Stella's Bistro - Simpsonville Ratings and Reviews
Celebrated wife's birthday. We were greeted with a glass of champagne. The waitress was very helpful with her explanation of the menu items. We each had the duck breast. Very good!!! Finished the dinner with the strawberry pound cake and Irish coffee. Very enjoyable dinner.
My family and I love Stella's. The service is always great. The food is fresh, inventive, and yummy. We've been going for years, and we never have a bad experience. We usually go for a nice dinner, but they're lunches are super as well, with a heck of a good burger.
The food was really very good with a nice emphasis on farm-to-table ingredients and showcasing the local providers. We liked the Southern Sampler platter to start. About the time we realized it had been quite a large gap of time and we did not have our entrees, a manager showed up out of the blue with a glass of champagne for each of us and apologies for the delay. He also offered desserts on the house at the end of our meal. While delays are unfortunate, they do sometimes occur (they had a very large party in another room) and a proactive response like that really means a lot. All the entrees were good (I had the duck sampler and LOVED it). Desserts were also good. Overall, quite a nice experience with good food and good service (Duke waited on us and we enjoyed talking with him).
The only downside was that it was somewhat noisy in there. I think it's simply the acoustics as all tables were not full and no one was being particularly loud at other tables.
We eat out regularly and Stella's is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is excellent - Levi is our favorite waiter. The staff is there when you need them, but leave you alone when you are eating/talking.
The menu varies so there are always fresh choices. They have a board which lists where the food is from so you see that it is local and it tastes very fresh.
Their wine list is adequate and their specialty drinks are great. (We are not big beer drinkers so we can't comment on the beer choices.)
Stella's is one of our absolute favorite restaurants! We have small children so, we only make it out to dinner alone a few times a year. Stella's is always our go to spot.
The food is delicious. The sorbet was amazing! We would like to see a few more vegetarian or vegan options (For the appetizers or main dishes)added to the menu in the future.
Thanks, Stella's Southern Bistro
We have never been disappointed eating at this restaurant. The wait staff is excellent and friendly. The food is sourced locally and is delicious. The restaurant is only about 15 minutes away so it is easy to get to for us. We are really looking forward to their new restaurant off Verdae in Greenville. I understand that they will offer different items on the menu which will be a good change of pace but we already know the quality of the food and the well trained wait staff. Thanks for another good evening repast.
