Took a friend here for a birthday dinner and wow. I clicked the button on my reservation that it was for a birthday. They all wished him happy birthday when we checked in and got to the table, had a card and a desert that said happy birthday. The food wine and wine were great. Really good petit filet with bordelaise. Prime rib was good with the horseradish sour cream sauce. The sweet creamed corn was well done as was the au gratin potatoes. Didn’t care too much for the white truffle mac and cheese. The key lime pie dessert was AMAZING - meringue topping and graham cracker crust. It’s pricey but great food, attention and service. You don’t hear or smell the casino (smoke) at all.
Wonderful steaks and surroundings
Ken was our waiter and he was excellent.. He took care of us really well as the helpers. We has a very good experience and will eat there when we return again.
my wife had the sea food special, was not that tasty and the lobster was under cooked and the clam chowder was watery and bland
We had the special before 6 pm. Excellent ...s service was spot on and had a very nice meal
Smoke from Casino was not wonderful
Amazing place to dine. Loved the lobster bisque, one of the best I’ve ever had! Enjoyed a loaded baked potato and their yummy bread and was stuffed at that point so skipped an entree. Would love to go back and stick to an entree only so I can experience their seafood . The atmosphere was fabulous and would be perfect for a date or special occasion . My only complaint would be $98 for crab legs is very high. Other than that I was very happy and would go back.
We ordered the 10 oz filet. It had no flavor. We ordered it medium rare it came out medium well. The waiter was nice enough to send it back to the kitchen and it came out medium rare the 2nd time but still lacked any flavor. After that the waiter was non existent. When he finally came around we ordered desert and I believe he forgot the creme brûlée. It was 20 minutes before he came over and we reminded him. When the creme brûlée came out it was more like a very liquid pudding. It was alright. I’ve had better.
This was a very disappointing meal. We have been here a couple of times recently and it was very good so we decided to bring a friend for a birthday dinner. My husband's New York steak had so much fat and gristle that he was only able to eat about half of it. The creamed corn, which had previously been my favorite side, had a strange flavor and consistency as if it had some kind of cheese in it. I asked the server if they had changed the preparation and she said that they hadn't but it was terrible. The service was very good for the most part although when she brought the dessert cart she didn't mention that they had additional desserts like the bananas foster. I only knew because I'd had it before. It was the best part of the meal. Maybe I wouldn't be as critical if weren't for the fact that this is one of the most expensive restaurants in Palm Springs - almost $300 for 3 of us with no alcohol. For that price we could have gone to Mastro's and had a much better meal. We won't return anytime soon.
Romantic dinner with wife.
Biggest complaint is that smoke form adjacent gambling floor sweeps into the restaurant. Considering t prices, the food was very average, the side potato dish overcooked, steaks undercooked (easily remedied, but it took some time to get the waiter's attention, so others finished their meal while others were still dining). The decor doesn't reflect the desert at all, just a bland casino or airport type design.
Always love it and consistently the same which makes a huge difference. Servers Nestor and Ken are the finest...
They make it a wonderful dining experience
We were in Palm Springs to celebrate our anniversary.
Read reviews for different steakhouses and this one came up well.
The attention and atmosphere was great except we were beside a group of rowdy men so the noice level was high. My husband and I both ordered a petite filet medium rare. The meal was wonderful including this flavor of the meat. The problem was mine was tough.
I am used to tender filets, which is why I order filet.
I did not send it back, I ate half and my husband finished mine.
Otherwise, the experience was very nice.
For some reason we this is the worst steak I have had in CA. We had a New York and a Porterhouse and it both tasted like road kill
Service and food were both impeccable
Always love the Steakhouse. The food is excellent and the service always makes the visit special!
Great food and service. Their special for the night was the best meal I’ve had in awhile.
It was a lovely evening visiting with an old friend. The food as always is the best. Service was exceptional and we were allowed to sit and relax and enjoy your dinner.
Excellent food. Pricey but the food was exceptionally good and there was more than enough. Servings were just right. Our waiter was fantastic.
