Loved Father’s Day brunch
Usually the brunch at SB is good but not today. Made a reservation on open table, showed up DID NOT get my points, wtf? On the reservation we made a note it was my daughters birthday and when called the hostess told me they will bring a cookie and ice ream but that NEVER happened - so much for a nice experience. Food quality was good but they ran out of many items and when asked where are the eggs, where is the lox and toast points mgt said we are working on it, 20 minutes later, nothing. By the time the manager said the food will be coming out I said just forget it, too late.
Mediocre food, which is hard to do with pizza. Service was awful. Had to move tables after they sat us at one where a worn out leather couch sagged so much we couldn't reach the table to eat. Then took a long time to place our order. Lost a drink order. Failed to deliver mains to the table at the same time so I was left eating 10 minutes after everyone else had finished. Plus expensive. No thanks.
Our service (outside) took forever! We ordered 2 pizza’s and were there over an hour. I have eaten her a lot and this is the first time the food wasn’t good. It was overcooked and chewy not crunchy. And why is the wine $11 a glass but $46 for the bottle? 4 glasses would be $44.
Very unimpressed last weekend!
So-o-o noisy. Service was good, food was OK. Restaurant could be cleaner.
The pizza was great, especially the one with butternut squash. I am not a big fan of their beer selection. No lagers on draft.
Pizza was excellent! Crisp, crunchy, well cooked crust. Margharita pizza sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes and not overly sweet. Prosciutto pizza with egg was divine; like Ham & eggs for breakfast. My only complaint is, it was very hot in the restaurant! Doors are left open and with the ovens going, it was never cool and comfortable in the restaurant....hot!! It was 80 outside but, 95+ inside.
Staff seem uninterested in actually paying attention to customers. Order was wrong and food took forever. First and last time going here.
Delicious brunch. No waisted item choices like some brunches that offer a plethora of subpar items.
Food and restaurant were great as always server was a bit slow and not very tentative
Love their cocktails. I've tried several on various occasions, never disappointed. Salads are good. Used to like the stuffed pappadews, don't see them on menu anymore.
Way too loud, slow, and expensive for pizza. There are much better options nearby. Waited forever to pay and finally escape. Way too loud for casual conversation. Could not wait for my visit to be over.
Food is always delicious. However, the service was extremely slow. I believe that the kitchen was the hold-up. Then, half of my son's pizza fell on the floor (in the kitchen). They made another one for him, but we were all finished eating and stayed a long time waiting for him to be fed (and we were celebrating his birthday).
The food is excellent but the service was horrible and the restaurant was basically empty. When we pointed that out the waitress she just shrugged her shoulders. Also the pizza took 40 minutes!
The brunch was great. Nice variety!
It is a small restaurant but the food is awesome. They have a great Cobb salad and pizza. I recently had their brunch and it was delicious. Everything was phenomenal.
Mother’s Day Brunch was Amazing
First time there and will definitely go back. Food was excellent, decent service, and nice ambiance.
Great place for families or adults wanting a casual evening out. The Caesar salad was large enough for two and not overly-dressed. The margherita pizza was especially tasty, if a bit salty. Our server was very friendly. Our one complaint was that it was too dark in the room. But overall, an enjoyable place, and w plan to return.
We were seated promptly for our reservation. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. They try hard to please guests. One of the managers was also working the buffet. The food is yummy and there’s a good selection. My favorites are the scrambled eggs and the chicken sausage. The bacon is of good quality but a little salty. The yogurt parfait is excellent. The salmon is fresh. It’s a nice buffet for brunch overall. The mimosas are good too. Thanks
Took my parents there for a Sunday brunch and service and atmosphere was awesome. Food was delicious and a variety to choose from. I liked the music in the background too! This was my 2nd time back!
We always have a delicious meal and a good time at Stella Barra. Only complaint is noise level -- in a larger group it is almost impossible to hear across the table. Very courteous wait staff that aims to please. It's one of our go to restaurants -- mainly because they have gluten free crusts for me!
