Stella Barra Pizzeria - Hollywood Ratings and Reviews
What a great spot! Just sorry I didn't find before now. If you are heading to Pantages, Cinerama Dome, Arclight, Hollywood Blvd. in general - check out Stella! Homemade goodies in the coffee bar are to die for!
Burrata, Brussels sprouts, pizza - yum!
Make it your go-to place in Hollywood!
The appetizers and pizzas were very good. The place was casual, loud but energetic. Draft beer selection was excellent, both the pilsner and IPA I tried were great. There is a parking structure in the same building, very convenient. I did not check if the restaurant validated parking.
We got the prosciutto and egg white pizza and it was amazing!! However just know that you are NOT coming here for the service. Customer service is severely lacking. Never once saw the bartenders smile, hostess seemed to forget about us even though we had a reservation, and a second person not sure if she was a host or what but just kept spinning around and jumping around with another co worked up front. Don't get me wrong, food is GREAT! Just wish they would work on customer service a little.
I hadn't been to Stella Barra in years and I was glad that the quality was still the same. We were catching a movie at ArcLight with only an hour for dinner and the staff was great/accommodating getting our meal out quick. Loved everything we ordered and will be back again!
This is a good option for before or after the Arclight. Bar seating is very comfortable and they make good drinks. Bartenders can be a bit cold but Vinnie is always the best. (usually on the east end of the bar) I think their pizza is one of the best in town!
Casual environment where tables are not on top of each other so conversation was not difficult. The buffet brunch was easy and a great alternative to the extensive menu. Overall value was excellent but they need more wait staff to handle the number of tables.
My group and I were celebrating my birthday which included seeing Hamilton at The Pantages after dinner. We were seated right away, had excellent service, the drinks were great, food was delicious and we really appreciated how fast the service was which gave us plenty of time to walk to The Pantages. Can't wait to return.
This was our first visit. We had lunch prior to the Hamilton matinee at the Pantages :) We live in a section of OC where everything is chain -- aka BORING -- so it was wonderful to dine at an inventive and unique restaurant while in LA. Friendly service, low-key, great food, all-around great time.
Generally, this is a great spot before or after a movie. Really great food, solid service.
Which is why I booked it as a Saturday night spot to have a fun dinner to catch up with a good friend. Unfortunately, the Saturday night environment is way different than "the usual". The music was so loud, I had to yell and it was anything but relaxing, fun or enjoyable. I asked the hostess about turning it down and she politely told me she wasn't allowed.
We tried to sit it out, but ended up leaving just a few minutes later. It was intolerably loud for conversation.
Such a fun, lively place. Great food - especially love the Brussels Sprouts and the Avocado Pesto pizza. Cocktails and beer are all good. Easy place to be, very friendly and fun. It truly is the perfect dinner place before seeing a movie at the Arclight. Highly recommend.
We chose the location because it was close to the Dome and we could park at the Arclight. I was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. The vibe was robust and had good flow and energy. Our server was really sweet, sincere and capable! The pizza crust was amazing-soggy crusted pizza places bow down to this place! Will definitely be back.
They were busy and short-handed yet the Manager went out of his way to seat us, take our initial drink order and left us in good hands of our server. manager fixed a computer issue on the check too without any issue. attentive service and great food as always.
Enjoy this restaurant for pre- or post-Arclight movie going. Convenient, relatively consistent. Some really good pizza choices. Staff never seems that engaged and drink refills and the like take some doing to happen, but hell, you're in a chain restaurant on Sunset in Hollywood. Expectations need to be managed.
