food was below average. my burger was tasteless. yam fries were good. steelhead entree was overpriced. server was awesome. loud and noisy and busy if thats what you want

You can't go wrong at Steamworks..have eaten here on more than one occasion and it's consistently great. Lots of menu choices, great food, great service and you can't beat the location.

Steamworks offers the standard pub food with great ambiance and beer menu. We had reservations and got a lovely view of the North Shore before dusk. The place was busy with cozy bar scene buzz. Of course my date tried a brew but recommend asking your server as the special brews will sell out. We enjoyed our house brew burger and salad. The apple caramel apple pie with ice cream blew us away- excellent value for $8! If you check out their washrooms, you’ll discover that the place is like an underground labyrinth - definitely will return if we’re back in Gastown area.

My girlfriend and I had our first date here and we enjoy going back from time to time trying out something new we had seen another couple eating the previous visit. Makes for a good time tryingn a new food and remembering the last one

Have been wanting to go here for years and it was worth the wait. Managed to get a 5pm reservation for a Saturday night. Drinks were great, dinner was great, service was great, view was great - a really enjoyable experience.
Hubby had the GF pizza crust and said it was the best he's had yet.
Hope to get back again soon!

In town on a stopover and found this place close to my hotel. What a great surprise. The beer, food and service were all outstanding. I will be sure to come back when I am back I. Vancouver.

We have been to Steamworks a number of times and always enjoy the menu and selection of beers/drinks/wine.

Really good beer choices and the best chili north of the Border

Very slow service and stood around talking to other idle servers most of the time

This was my third time eating here and my girlfriends first. I have always come here for the great food and atmosphere and it has not disappointed me yet! It’s a great location since there is parking everywhere. It Is next to waterfront station for those who transit.

Attentive staff. Great view from the patio. Try the Thai pizza, amazing!

So great to be able to make a reservation & our table had a view which was sweet.
I would’nt say food is the greatest, burgers were a bit bland, pizza on greasy side, dessert wasn’t great, but overall our table was happy.

Excellent selection of local craft biers. You can get a taster from 4 to 10 types of bier.
The sea food chowder was superb.
The main menu also had great selections but we had appetizers great variety!

We had an amazing view of the mountains from our table! The food was delicious and a wide variety on the menu as we had some vegetarians in our group.

We had burgers. THey were so dry you could hardly eat them. Would definitely not go back. Was so disappointed after reading the reviews. We were in Vancouver for 3 days and could have eaten somewhere that was so much better.

Felt for making a reservation in advance we had a pretty bad table. Was very noisy in the restaurant. Service was slow . It was just ok. Don't think I'd rush back too soon.

We always look for brew pubs when we are traveling. This one was not outstanding, but it wasn't disappointing either. Would probably go back if we had the chance.

Our night was amazing . You have the ability through the app to share what your celebrating. But no acknowledgement of that until we asked our server (waitress)about what options for one celebrating their birthday. The waitress was dis interested in us from the moment we sat down. All after she took our drink orders and app order. She was like food order now.. we were enjoying time with friends from toyko we wanted to take our time and chat which felt a little rush. But food and drinks were great.

Awesome place. Need reservation, very busy. The filet mignon is to die for!

Went prior to Canada's 150 fireworks, fast service and good food, just right to set up for the event.

Friendly fun service, great for beer and burgers. Take a pass on the lobster ravioli - a few bits of limp lobster floating in a sea of too much rich cream sauce, although the ravioli and bits of prosciutto were okay when relieved of some of the dressing.

Awesome food and great cocktails! Totally recommended.

I went for the ten-tap sampler ($21.99), but it turns out they have a policy of not selling this to one person. But my server was willing to work around this rule by bringing out one four-tap sampler ($8.49 each) at a time. (They didn't have the summer ale nor Commonwealth ale at the time.) I enjoyed trying out each of the quarter-pint glasses of different brews while reading the beer notes on the menu to understand what kind of malts and hops go into each one. I'm grateful that my server knew how to maximize my tasting experience despite some odd company rules. (I am not driving in Vancouver, so it seems like a weird rule.)

Great restaurant and brewery. Lots of choice for food & beer. Enjoyed it very much
