We had our pre-symphony dinner here and the food and service were on point. Deviled eggs, meatballs, fried avocado salad and pork chop with Brussels--everything was delicious and we'll be back for sure!

We went for the Mother’s Day brunch as a party of 10. The food was incredible. It was served family style (which I was a little worried about there not being enough in that kind of situation.) However, there was plenty of food! Such a great experience for a great price.

Great place to go for Mother's Day! Got a chance to try a lot of different things with the Pre fixe menu, but with so much food, I felt like we wasted a good portion of it.

Food was very good. Pleasantly surprised that with Yelp check in you get order of biscuits. Downside was biscuits were removed by server before our entrees arrived and there was still a biscuit remaining. Drinks were good although Pineapple Margarita was all Tequila!

Ordered a burger. Very basic menu item. Brioche bun was stale. Ended up eating most of the burger without the bun. Salmon tar tar appetizer was good. Nevertheless experience overall was mediocre.

Good food and ambiance but service and value were terrible. We waited over 20 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation, and didn't get our food for another 45 minutes after that. Our waiter was friendly but the rest of the staff was rude. The mimosas were $9 for maybe 8 ounces and smoothies were $6 for even less than that.

Ben our waiter was very knowledgeable and polite. The food was AMAZING the portions are good sized and the quality was on point. It was a little loud but not unbearable. It is also located in a hotel lobby which I didn’t seem to notice until I asked to use the restroom. Overall our experience was great.

Great food and really lovely server. The fried avocado salad was delicious. A hotel restaurant so on the expensive side for a meal but for the portion size this was okay! Would come back for the food and service but the ambience was a little too fancy for everyday dining.

In my 11 yrs in Austin, this was the most disappointing Easter buffet that I attended- and deserving of one of the very few negative reviews that I have written. The menu was very different than what I saw online. I was excited because of all the excellent reviews that Stella San Jac has received for its regular menu.
However the ingredients were mostly cheap and flavorless and absolutely nothing really stood out. Donut holes dipped in cream and pieces of bread with cream cheese and cucumber just don't cut it for a $55 offering (per person). I really don't know most of the things that I bit into, and the waitress could not tell me either what I was eating. A few things actually had a very unpleasant taste to them.
The roasted pork (the main entree) was tender and plentiful, though somewhat dry and overcooked. However, unlike other Establishments, there were no complex tasty sauces to put on top of it (or cooked into it), and the whole experience was really quite bland.
To top it all off, the music was very loud and inappropriate to the atmosphere (and nearly empty place) and there was nothing to drink included in the price and no dessert. I am not talking about alcoholic beverages (though many places include Mimosas), but no coffee or orange juice- nothing except water. I have to confess that the wait-staff tried to warn us upfront of what what we had to expect (unsolicited from us) and offered not to seat us. We should have listened, but we were too hungry and risked it. On the way home, my wife and I were talking about all the things we could have done for approximately $140 (including tip and tax) that we would have enjoyed so much more than Stella San Jac. Definitely not recommended and a very poor value (at least for this Easter Brunch).

The food was absolutely delicious - each dish and the serving/plating was amazing. Most servers were great -- accommodating, friendly, helpful and smiled.....but one seemed to be bothered by the fact that we had a toddler with us. We were a group of 8 and while I understand the logistics of accommodating us, this server's attitude improved toward the end of the meal, but it was off-putting at the start.

Went for Easter Brunch. Description was somewhat misleading (advertised various seafood when you really had to request it and it was on a crostini). Very overpriced for what you received.

