Food was really good. With the online order, we got everything not in order.
Love steel and rye. The food is always good and the atmosphere is amazing. Food from different stations does come out as it is ready… ie we had some who ordered entrees and others that ordered pizza as an entree and pizza came out way earlier but we didn’t mind at all! Great drinks and great service
Lunch on the patio with our family dog after a long morning hike. Everything was great, delicious and the staff friendly and cheerful. Only comment would be no oysters or wood fired pizza till after 4pm. Will return for sure!
Food and atmosphere terrific. A bit noisy for old folks. Fun, friendly atmosphere!
It was my first time there. It was extremely hot, not sure why they didn’t have the ac on. That was my biggest complaint, it was hard to enjoy myself. The food all came out at different times which is never professional. The high ceilings make it very loud but the decor was nice. Food was decent... best thing was the chilled pea soup. Will come back to try other things, overall not super impressed and it was expensive considering the fact that there was 4 of us and we shared a bunch of things and only ordered 1 entree. Wanted to eat in the bathroom because it was the only cool place there!
Due to covid, they need to use the app to place order. Tip needs to be added before the food arrived. This is totally not making sense! Aside from delivering the food, server did nothing else!
Our favorite neighborhood spot! The bar service is incredible!
Cool little spot. Drinks were delicious, appetizers were good. Staff was super friendly. Will definitely go back.
great food and atmosphere and very friendly servers
Really cool space. Their food and beverage menu is all quality - the only thing I didn’t love was that they change ingredients on dishes often. I the gnocchi previously, but they added peas this time. It was a bit odd considering I absolutely loved the dish before.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent!! We dined at Steel and Rye 2 weeks ago and liked it so much that we decided to eat there again.
Both times we had brunch.
The customer service was good. The waiter recommended the meatball appetizers. I ordered it thinking it would take about 10 minutes to come out as I was waiting on a friend who was running 10 mins late. It came out within 3 minutes although I confirmed the time before I placed the order. I guess they just microwave it. The menu is very small. I understand this at this point, but they should rush and increase the options now that Covid rules been relaxed. They did not rush us, and I appreciated that.
As always, everything was perfect!
They were using some new technology where the guest orders and pays at the table with you credit card; I didn't really care for that. When I checked my bank statement, I noticed that I was charged twice; I called and someone name Devin stated that the money should be back in my account "tomorrow". She also stated that the software "pre authorises" the amount of the order which was $71.00, almost like a deposit. I have never, ever heard if anything remotely close to this nonsense. I'll never eat there again👎🏽👎🏽
Steel and Rye has done a great job of staying open during the pandemic and making meals to go. The popularity of their 'to go' pizzas - means the 'in house' diner has a 45 minute wait for one on a Friday night - but forwarded we ordered something else.. Their food is innovative though I'd like to see a couple of seafood or vegetarian specials in addition to the menu.
It was a JOYOUS evening. People were out; lots of air circulation. Obviously everyone was excited to be out to a favorite local restaurant. Our primary server was great and covering many tables. Food was great. Shared apps, pizza and fabulous strawberry cake.
Great spot for dinner. Chance to sit inside or out. Really liked the casear salad and meatballs. Friendly and attentive service
My dish had no flavor. Lemon spaghetti no lemon. Flavorless. Wait staff was slow and mixed up. That was fine given the staffing issues everywhere. But food was awful
It was a disappointment— I know there are changes for COVID. BUT why do you have to tip before you are served & the menu is AWFUL FOR VEGETARIANS who don’t want pizza. When did restaurants stop serving fries with burgers??
Excellent all around! Gnocchi was fantastic & they have a great drink/wine selection.
Food was just so-so but the prices were too high. Nobody's food was even close to great.
Love this bar
food was yummy and our server Zeik was very nice and helpful
Check back on table more .. wanted so order more drinks but was turned off because sever never came back . Had other service come back but not my main server that started off .. but besides that food was great and very clean place
One of the best restaurants on the South Shore. On a par with our favorites in Boston
We made reservations but sat at the partitioned bar. Great food and drink. Derrick our bartender was great. Menu is even better than pre-COVID! Best of all, my wife and I felt safe. Get back out there. Being vaccinated, we will.
This place is always terrific. Wonderful food, people, service and atmosphere.
Amazing pastries contributed to an amazing brunch for Mother's Day! The waffles were soft and fluffy and the tart compote was a perfect compliment. Savory dishes were excellent too.
Love this restaurant . Covid has limited the menu. Need to go back to the old menu
Excellent service, gorgeous atmosphere, very clean. Food and drinks were amazing.
Smaller menu , not much variety. Beautiful restaurant. Food was just kinda meh.
The cocktails are superb
I’ve been obsessed with the Cesar salad snd their sausage pizza which is even better the following day.
The seeded sourdough is superb one had to buy the entire loaf however Wish it was available by the slice - very happy to pay for it just don’t want the whole loaf temptation . I continue to love the space and ambiance the menu could use some happy fresh changes. Please please bring back the roasted cauliflower you had years ago that my friends and family still dream about.
Great food, great service, consistent- great menu- great drinks!
Solid food, somewhat limited menu, servers kinda split up the work so hard to feel connected to one, but good service.
My experience with steel & rye was top notch the service was amazing so was the food & drinks , Definitely will come back again
Always great- we love the team! Drinks and menu options make us continuously go back after Saturday activities
Really nice meal!!! We were a group
of eight. We were seated at two tables next to each other. Wait staff was really friendly and informative. Food was tasty and the drinks were perfect!
I will for sure go back!
Everything would have been perfect if we had a waiter or waitress to take our orders. Using the order by app was confusing for some of us and the some of us who were most confused didn't notice the area where you could add instructions.
Food was delicious but hated the app.
