PLEASE NOTE: FOR WEEKDAY LUNCH RESERVATIONS, STEEL & RYE OFFERS COUNTER SERVICE FROM OUR BAKERY BETWEEN 7:00 A.M. AND 4:00PM (Mondays until 2:30pm).

All reservations after 4pm for Dinner will be provided full table service and are for inside tables only. Outside parking lot tables are currently first come, first served and orders may be placed via QR code.

    This year we’ve made some big changes at Steel & Rye! Our former private dining area is now home to our new bakery kitchen. We have loved hosting private events in the past, however no longer have a private space to offer. At this time, we are pleased to offer regular dining reservations for groups of up to 18 guests. Please call our main line at 617-690-2787 and speak with one of our managers or email us at contact@steelandrye.com to make a reservation for parties between 12-18 guests.

    First time visit. Cool atmosphere, great drinks, and food very good. We’ll definitely go back.

    We were seated in the kids’ section; so, it was quite noisy. It was hard to carry on a conversation. The kids were just being kids, most of them were good and just 5 of them were running around. The families started leaving around 6:30 and were mostly gone by 7; so, it was easier to talk. The food was good and staff was friendly.

    As always the food and service were terrific. We're lucky to be close by and visit often! Great place!

    Our family goes to Steel and Rye for celebrations big and small. The staff could not have been more welcoming or attentive to our party of 9, including two toddlers. The foot, as usual, was great. We are so lucky to have Steel and Rye so close to home. Thank you for making Easter, 2025 special for us!

    Poor presentation, flavor and price point. On a positive note our waitstaff was great.

    Ordered a hamburger but it was undercooked. It took forever to get our drinks. We asked for more water and the waitress made a comment like I’m getting pulled in too many directions right now. Not what I would expect for a $420 bill

    I go here often for my morning latte. Great food, good for families or a date ! Service is always great.
