Nothing special about the food, everything was bland, except for the truffle Mac and cheese which had way too much truffle oil. Service was good, attentive but again nothing notable or special especially when you factor in the prices.
Overpriced and noisy. Our waiter, Don, was great but couldn't make up for the noise level in the restaurant. To be fair, there were some very noisy diners but the restaurant design appeared to augment the noise rather than absorb it. Food was ok but very expensive. There are nicer options elsewhere in the city at a much better value
The Steakhouse at the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs is simply the best filet in the greater Palm Springs area. We dine out weekly and are always in search of a great filet. There's several places close but no one has managed to excel at the filet like theSteakhouse! I judge my filets by their thickness to start with. The thicker it is the harder to cook but the better the taste. These guys nail it every time!
Everything wss good except the lobster. It didn't seem to have been fresh our it was overcooked. It was rubbery to eat. Steaks, wine, service were all excellent & we would go again but not for seafood.
This place was AMAZING!!! I enjoyed the cocktails and the Filet Mignon!!! My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. Don was our waiter and was absolutely wonderful! He is the epitome of what great service is! His energy was upbeat and welcoming. I felt as if I were dining at his home. He knew the menu and selections and provided great service!!!! The food was great! I can't wait to visit again!♥
Excellent dinner with good friends. We'll do it again!😜 Really nice ambiance.
Excellent service, delicious meal. The Happy Hour specials can't be beat!
We had a delicious dinner and our waiter was outstanding! The booth was quiet and private.
Only complaint was I'd indicated an anniversary and it wasn't acknowledged😞
This is our 2nd time we have been here. The last time was not nearly as pleasant as this time. Our server was very attentive and kind. Our food was delicious and fresh. We enjoyed the evening very much and will return when we are in the Palm Springs area.
This was our second time coming here to celebrate our anniversary and we will definitely come back next year! The food is amazingly delicious. The service is great, plus the restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion
Love the lobster bisque and all around great menu.
The fresh oysters were great, easily the best part of our meal. Chilean sea bass was also very tasty. The prime rib was a little chewy, but otherwise decent.
Good service but just ok food.
Everything was so tasty with great service.
From the oysters to the seasonal melon and prosciutto salad with fresh figs and the steak with sea scallops we loved it all. Great place to take minute and relax over a cocktail. Just the best!
Ordered a new York steak and it was AMAZING! It is a bit pricey but it was definitely worth it. Great for a nice romantic date night. Service was great!
Came here for our anniversary and they definitely made the occasion special. The food was spectacular.
Everything was great, especially the excellent server!
My dry age steak was not cooked rare and not medium as ordered,it was harder to cut than a choice steak from a subpar grocery store. I also finished off my girl friends steak and smelled a hint of fish from one of the items on her plate, we hate the smell and taste of fish. I spent $120, I would like the waitress to keep her tip but a refund is in order. A yelp and google will follow if my demands are not met. If you want to know what a proper steak house tastes like, I would suggest sending your chef to the steak house at The agua casino in rancho mirage.
Delicious meal. My husband and I took my eighty eighty year old dad out for dinner. We all had the early bird special. For $32.00 we each had Caesar salad, 5 oz. filet mignon (cooked to perfection), mashed potatoes and vegies. Just the right amount of food. We splurged and had the apple pie for dessert. Great deal.
Food was great!
We've been here before and the food was perfect. This time the fillet was closer to medium than med rate one on side. While it is far from moderately priced, the food has been exceptional in the past. We'll be back again, but not for a while.
The Spa Casino has the best filet I've had in Palm Springs. Excellent food and the service was outstanding!
Unexpected surprise. Impeccable service. Quiet atmosphere. I had the surf and turf and the stead was divine. Started with the lobster bisque and it was a lovely treat. Don't be put off because it's in the casino.
We dined at The Steakhouse off of a friend's referral. I was a little nervous that it was in a casino for whatever reason but in the end I took a chance. I was immediately pleased with the atmosphere, our server Ken stopped by rapidly and his service was spot on through the entire meal. The starters, steaks as well as the cocktails and desert were all amazing. We left very satisfied and pleased with our decision. The clientele is casino clientele if that matters (some were loud others a little overly casual) but it still was a hit and I would go back again and would recommend it as well.
Ask for server Ken and Terry the bartender was awesome as well.
