Stella Barra - North Bethesda
Great service. Pizza is good.
really bad service this time. my salad came well after the pizza even after I said something.
Service a bit slow at start, but picked up nicely. Loved the meatball appetizer. Pizza ok. Will come back
We had a great time celebrating my daughter’s birthday with six of her friends. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely visit again!
A great family friendly spot!
Every time we go to Stella Barra we have a blast! This time, it was our five-year-old daughter‘s birthday and she was able to make pizza and have tons of fun while still eating dinner :-) Their service and appreciation for their customers is second to none.
Very fun pizza joint with wonderful service and ambiance. The pizzas were delicious, as was the bottle of wine we ordered. The kids were super comfortable on the couch and we were able to watch college football at the same time. It was a win for all of us!
We brought our 3 year old grandson with us for an early dinner..We sat outside so it was a little noisy but still comfortable! we ordered 2 pizzas and they were both delicious....Our grandson couldn't get ENOUGH...We also ordered the Brussels sprouts which were great...the "little kid" took pass....BUT he was very happy with a salted chocolate chip cookie (a small piece!)
An easy evening with great service and great food AND GREAT COMPANY too!
Our waitress was eh. The food was good but pricey.
Good service and food.
We made a reservation to sit on the patio with our dogs. We checked in with the hostess and she sat us immediately. About 10 minutes later I had to get up and go to the host stand to ask someone to please come to our table. A young male server asked me if I sat myself outside making the presumption that we hadn’t been greeted or served now for over 12 minutes because nobody knew we were there. I told him the hostess sat us and then he said he’d look for our server. A couple minutes later our server came out to greet us. It took about 15+ minutes to get a glass of water and a drink. We enjoyed our pizza but literally, we only saw our server to drop off the pizza and drop off the check. Didn’t get a second beer as we never saw him again. Additionally, numerous tables in the patio were not bussed and just sitting dirty. Eventually people came out to clean them up. We were extremely disappointed in our experience!
Their pizzas are amazing and staff was very friendly and we had excellent service. Our appetizer wasn’t brought out until after the pizzas so they comped that appetizer. Also the restaurant was very crowded as it is a Friday night and we still got our pizza within 30 minutes of being seated.
We arrived at 6 p.m. and it was crowded, evidently early bird special was on and there were kids galore because you can't feed a family pizza here otherwise. The cost was close to a theme park admission fee.
The marguerite was Okay, fed 2 with a side salad, also pricey.
The special pizza with fresh tomato and creamy was very tasty.
Matt, our server was excellent.
We are from New York, although it holds true for Chicago as well where you can get a really good pizza for around $25 that feeds 4 just about every other block.
It is very hard to get a decent pizza in the DC/MD area that is real, so if you go by that standard, then Stella Barra was fairly good.
Everything was good. We were there early, so it wasn’t very crowded.
The food was okay, but not great. The ambiance is nice, and service was okay, but the prices were too high for the level of quality.
Celebrating a friend
We had a great time! It was hot inside at times but the food was delicious and i would definitely come back for their brunch.
Poor waiter We had to clear our own plates and chase down our waiter for refill on coffee. The bill was totally messed up and we lost our lettuce entertain you points. Not a good experience in any way.
Service was excellent and food outstanding
Great surprise! Delicious pizza with all fresh ingredients. Service was great. Perfect for a wholesome meal that is gourmet.
Cute place, good food for the price. It’s a little dark in there but otherwise a cute place
Hadn’t been there in a while. Price value not great if you want pizza got for it. But apps were pricing chicken wings not cooked meatballs super spicy and kale salad tasteless and heavy with dressing. Service good. Place was empty if you do t want pizza skip it
So nice to children who can make their own pizza!!!!!!
They have a limited menu - only pizza - but they do it very well.
It is connected to the Summer House - I would go back to Stella Barra 10 times before returning to the Summer House
Waiter virtually ignored table after serving drinks + appetizer. Perhaps too many tables but dining room was about 1/3 full - we dined al fresco but I made a trip to the washroom. When food arrived only 2 of 3 pizzas delivered...by hostess. She appeared to be untrained as a server; a slice from one pizza fell from the tray onto the table and she was un-phased. When pointed out, she didn’t apologize nor take any action; the slice simply lied there. After 7 minutes of waiting for the 3rd pizza, we asked. The waiter still wasn’t around. Another 5 minutes passed before it arrived. The next time we saw the waiter was to request the check, and ask if we wanted another glass of wine. Really? Oh, and he picked up the “wayward” slice of pizza from the table. We assumed there must have been some dialogue about it...yet he offered no apology. In many years of dining, this is perhaps only the second or third time I have left an unacceptable tip.
Been eating here regularly since it opened and have had several bad experiences over the past few months. Both the food and service have definitely gone downhill. With so many local options we will not be back for a while.
The sparkling wine was warm and I had to put an ice cube in it to cool it down. The pizza was no better than dominos but three times the price. The only thing that was good was the service--and mostly because he did not bother us overly much. Will not go back again and disappointing as I like summer house next door.
The food really needs to be better. Best thing I had was the arugula salad, which was simple but good. The tomato sauce on the pizza is a bit heavy and dense tomato. It needs a little more complexity and seasoning. And the crust is not great either. It's tough and the inner dough is flimsy. They should really be getting the pizza right. Meatballs were tasty but again, too dense with that same too blah tomato sauce. Calamari was excellent.
Service was very good. Friendly and helpful.
As I told you yesterday we didn’t honor the reservation because no one greeted us or served us so my niece wanted to leave and go to DelFrisco across the street Please do not include my ratings as we didn’t eat there
Great Service. Had a business meeting and Valentina provided perfect service. Food was yummy too. Thank you!
Excellent pizza in a casual but comfortable environment.
Our kids had a ball making their own pizzas in the back and the staff were outstanding with them. The adults cocktails and food were also excellent. We will be back.
This pizza is so tasty! It makes you not want to eat pizza anywhere else
Lively atmosphere, prompt service and good food. Will go back!
The overall mood and vibes of the spot were good. It was my sons birthday so he got to make a pizza and that was awesome!!! The food was above average. The wings were bland to me but pizza was very good. Service was ok. The bar area is crowded I noticed but I had a booth that was perfect! I would go back! Good times
One of only handful delectable brunches in area. Still love the salmon toast (& I add guac), breaded mac & cheese, sausage home fries... I like how the egg white changed to a fritata because the egg white & kale was quite bland before. Spoons for yogurt parfait could have had more attention (only one left and was dirty when I needed it). Can we make the chicken sausage & french toast less dry?
Pizza dinner is very good but wings are messy.
Stella Barra was great. We started with Tomato Soup and Brussels Sprouts. Delicious. Then we shared a half and half, thin crust pizza. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience.
Long wait time for food with no explanation. To go order was wrong