I took my parents, my wife and son to the Easter brunch. We did this last year and it was a great experience. They have an all you can eat prix fixe menu with a large variety of different hors d'oeuvres that come with the first course. From the moment that we sat down, our server was unable to answer basic questions (will they charge us $29 for my 3 year old to eat a few bites? what type of tea did they have? etc.) We were very polite even though our server seemed like it was her first day there. Things really fell apart when I attempted to get another round of hors d'oeuvres for the table. She had no idea what was on any of them and when requesting specific pieces (as the sous chef told us we could when he delivered the original batch to our table), she was completely incapable of helping us get them. I tried to make it simple and told her to just bring another batch without the charcuterie meat, as we didn't want anymore of that. What she ended up bringing us out was a completely vegetarian hors d'oeuvres selection, which confused all of us. I asked her what happened and she explained that she is a vegetarian so she thought that's what I wanted. I asked for her to again just bring us the original boards with no variation. She became clearly unhappy with us for simply asking for what we were paying for. She stopped speaking to us and honestly made us all feel very uncomfortable. She eventually did come back with a small sampling of the original board, not including the specific pieces we were asking for and we just accepted it because it was clearly not going to work out. The food was all excellent, but I think there was a major disconnect in the training of our server as she had no knowledge of what we were eating (some of us had dietary restrictions), and made our meal more stressful than need be while not delivering the food we were asking for. I have left a voicemail for the management at Stella San Jac and have not heard anything back so far.

We had reserved an outdoor table based on the photos but, when we got there, the outdoor seating was not very inviting. The host kindly moved us to an indoor table. Our servers were excellent. The food was good. We liked the biscuits and brussel sprout appetizers. One person ordered the pork chop, and it came with terrific kale and sweet potatoes. I ordered red fish. The fish was good but side did not have any color - I would have really liked to have the sides that came with the pork chop.

Good place for small plates and cocktails. Biscuits were excellent - rich but light. Salmon tartare was nicely seasoned and a generous portion. They took the "small plate" concept a little farther than was convenient - the plates we dined from were roughly the size of saucers and a bit awkward to manage. Great and personable waitress and we appreciated the visit to our table from the chef, but everyone disappeared when we were eager to get the bill.

We had a 12:15p reservation. The waiter took our orders in a timely manner and then disappeared. 30 minutes later we went to find her. Either the wait staff or kitchen staff or both were understaffed for this peak time. Drinks were late, food was late. The food tasted good. We had a deadline for a graduation ceremony which made the experience stressful and thoroughly unenjoyable.

Went for brunch. Ordered three breakfast entrees and waffles for table. Our waitress didn’t write down our order and when our food came out it was cold and the pancakes never came. We did not eat our meals and the waitress was nice enough to take the pancakes off our bill and my friends meal because she didn’t touch it. The hostess was also not even at the desk when we walked in and waited 10 minutes for her to come up. She didn’t even apologize and there were almost 15 people waiting behind us. Super disappointed, will not be coming back.

Based on the reviews on OpenTable and Trip Advisor, I really expected more. The food was really mediocre and the service was just okay. Always had to ask for more water and coffee. Their signature chicken fried steak was dry and rather tasteless. Wish I had gone somewhere else for brunch.

Our experience here was excellent! We had a fabulous waiter, Ben, who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We were celebrating our anniversary and were given two complimentary glasses of champagne for the occasion, how thoughtful! The food was deliciously modern and creative that left us satisfied and full. This establishment overall was above and beyond our expectations!

Food was decent but not overly creative. I ordered redfish and subbed out the quinoa for the grits. So the fish was displayed naked on the plate. No lemon wheel, no color to dress it up. Nothing. Then waitress charged me for the grits like they were an add on. Not a substitution. Had fun with my friends but I doubt I will go there again.

The food was pretty good and the ambiance was nice! The service was beyond strange. Apparently the wait staff doesn’t have sections for their tables so we had two waitresses serving us. They clearly didn’t communicate at all and we found ourselves repeating ourselves every time. For instance, one one take our drink order and a few minutes later the other would come over to take our drink order and we’d have to tell her we already put it in with the other waitress. This happened for EVERY single interaction we had with the waitresses. Then, they didn’t bring some of the things we asked for (creamer for the coffee, the side of toast we asked for, etc). Overall, the service really turned me off from this place despite everything else being good.
