Amazing pop overs to start and then the best steak we have ever had! Very knowledgeable about the wine also and a great recommendation! Wish we could eat here more often!
Service was poor, filet mignon was dry, very disappointing
The Wagyu Ribeye cap steak was out of this world and I would eat it again! The sides and lobster bisque were good but nothing I would write home about. The fresh bread they deliver is amazing, I just wish they brought more lol.
The service was subpar at best! We had a random server be more enthusiastic and helpful then our own server. We didn’t get greeted at our table for almost 10 minutes and was just a very vanilla experience. Also stood in the lobby for almost 5 minutes having been greeted and spoken with serval employees and then a random emboldened employee decided I needed a mask now, come on guys it’s been a year pick a new cause covid is over.
Overall this is one of the nicest places to eat at it’s beautiful inside the jellyfish tank is beautiful the outside seating is perfect and relaxed it’s a very nice place to eat dinner however the food was just ok. We had a wedge salad crabcakes rack of lamb filet mignon asparagus and baked potato the crabcakes were the best things that we ate 10/10 for sure. The baked potato was barely warm and the asparagus was room temperature. The filet mignon was very good with a good crust and flavor but the rack of lamb was just average. For a $250 dinner it should be lights out perfect and I think 3 stars is a fair score, it was a bit average not great
Went here for Mother's Day and it was a big mistake! We were sat inside where there was a hug party. The child in the party was literally screaming at the top of his lungs on and off during the beginning of our breakfast. Then they began to bang on the plates with the utensils. Now, I know this is not the restaurant's fault but someone could have went over.
We were seated at promptly 10:30. We did not get drinks until 10:50. At 11:25 I got up and asked for the check as our food still had not come out. The food came out immediately after, but was cold. I am not sure what happened, but at this time the entire inside of the restaurant was empty other than a party of 10 and another table of 4- and we were all complaining. I would like to point out that our waiter was really trying but it was a MESS.
We've been to other restaurants on Las Olas such as Takato, on a Friday night, where there wasn't even room to STAND at the bar, and NEVER have we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks and an hour for food. This was inexcusable! Especially on Mother's Day.
The real shame is that the food, even cold, was actually good!
Needless to say, we will not be returning to Steak 954. Too many other options in the area for mediocracy.
Everything was almost perfect! We had reservations for 930pm and got there at 9pm. We were seated right away. It was busy, but many empty tables. Very loud. The outside dining area was closed because it had rained, but we got a seat next to the window. It was very dark at our table. The waiter actually carried a flashlight so that we could see our food. As fancy as the food was, it would have been nice to see it better. I was worried that I was underdressed, but looking around, there were people dressed really fancy (Suits/Dresses) and others in t-shirts and shorts. We ordered the scallops, which there were only 2 (1 was big and the other was small). They tasted amazing, just wish there were more to enjoy. We each got steak, mine was the wagyu with lobster. They were cooked perfectly (med rare). My only complaint was the asparagus. It was huge and tasted so bitter that I was unable to eat it. The bacon mac and cheese was great. On our reservation, I had put that we were there for our 10th anniversary. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought out a cupcake to us with a candle. It was a simple gesture, but it meant a lot to us to be thought of like that! We spent $300 for the meal and don't regret any of it! We will for sure visit again when we come back for our next vacation! Thank you for making our anniversary so special!
the service was outstanding, the steak was delish.
The staff made our anniversary feel like we were worth a million bucks! We had a quiet table in the corner to ourselves and the server was phenomenal. Food- perfect- wine selection- outstanding. We will be back!!
It was so Nice to eat a meal in a State that believes in Freedom, not Government power.
The service was great. The Steal was great. My wife had the lobster with pasta, She loved it.
We went for brunch, service was unusually slow.
Everything was perfect! Will recommend to family and friends.
Greeted upon arrival. Arrived to reservation early, was seated immediately. East coast oysters were exquisite & Dinner entree out of this world. Will return
Great food and service! We will def be back!
Amazing! The food was great. The steaks was on point! Definitely will be back...
Made reservation and told them we may arrive between 7:30-8:15 , the original reservation was for 7:30 we should have just stayed with that but wanted to be polite. we where coming from a confirmation event and didn’t know when we would arrive exactly. Upon arriving at 7:45 we had to be seated exactly at 8:15 even though the space was half full. we wait and then when the magical 8:15 arrived they first try to seat us in the worst area of the restaurant. We declined , they move us to main dining room under the only table in the restaurant that had no working lights at all so we couldn’t see each other, we ask to be moved, third time was a charm and we liked the table very much, our server had a zero personality did not review the order and it came incorrect. Steaks where burnt outside and actually not hot. not good nor healthy to eat char, i ordered mine with a half lobster and instead it came out with an oscar sauce all over it. the biscuits are special it normally comes piping hot came cool i bragged about it before we arrived only to be let down. the lobster tagliatelle came out and had absolutely no sauce on it this supposed amazing dish was dry noodles i’m not kidding!. i’m not sure but i think the maitre d was spiting us for our impatience in having to wait so long for a table with our children. he knew we had kids 9 and 15 and asked us to wait in the bar area??? overall the experience was a disaster on all levels, the snotty greetings are normal here but the food usually makes up for it. they want to create that we don’t need u mentality but now food and service down. This was a total zero experience on all levels an absolute complete let down, we won’t be back and will tell all
our friends the same. the food was the worst it’s ever been and the manager did not come out to address the issues nor did i want to keep dampening our special occasion. this had been a go to place for us for many years don’t know what happened but she’s on the way down.
