Stella Barra is an artisanal pizzeria with an eclectic menu inspired by the idea of simple honest cooking. Chef Jeff Mahin has developed a network of farms and purveyors to supply the restaurant with fresh-milled, 100% California flour for his handcrafted dough, as well as sustainably farmed organic produce, meats and cheeses. Pizza toppings range from prosciutto to shaved truffle to smoked bacon and can be served on a lighter “Thin Sin” pizza crust, or even gluten-free dough.

On Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-2pm, Stella Barra presents a chef-inspired brunch buffet for $19.95 complete with cinnamon rolls, breakfast enchiladas, caramelized french toast and more, plus $5 select brunch cocktails. Kids 10 & under eat FREE. Reservations accepted.

Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, Stella Barra has a private back patio seating up to 60 guests. The room sits beneath a retractable awning, which can be opened or closed (weather permitting). The space is also heated during the winter months, creating the perfect atmosphere to host baby and bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, corporate events and more! The space is also available for buyouts, private daytime luncheons (Monday-Friday) and weekend gatherings.

Stella Barra has a private back patio space seating up to 60 guests. The space sits beneath a retractable awning, which can be opened or closed (weather permitting). Loved our evening at Shell Barra. I found the place to be hipster trendy with a dark and classy decor. The entrance will throw you off a little, as they do share it with The Summer House, their sister restaurant - go right.

We had 7:30 reservations and were seated immediately. I really enjoyed their Cesar Salad and thought the Calamari was top notch. Pizza wise, the margarita was excellent. Their tap selection of beer is pleasantly worthy... and I really can't say enough nice things about our server, Diana. She was great! My husband and I really enjoyed our meal.

Looking forward to returning here for brunch. Definitely bringing the kiddos with us next time. This place is super.

This was our first time to Stella Barra and it was wonderful! Great vibe, fun atmosphere, delicious food! We went for my daughter's birthday and our waiter served a cookie with ice cream as a surprise!

My girlfriend and I went to Stella's for our three year anniversary. Not only was the food great, but it was some of the best service I've experienced in Chicago. The manager was extremely nice, along with the waitstaff. We are 100% going back.

Sat us (party of 7) about 10 minutes after our reservation on a very busy Saturday night. Our server was great- super attentive and friendly even though they were busy! We enjoyed every pizza we ordered to share and we loved the GF thin and crispy crust!

Overall we had a nice time. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was outstanding, but the burrata appetizer was just ok. We ordered 2 pizzas; the Margarita which was just ok, and the Avocado & Arugula topped with an egg, which was outstanding.
The pizzas have a LOT of crust which is tasteless by itself. We asked for a side of the red sauce to dip the crust into, which was good. Without it, we would have just left the crust. How much plain crust, with no toppings can you eat??
Dessert was amazing; we had the butterscotch creme brulee.

I really enjoyed Stella Barra. We arrived for our reservation and it was clear this restaurant was very popular. We did have a bit of a wait to get seated, but the bartenders were quick to get us a glass of wine while we waited. When we were sat, our server was friendly and explained the menu. We were able to do a half and half pizza and we loved it! Our server even gracious comp'd some of our wine. Will definitely come back here!

The food was AMAZING! Highly recommend the brussels sprouts appetizer and the pizza was outstanding. Our only issue was that we had to wait 40 minutes even though we had a reservation. This was poor customer service, they should know how many reservations they can take and not overbook.

We went for brunch, which was really breakfast. The food was really nicely prepared and presented. That said, it was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash. With tax and tip it was $89 for 3 of us. Seems like a lot.

The food was good, service just okay. Did not see any value here, house Chardonnay was $14 a glass and a Negroni was $15, way too high for Lincoln park. Will not return.

Edgardo was absolutely outstanding, knowledgeable and extremely helpful and gave us a free dessert to help us celebrate our exciting news of having a new addition to our family 10/10 would go just to see him. Best service I have had in Chicago from a server.

This was my first visit to Stella Barra. I will definitely be back! The crispy Brussels are some of the best I've ever had. The pizza was delicous with a tasty crust. The server was both friendly and professional. I highly recommend Stella Barra.