Eight of us out for a 14th birthday celebration for our daughter. Our server Alex was amazing and made the whole experience wonderful. The food is amazing and priced great for what you get!
Beautiful evening so this place was jam-packed! Must be why the service was slower than usual. As always, the pizza was delicious. Oh, and the butterscotch pudding was amazing!
I hate pizza in general, but my wife (who dragged me unwillingly here) and I actually very much enjoyed this place. We consider it an unexpected gem of a find and would defintely recommend. Our server Katherine was great. The option to add prosciutto to any pie is also an enticement for the meat connoisseur. The giant dessert cookies are also a must have — even for a guy like me with no sweet tooth.
Great night. Food better than I remember. Service was perfect. We arrived at 8:30pm and there was a nice buzz in the restaurant without the rush of parties waiting to be seated.
My daughter had a birthday lunch with friends, which they had a wonderful experience. We made reservations with Joellen for a decent sized group, which made our arrival seamless. Our server, Chris was spot on and kept everything flowing beautifully. And the manager, Kevin made sure everyone was happy! Definitely a great place to visit with friends and family.
My family and I really enjoyed this restaurant. It is certainly a gem in this area. The pizza was excellent and my children enjoyed the spaghetti and meat balls. Desert was great - fresh, enormous cookies!!!!
We appreciated the large, clean bathrooms as we have a newly potty trained toddler.
Hand down the best brunch for under $20 a head in the local area. Great selection of hot, fresh and very tasty items.
Book straight away and you won’t be disappointed
Our go-to Sunday brunch. Food is always good. Definitely need a reservation!
Poor service !!! We wait for everything : drink and pizza, the check ! And the restaurant wasn’t full !
We have enjoyed Stella Barra on many occasions - the pizza is delicious (love the butternut squash)! Unfortunately, this time our pizza was made with the wrong toppings and it was undercooked (crust was wet and gummy). The waitress and manager were very apologetic and accommodating, but the pizza was pretty disappointing. We will likely return, as this has not been the typical experience at Stella Barra.
Service was horrible. Open table reservation was worthless. Asked for a quiet table. One high top adjacent to bar was available.
The restaurant was so loud that we couldn't hear anyone speak at our table of 8. The salads were delicious but nothing that I couldn't make at home. The brussel sprouts were delicious, the best part of the meal. The pizzas had some interesting combinations but I wouldn't call them tasty and no one wanted the leftovers. The dessert cookies were extremely stale which makes me wonder if that's why they always offer to warm them up.
Very good thin crust pizza. Calamari was tender and delicious.
Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Ordered children’s meals that didn’t come out until almost the end of the dinner, pizzas were cold, cheese was not melted and service was horrible. The time it took to get everything was ridiculous and the server never cleared the tables once. The server kept apologizing and blaming the mishaps for various reasons. They ended up comping half of our dinner and giving us $100 in gift cards to come back. Not sure we will ever come back. Having been an almost regular at the Santa Monica location, this was a REAL disappointment. I recommended that the staff take a trip out to see how that Stella Barra is.
Given the solid reputation of the parent company - Lettuce Entertain You - in the gluten free world, we were extremely disappointed in this restaurant. We couldn't get a straight answer about safe food prep (different answers over the phone versus in person) and didn't feel comfortable the entire meal.
My fiancé and I went to Stella Barra for Valentine's Day. Our reservation was at 8:00 and we arrived at 8:05, but we weren't seated until around 8:20. Our server was very attentive and upbeat and checked in on us several times throughout the evening. Food came out quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. We love that the restaurant vibe is both hip and laidback!
Great service and healthy food, team members well trained.
They were out of gnocchi but the pizza was out of this world! Definitely felt a little overpriced but the place is nice, the food is delicious, and it’s the perfect spot for a date.
