Nice restaurant but. Or great for a business dinner. Too noisy with the outside entertainment. Food is fine but service is somewhat lacking.
Great server. Too loud. Bar service slow. Food amazing
Patio is amazing! Staff was very nice! But the food... The food was out of this world. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 1 year and they made it very special for us!!! We will definitely be going back.
Excellent! Everything from the food, to the service and the setting was great!
That we’re running behind on seating not enough room for people waiting. Overall was Very Good experience. I understand it was Saturday night. I’ll be Back.
The food was great! However, We had birthday reservations at 8:30pm, didn’t sit down until 9:20pm. The wait staff was great, however, the long wait of being told by the host “they are setting your table now” got old after being told it multiple times. They should have just said it would have been that long, either could have went someplace else or tried to watch the band instead of sitting in the waiting room.
The steaks were very good as I expected they should be. Filets cooked medium rare just like we like it. The waitress could have been a little more attentive for the amount of money we were spending. Steiner Ranch is not for people on a low budget.
Dinner was delicious. We both went with a suggestion from our waitress, the Cowboy Ribeye and so glad we did. After dinner, we watched the sunset while listening to the music of Drew Womack on the patio. It was a very relaxing evening. We will definitely be back!
Good place but new waitress who was nervous and slow. Food was good but not great. View is wonderful and music was very good.
The ambiance is always right at SRSH. The service and the food quality are good but serving food more timely and hot would be better. I had cold veggies and potatoes and while they sent out new ones gladly I would have preferred they came with my entree instead of 20 minutes later. The servers are over 'tabled' and drinks are incredibly slow to get to the table (I only had 2 drinks and he recommended doubles since the bar is so slow.
We will still be back but this would turn me off completely if it were not for the amazing view and live music.
Went to Steiner Ranch Steakhouse for dinner and the band. Both were great. I want to go back soon.
We typically love Steiner Ranch Steakhouse but it just really seemed off. Not sure if they were shorthanded but our waitress just was having a hard time. And it was not as crowded as we have seen it. Took forever to get our initial cocktails which is why you go there to wind down in the great outdoor venue. The appetizer came out before the drinks so by the time we ate it, the crab cakes were dry. My spinach salad came out all wrong...no grilled shrimp, no dressing just a pile of spinach with two strips of bacon on it. Again no drinks... no drinks.. Very expensive evening for the quality of the food and timing of the drinks.
Easter brunch, too many people for the space. They had difficulty keeping the buffet replenished. Food not very warm. Our server was great! Price was reasonable food average.
We went for Easter brunch. It was too crowded and the kitchen could not keep up. Overpriced
Wonderful food with outstanding service!!!
The ambiance is very special for a couple or a holiday dinner.
I generally enjoy Steiner however tonight was simply average, we asked for our favorite wine and our waiter tried to switch us to a bottle 40% higher.
My friend and I ordered the tomahawk steak which wasn’t cheap and it should be sliced table side, my waiter simply cut it in half lengthwise clearly he wasn’t trained how to do this properly and the stake was undercooked.
My friend asked for dressing for the salad and he simply forgot.
To be fair the restaurant was busy.
Our check was way over 350 dollars for 4 people but it was average.
Awesome food and wine
I cannot say how grateful I was that my steak was cooked to a perfect temperature (medium rare), kudos to the chef. It was my boyfriend's birthday dinner and we got there fairly early, however there weren't that many people in there except the pianist. We had a great dining experience, it was quiet and our waiter was great! We will definitely be coming back.
My wife and I were in town for the first time and we wanted to try a authentic Texas steakhouse. We were not disappointed. SRS was everything we were looking for and more. We made reservations for 9:00 pm on a Wednesday night. I had requested an out door table in order to enjoy the incredible view. When we arrived our hostess seated us immediately in a outdoor table with a great view, just like we requested. Our waiter, Joe, promptly greeted us at our table. Joe was fantastic. He was very attentive, knowledgeable and had a great personality as well. I ordered the she crab soup as an appetizer and it was very good. My wife ordered the spinach salad and she loved it. Since the steaks were so big , my wife and I decided to split the cowboy ribeye (based on Joe’s recommendation). We ordered the ribeye medium and it was cooked to perfection. Our steak came out nicely seared and crisp on the outside and tinder with a little pinkness on the inside. Our server actually split the entree for us at our table so we didn’t have to do that ourselves. The sides of mashed potatoes and green beans served as a great compliment to the ribeye. The overall atmosphere was as good as it gets. The uniqueness of the restaurant, the view of the lights at night, and a solo acoustic guitarist added to the incredible ambiance. To top the evening off, SRS provided free valet service for their customers. This restaurant treats it customers with class. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely be back to Steiner Ranch!
