Stella's Bistro - Simpsonville Ratings and Reviews
As always, Stellas’s provides a wonderful experience. Smiling hostess and excellent service upon entry. I️ had the beef carpaccio and my husband had a salad and cheese board for dinner tonight. We both loooove the food. It never ceases to impress the palate. So thankful we have this little gem close to home!
Very nice Friday night dinner for 4. Service was very good. Food was pretty good but not great. The short ribs were tender but a little salty. My wife had a fish special, pink snapper which was good. Our friends both had the shrimp and grits which they enjoyed.
Service was so-so; they weren't busy, but waiter seemed rushed. Food was unimpressive - appetizer was too salty, chowder was thin - and over-priced. Wait staff in faded brown t-shirts and white aprons made you feel like the kitchen staff was waiting on you. Just overall unimpressed. Would not go back or recommend.
The best food I have had is a restaurant Snappers in a long time! Amazing. Every bite was perfect! Our server Rebecca was outstanding, knowledgeable and personable. Perfect 31 St anniversary! Really out dinners we're fantastic!!!
My husband had the duck and it was divine as was the house smoked salmon appetizer and dessert. I chose a fish that was well prepared, as were the vegetables, but the sauce was not to my taste. The staff noticed that I did not eat all of it and were very concerned. I explained that I just chose the wrong entree for my mood, but the manager took half of the price of my dinner off the bill, even though I told them it was not necessary. That kind of service is excellent and we will definitely return to this restaurant.
Service was very good. Husband ordered the duck which was recommended medium rare and it definitely needed to be medium. Food was tasty, although overpriced. It was a farm to table place which seems to mean pricey. I think if we were to go back we'd share an entree.
We have recently moved to Simpsonville. All of our neighbors have raved about Stella's Southern Bistro. We love low country food and have gone to Charleston for years. The fish options on the menu were outstanding. We had Wreckfish and Monk fish. The preparation and presentation were unique and memorable. Our service was excellent. We loved our evening and will certainly visit the restaurant again soon.
Southern food, very small menu. Wanted to try this place, we went for our anniversary. Didn't see much I like on the menu so decided on the pork chop. It was okay, I make the same at home. The collard greens were very spicy and the cheese grits were the best part, I would go back just for those. We also had the cheese board which was four cheeses and nuts and figs, we enjoyed that. The dessert was chocolate mousse and was way too sweet, didn't finish it.
I did hear a different server offering cowboy ribeyes at the next table, we were disappointed we were not offered that since we both said we would have rather had the ribeyes. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was not my type but if you like southern food you will love it there.
My wife and I love Stella's! The food is always great and the staff practically knows us by name so they always bend over backwards to give us the best service and experience possible! The pork chop is easily one of my favorite dishes anywhere and the beef carpaccio is 2nd to none! I can always find a great beer for dinner and the bartenders are the best at making my wife's favorite martini. We HIGHLY recommend this Simpsonville gem!
Our family of four had an amazing experience dining outside! They were obviously very busy, but treated us as their only guests. We shared the pork belly......no words, simply decedent. Smoky, salty, fatty and delicious, possibly one of my favorites to come out of that kitchen. Also had the wedge, which I consider the best salad in Greenville. We split the pork tenderloin and quail which was awesome and finished with the blueberry pound cake. Overall the greatest dining experience in Greenville. Jeena, Becky (who took perfect care of us), Roger, Levi and Jeff; not to forget everyone in the kitchen, provided us with the best night we could've had. Thank you all!!
