We have been coming to Steamers for years - it's been hit & miss but this last meal was the worst. I had the Pasta Special - spicy marinara, with prawns & pancetta. The pancetta wasn't cooked to crispy it was rubbery. My husband had a very simple caesar salad with NY Strip med. rare. It arrived after everyone else had been served and the meat was well done. They redid it, which took 10 minutes. We then had coffee - no dessert. My regular coffee was luke warm. The total bill was $163.00 including 2 beers/one glass of wine & a martini. Food = 1 point. Service was good, but you don't go out to eat for the service. . If you're wondering why I didn't return my food is because my mother would have been really sad that we didn't enjoy our meal & didn't want to distress her further by returning 2 dinners! VERY disappointing!

Steamer's is always a reliable place, albeit somewhat expensive. Service is always great, food consistently good, noise level (at least at noon, we went for lunch) allows for pleasant conversation.

I ate Sunday Brunch in the bar. Kelly was my waitress. The raspberry champagne cocktail was OK. The clam Chowder was the best in the west. How can you miss with a glass of La Crema chardonnay. I ate the omelet with tomatoes and spinach and mushrooms with a side of bacon. The bartender offered to sit with me and help with the bacon. Ha ha. Finished with an affogato. Chatted with Trish and Ray who were sitting next to me. Kidded with the servers, Todd and Linda and Sarah. Starting the week with a splash.

Food and service are good, not great. Restaurant needs updating. A bit overpriced.

We visit the restaurant several times a year and it always meets or excedes our expectations. The Steamers linguini was terrific and my spouses steak was delicious. Our waiter did an outstanding job and was very attentive.

Very well prepared seafood dishes for our party. Some of us ordered from the daily special menu and were very pleased with flavors and quality. I trusted our server for a wine recommendation and it was spot on!