great as always! love the brunch there. outside enjoying the great view and live music. the food is great. thanks
Absolutely delightful time. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly. Overall wonderful experience, again.
One of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time and the manager was one of best I’d ever encountered. Jason did a fantastic job making sure our anniversary was perfect.
We arrived at 7:20 pm for a 7:30 pm reservation. There was no place to park, and we were asked not to park in the Valet spaces at the north end, and were told to park down the hill at the overflow parking. We were fortunate to find another space that opened up and we parked there.
We were not seated until 8:05 pm, and were not served until 8:30 pm. However, the service person was fantastic, and made up for the negative reception we received when we arrived. The food is good, but overpriced.
We waited 30 minutes to be seated, despite having a reservation. No offerings were made to amend for this lengthy delay (i.e. free appetizer, dessert, drink, etc.). Service was also slow. The food, however, was fantastic.
We brought old friends from California. They declared you the best steakhouse ever. Loved the lighted menus.
We have enjoyed eating indoors at SR for quiet dinners during the winter but eating on the patio on a Saturday night during warmer weather with the band playing was a disaster. It was so loud, even during band breaks the recorded music was blaring. It was terribly crowded and the service was awful. It took two hours to receive our food, salads were brought 30’ apart for each of us, wine took 1 hr., and while the steaks were good, sides, salads and dessert were just mediocre. Unless you want to be in full party mode, skip the weekends outdoors.
Friends from Austin recommended this as must go steakhouse. Yep! Love steak? This is the place. Really the finest meat and variety of menu. Wonderful scenic atmosphere. Treat yourself!
Well with the trip. Food was to perfection. Will return!
Fabulous steaks. You must try the Lobster Mac and Cheese.
Our waiter, James, was excellent. One of the steaks was overdone but they got another one out right away that was perfect. James suggested a new wine and it was amazing.
We enjoyed the food and restaurant. Waiter was great!
The food was great, but we were there for 3 hours, half of that waiting for our server. It was a Saturday night, but our reservation was for 6 pm.
The kitchen seemed responsible for our long wait. There were 3 of us, and all of our steaks were mixed up and were on the wrong plates. (we had to send a well done filet back, because it should have been med rare!). We waited a long time for our cocktails and at least a 30 min wait for our 2nd, after we ordered it. The manager came by our table, apologized for the steak mixup. Our server said the manager offered a complimentary dessert. Turned out it was one dessert for the three of us. Really?? That was the apology???
They should have comped a steak!
We’ve enjoyed Steiner for years, however it’s changed from an elegant steakhouse to a casual restaurant. The food quality we’d always come to depend on was definitely not there, both the ingredients and the cooking. We were very disappointed.
Excellent food, service and venue
I am from out of town. I had never eaten at Steiner Steakhouse until almost a week ago. Everything was made so easy to reserve a table and to how we were welcomed when we arrived. From the time we walked through the front door until the time we left everyone made us feel like we were in our neighborhood.
Our server was Katy. She was super pleasant, smiling, upbeat and made great recommendations for drink and food! The food was great, but Katy's service was beyond EXCELLENCE! The entire staff was pleasant and seemed to be always smiling. It was like eating at one of my neighborhood places. I will always come back.
Thank you for a wonderful time and eating experience!
Wonderful service and fantastic food!
Very pleasant!!Thank you!
Kendall was our server. He was great. A bit disappointed with the food. It was not fresh when we went through. It seemed it had been sitting out for a while. Bagels were listed on your website. There were none. Roast beef was tough or over cooked. The fish was dried out.