Arrived early but was seated right away. Lighting is very dim so was regretting forgetting to bring my glasses for reading the menu, but voila ... lighted menus. A brilliant surprise. My husband and I were craving a good prime rib, the main reason we booked this restaurant, so we ordered salads and the queen cut smaller portion of prime rib, medium rare. It arrived looking a bit more 'rare' than 'medium rare' but appetizing. My first cut was like cutting butter however my husband could not get his to cut at all, no matter how much pressure on the knife. We called our waiter back and explained the issue. He promptly took the plate back and in a very short time a new portion was delivered, this one much more tender than the previous. The rarest center part of my prime rib was a bit tough and chewy so I left it but since the portion was generous I was full anyway. To my surprise Whalen the bill arrived, it showed that we were being charged for the King cut larger portion rather than the queen cut. Since we had already eaten it I felt there was no use to point this out to the waiter. In the future I will make sure to confirm the order with the waiter/waitress. I will also change my order to medium as their cooking scale seems to skew a bit more rare than normal.
Food was incredible, our server very professional, but not a great Cabernet wine selection and really pricey. Busboys need to learn not to remove dinner plates until all parties are finished eating.
Great as usual. Steaks were great. Service very nice as usual.
Was down in Palm Springs on vacation and decided to try the steakhouse at the casino. I was very pleasantly surprised about the entire experience. The food and service were both great. What was also cool is when you get the menu it has a backlight so you can see the menu and do not have to pull out your cell phone to use the flashlight.
The food was first rate, ambience is great and most of all the service was prompt and professional we were made to feel at home and all our needs were pre-handled. I would recommend the Steakhouse to anyone who wants a fantastic meal and high quality service
Go here a couple times a year and the service and food are consistently wonderful. Have gone with the family and for a date night and it suits the occasion.
Quiet; good for late night dining. Fabulous French fries. Expensive like most traditional steak joints.
We've been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The service is amazing and the food has always been great.
We enjoyed the delicious dinner. The service was fantastic. We also enjoyed happy hour at the bar prior to dinner
We chose this restaurant because we frequent The Steakhouse at Agua Caliente casino and the menu seemed to be very similar so we thought we would give it a try.....that was a mistake. Our server not only forgot our drinks but forgot one our dishes I cannot even tell you his name because he did not make an impression on us at all just left a bitter taste in our mouths. The food was mediocre at best, Agua does a way better job at service, presentation, and taste. Management is the complete opposite here, you NEVER see them whereas at the Rancho Mirage location they come up and check on your table nightly. It was just a bust and a shame. I will not be coming to this location again.
I have not been to the Steakhouse Palm Springs for a few years. We have been going to Rancho Mirage and the management, staff and even the guests were always fantastic. The only reason we went to PS was RM was fully committed for the evening.
Our experience was the worst for any restaurant. It started off good. The server was not properly trained, maybe it was his first night alone. We ordered a $100 bottle of wine and he really did not know how to present it nor pour it that should have been our first clue of how the evening was going to go. I ordered prime rib my date ordered the sea bass. The appetizers came out. I had the ahi which was warm and the wanton were burned. His lobster bisque was fantastic. Before we finished the entree came out. You can tell it was miss fired. Both meals came out cold. Not warm but cold. My date sent back the sea bass. The waiter rolled his eyes when he took it back. Within two minutes it came back. It was microwaved. Seriously a $45 entree was
Microwave. He asked for the manger who came over. He acted like he couldn't be bothered. 5 minutes later a new fish came out. No apology. No one ever came back to the table except for the waiter to pick up a wine glass. Never offered another glass. Then the ultimate. The check was dropped without asking if we wanted desert. I spend $350 for two. I would not recommend this restaurant and the only reason I haven't called is the manger could care less to start with. I will never be back and I can tell you everyone will hear about out experience. I have never written a review like this and by the way I am a black card holder and didn't even ask for a comp. we will not be back to the Spa.
We ordered from the early bird menu. Steak looked smaller than promised. Soup was very bland and barely warm. Mentioned it to 2 servers before they replaced it with salad. Booths a little small for 4 people.
Always an A+
Filet was spectacular
Service was equal
Ken, our server was outstanding, and the food was exceptional! We ordered an '05 Meritage, and it too was exceptional. Highly recommend!!!
