Stella Blu Ratings and Reviews
A small group of us went out to celebrate a birthday! Everyone was extremely friendly! Great food and atmosphere! There was live music and lots of food! We are definitely headed back soon! (Do yourself a favor... try the doughnuts for dessert! You won’t regret it! 😉)
We always enjoy coming here, whether it's just the 2 of us or with family and friends. We can eat and enjoy the wonderful food. We're never there late enough for the music. But, from the bits I've heard, will have to make time to come back to listen. Sounded very nice.
Took my husband here for dinner before the symphony for his birthday. We ordered a cheese/meat platter, crab cakes and Spanish meatballs. The cheese and meat were very good, but what they billed as "artisan" crackers seemed nothing more than water crackers you can buy in any store. We both really liked the Spanish meatballs, and crab cakes were quite good. I'm not the best judge of these, however, because I'm not a big fan of any crab cake, but since it was hubby's birthday I let him choose everything. Our server had a very delightful way about her, and she was very attentive. It was early on a Saturday (5:30) and I felt the music coming from the speakers was way too loud for a less busy time and less than crowded time. Overall though, it was a good experience and we both agree that we will go back again.
It was great for a girl's night out. Service was awesome , cocktails were delicious , tapas was very different, I liked having all the different options to pick at. I do not think that it would be somewhere I would go with my husband. He would not enjoy the small portion tapas plates.
The service extended to us by Casey was exemplary. We wanted to dine quietly but hadn't realized before making reservations that there was going to be a DJ & very LOUD music for the bar scene/dancing so it was not quite what we were hoping for. Our first choice dinner option was not available - on a seemingly quiet dining night - the second choice option - Carbonara was bland but the Short Rib Ravioli was excellent. This is the kind of place that I might frequent for drinks & tapas - which to be fair is how it's billed - but not for dining.
We have been trying different tapas restaurant for some time now and found Stella Blu to be a very good place to try their tapas. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I would have liked a bit more variety (relative to dishes I like) but that's a personal preference. The only negative was that we sat next to a group of 6 or 8 folks that were extremely loud - so loud that there were multiple times I could not hear my wife talk across our two person table. She could turn down her hearing aid (which made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation) but I don't wear a hearing aid so had to put up with the loud chatter. I think it would have been a completely different situation if it weren't for that group.
This was our third visit to Stella Blu and it was as good as the first couple. We were lucky enough to have the same wonderful server (Jillian) who has provided prompt and friendly service each time. Once again we ordered all small plates to share and each was very tasty. The spinach and artichoke dip is a favorite and the kobe beef sliders and tuna tacos were both excellent. And of course the drinks- best martinis around! Next time maybe we will try some of the pastas and main courses as there are many interesting choices. We also enjoyed the live music- all around a fun evening!
I would like to say first, when I go to a restaurant that serves Tapas, I know what to expect.
The food was good. We order Tapas so that we can experience more of what the restaurant has to offer. The service, it was good right up to the point that my wife asked, on Armed Forces day, if there was a discount for military. We don't expect it and to be honest, we tip based on the original charge. This also works out better for the server. When the question was asked by my wife the server snapped back with "I don't know" and had a conversation loud enough for other patrons to turn, point and have additional conversation about us in the restaurant. As I mentioned the service was good up to this point so I always tip more than usual in these cases. The end of our experience here is the one that will last with me. I will not be back.
Just so we are clear, my wife is the military member. Stella Blu, aim higher.
The food was excellent, flavorful, and fresh! A great cocktail menu and wine list as well. The Crab cakes, scallops, and margarita pizza were on point. The tuna taco was great as well, Brussel sprouts and of course the caramel crunch and cinnamon sugar donuts!
I came to this restaurant because of the reviews but unfortunately it didn't hit the mark for me. The spot was very cute and the service was on point, but unfortunately the tapas were extremely sub-par. They lacked flavor, some were cold, the short rib I couldn't even cut. The calamari and spanish meatballs has no flavor. The only tapa I really liked were the Kobe sliders. They did have a great bar and the drinks were very good. Unfortunately, this place is too far for me to visit just for a drink so I won't be returning.
We went for my birthday celebration early Sunday evening. Made reservations and were seated immediately. Waitstaff prompt, friendly, and helpful. Menu selection was quite varied and the three of us each selected favorites to share. Cocktails were inventive and tasty! Food appealed to the eye and palate. All was quite yummy! We'd go again.
Stella Blu is as good as it gets in the Nashua area. The restaurant scene in Nashua and Manchester is surprisingly weak, if you want a spectacular meal in NH head to Dover or Portsmouth. That said Stella Blu is pretty good. They do small plates, we had six dishes, we enjoyed everything except the scallops which neither of us liked.
Had a wonderful time enjoying tapas and drinks with friends on Saturday night. We ordered 7 or 8 different small plates, which were served at well-timed intervals. We always had at least two different items to enjoy, yet the table was not overflowing with food. The service was excellent; friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. One of our party has a severe food allergy, and it was reassuring that our server knew all of the dishes that might be problematic (and she confirmed with the chef before we ordered). We will definitely return for another girls' night out!