We really love this restaurant when were in town. However it seemed the quality of the meats went down. We went to LGs the next night. I used to say the meat was the same quality at both but the ribeye at the Spa steakhouse is now thin and the sea bass the same way. We had an incredible quality filet and ribeye and sea bass at LGs for the same prices. What happened??
When I reserved for New Years Eve the small print stated the regular menu would not be available. It was a set menu at $100/person. I wasn’t crazy about this but decided I could live with it. When we arrived and opened the menu, the set menu was priced at $135/person, a 35% increase. This was dishonest, lacked integrity, exploitive and offensive to me. We won’t ever be back again due to this. Meal wasn’t worth $75 let alone $135.
Our anniversary dinner, on New Year's Eve. My wife's steak was tough as leather. The manager said there was no recourse other than waiting for a new steak to be cooked. My wife did not want another steak. No compensation, no drinks etc. We have eaten here before and the dinner was great.
worse experience ever at a palm springs restaurant. Got sat at a table by the kitchen where and I counted
during our meal 353 time waiters walked by our table. Oh and we were about 10 feet from the rest rooms.
even though the place was almost empty when we arrived I guess we didn't look good enough to sit out front when we left there were still empty tables in the main dining room. Ill will stick to Flemings or the steakhouse at Aqua be never again at the Spa.
We had a delicious meal during the holiday season. Our steak was juicy and flavorful. Could almost cut it with the fork. The drinks actually had alcohol in them, and were very good. The ambiance was wonderful and our servers were polite and very attentive. We had a very nice evening dining at The Steakhouse. Thank you very much.
I really enjoy eating here. The food is great. Our waiter Ken was amazing. Will be eating here again soon.
Great restaurant with excellent service. Steaks could not be better prepared.
Great Service and Great Food
The hostess was pretty rude. We arrived a little early 15 minutes, and she refused to seat us saying no tables we available. She stated would have to wait for or our reservation time. We took seats at the bar. Three tables to the right in that area were never used and I noticed on my way to the restroom that several in the main section were still open as well, this was about 35 minutes after we were seated. The bartenders were amazing, Terri and Brooke. Dinner was delicious. When you put more effort into accommodating your guest, it goes father.
Good food Yorkshire pudding was cold
Good food, better service - but a crappy interior. Seriously, looks like an updated Dennys. The dining rooms are divided awkwardly - everywhere you look it looks like an access hallway. No flow, design or steakhouse feel considering the name. Food and service were great though. I just wouldn't come back because it doesn't feel like special place.
We were treated nice at the front desk and were escorted to our table, and everything was fine, until we met our waiter, Jose. Very unpleasant personality. I can only tell what I experience and felt. He didn't care for being nice, all I can tell that he was calculating how much gratuity he will get from us based on our orders. Very unsettling filling. The prices are very high, but nothing special, but we knew that when we reserved the spot. When my husband order just a soup, I thought Jose would loose it.
The bottom line is, the food was good, but nothing extra special, over priced and ambiance was good, but we had better.
The Flintstone Steak was perfect! Everything was delicious and our server, Nestor, is always a delight!!!
Excellent food, attentive service and a very comfortable environment. The steakhouse is our new “find” in Palm Springs
This steakhouse gets very high ratings on the internet, but it must be from the convenience of being inside of a casino. I've been to other "prime" steak houses. The steaks should be the stars. This steakhouse charges top dollar for steak that would not make most people's top 7.
Everyone was exceptionally nice and pleasant I really enjoyed my experience here also my mother had a fabulous time they made her feel special for her birthday thank you for that Ken
Food was good as always, kenny is a fun and experienced waiter, really enjoyed
I took my wife for her birthday dinner. We were greeted at the door with a happy birthday and when we were seated a birthday card signed by the staff was on the table. This was unexpected but made the evening that more special. The service was incredible and the food was amazing! I have eaten here before and the service and food are always top notch. We will be back for another special occasion and I’m sure it will be another night to remember!
My wife and I just ended a long vacation with a fabulous dinner here. Nestor was our waiter and was the best! Great food! Great banter. Lots of fun!!!
Birthday - always a great experience.
Went there for Thanksgiving dinner and it was perfect!
Overall, the food was very good and our server, Ken, was top notch. But there is equally good food available elsewhere in Palm Springs for less money.
