Steakhouse 85 Ratings and Reviews
Our waiter was not very friendly. We ordered medium for one of the steaks but it came to our table well done. Our waiter never came back to check on us, so we ate it only because we were hungry and had to get to a show. When he brought us our check, he asked if everything was okay. I told him about the steak and he didn't say or do anything about it.
The service was great, everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The food was amazing. The bacon appetizer was great. Wife got the stuffed pork chop which was huge and cooked perfectly. The tomahawk steak was amazing as well. All in all the entire dinner was great. Can’t wait to go back again.
went there before a show, so we were in a little rush however the service was excellent. not rushed and we got out in plenty of time. we didnt have time to look at dessert but from what i saw at other tables they looked excellent.
the food we did have was also excellent. we had the filet and lobster tail. both were great.
as sides we had the lobster risotto, which was also excellent as was the sauteed spinach.
We had never been to Steakhouse 85 before, but had heard good things. It was our wedding anniversary, so we decided to try it. We loved most things about it — beautiful decor, excellent service, and the food. I would say the only two things we didn’t like were the lack of prime rib on the menu and the sweet potato casserole we ordered wasn’t as good as the very excellent salad, steaks, bread, and dessert we enjoyed. We will be back for another special occasion.
The Mac and cheese was very bland and the calamari was rubbery. I would only recommend that you get the steaks and no sides. They do steaks very well but everything else was below sub-par. The waiter was wonderful! The food is over priced. This isn't a fancy restaurant...It's a regular restaurant that is pretending to be fancy. They have a wonderful atmosphere and the service is top notch. Wonderful drink selection.
Everything was wonderful! The service really places Steakhouse 85 at a 5-star experience. The menu is creative and allows for special tailored service to meet your needs. This is my restaurant for special occasions and business dinners. The experience is truly special.
The fillet mignon's were fantastic. The mini scallops amazing. The whole experience was very nice. As the evening progressed the crowd grew larger. Nice bar and well managed. Will return with more time since we were in rush to catch a show at the State Theater.
Highest quality food. The Delmonico was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Seafood very fresh. Good selection overall. Live music was a nice added feature. I would definitely return.
Only area they might improve upon is desserts. They were OK, but not nearly as spectacular as the appetizers & main course. Dessert portions a bit small, a bit dry (brownie), and not what I expected (bananas foster served in a parfait glass ?)
First time to the restaurant - near the State Theater. A go-to place for the pre-theater crowd. Pleasantly surprised with the food and wine selection, all recommendations of our waiter but he took too long-for his return with our drinks and then didn't bring the leftovers in a timely manner. He was amiable. The food was very good-steak was excellent. The family style sides were great.
We went for our anniversary. My husband had the mussels special (delicious!) and I had lobster bisque to start (a little bland). I ordered the petite filet mignon au poivre (perfectly cooked) and my husband got the crab cakes which he also enjoyed. We got the lobster risotto and mushrooms for sides- large enough for 2 people with hefty portions. The bartender also made a great mocktail for me since I'm pregnant. Great experience! We'll be back!
I celebrated my birthday at Steakhouse 85 with my dad and fiancée. We were all very impressed with the entire experience. The hostess was genuinely happy to be working there and the waitstaff was excellent at refilling water and checking up on us. We especially enjoyed the explanation of the different cuts available at Steakhouse 85. All that on top of an excellent atmosphere (perhaps a bit noisy) and even better food. I will definitely be coming back to this fabulous restaurant.
Food and service were good as usual. Beet and goat cheese salad was good. Seafood tower was good, not exceptional. Mussells were tough and shrimp were overcooked. Crab, oysters and clams were tasty. Banana split for dessert was spot on. Wine from short list is a good value.
Overall, we had a lovely dinner. We were celebrating my promotion and us moving in together and they seated us in a very special romantic table for two.
I hadn't been here in several years. I loved that the menus lit up when you opened them!
I had the stuffed pork chop - it was good but lacked a little seasoning. The broccoli was not very hot when it came out so it got cold quickly.
My boyfriends steak was delicious.
Our waiter was very informative and attentive. He did a nice job explaining and assisting us with our menu selections.
I had a $100 gift card which is one of the reasons we went there - its expensive so I don't think we will be back unless its another special occasion and/or we have another gift card.
Had a reservation for 8 and was seated immediately. Owner (Matty) introduced himself, we spoke for a minute, nice guy. Servrr was Erica, very good, attentive and knowledgeable. Food was phenomenal. Wife had the porterhouse and I had the tomahawk, cooked perfect. This was a date night for my wife and I and you know I'll be back.