Food was excellent as always! Our server was very nice although he took a while to check on us so we have to ask for water several times. Besides that, perfect!
We had good service and restaurant is cool looking with the jellyfish tank inside. The beef tartare was the best, and the steak was average for the price but prepared as I ordered it (rare plus). Charred brocolini was good too.
I been there many times
This steak house is very loud, I enjoy it when they can give me a seat in the back private room or outside but unfortunately they don’t accept outdoor reservations... so it’s always a lottery to be lucky enough to seat where I like.
This time the food wasn’t great my steak wasn’t cooked the way I asked medium rare, it was rare. The caesars salad we asked, we weren’t able to eat the croutons, it was hard like a rock I was scare to break my teeth...
Drink sucked, I asked for a Maitai but the bartender didn’t do the way I liked..
I was with my bf and another couple, it was my idea to go to this steak house so I didn’t want to be a pain and complain about all the dinner flaws but the other couple and my bf steaks weren’t cooked properly also.
Nobody was really satisfied.
Our waiter was super! Service was good, food was pretty good too. Only noise was the obnoxious woman behind us cursing like a sailor & the noisy cars/bikes every few minutes 😂 Would definitely return though!
This place was our favorite eating experience while in Ft. Lauderdale. Get a table outside if you can, the view and the nice ocean breeze are a nice addition. The beet salad was an unexpected favorite, and the bread (popovers) were heavenly. Of course the steak was as fabulous as we hoped it would be. Definitely eat here!!
The steak was served well done and should have been cooked medium well.
We eat out several times a week and this was by far the worst and slowest service we have received in years. Very disappointed. Sorry to be so negative but we kept asking for our drinks and asking our server time as time again for things.
Terrific food, atmosphere and approachable wine card.
Great view of beach , Great vibe , customer service & Food was amazing
Great food and amazing service! Loved the atmosphere
The service and food was beyond excellent! I highly recommend Steak 954! Enrique was our server and did a phenomenal job!
Server rushed us a bit. REALLY wanted to turn our table. Food was great and beach views can’t be beat!
Great food and service!!!
Went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Excellent service and they surplus with a cupcake at the end if dinner.
Great steakhouse, really fair prices and top notch staff!
We were very happy to celebrate our anniversary at Steak 954. The meal was nicely handled until the food arrived and they mixed up who was getting which steak. We waited a long time before the plates were cleared by a front staff person as our server was handling a large party. Despite these little issues, everything was delicious and the room was well distanced. Only the ladies room was crowded with very drunk women. I was surprised to see people in the lobby of the W Hotel without masks.
We were staying at the W and decided to have dinner at the hotel at Steak 954. My husband and I had dined there about 5 years ago and it was memorable even back then. We ate outside and shared some appetizers, Caesar salad and French onion soup, both were delicious. My sister and I shared the lobster tagliatelle entrée and it was amazing. For dessert we had the warm apple cobbler with ice cream—also delicious. The service was impeccable. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant both to locals and out-of-towners.
Great Birthday Breakfast with my Wife, enjoyed the food very much and great setting!
Food was great but service was lacking. We got our drinks, followed by main course, THEN appetizers. Our add on to the main course was incorrectly given to a different table but left on our bill.
Food was fantastic. Server was attentive and prompt. Only problem was they allowed dogs in the restaurant. The older couple behind us had two yapping dogs that went bonkers every time to server stopped by the table. Completely obnoxious. I’m a dog person but they don’t belong in a high end restaurant.
Food was delicious, excellent service and beautiful ambiance both inside and outside. Of course, love the jellyfish!!!!! Very unique experience.
Had my wife’s birthday great time! A+++
After last night I am not planning to go back anytime soon. The waiter was the only nice person. Checkin guy had the biggest attitude I have ever experienced in any restaurant. Disappointed and he alone ruined the evening.
Empty tables outside and he was not willing to give us one.
Poor customer service!!!!!! He needs to remember that I am not working de him, but he is there to service me.
We made a reservation for brunch and it was very nice. They gave us the option of outside or inside. Outside was a 30 minute wait but I’m happy we waited. While we waited we had a drink at the indoor bar and the bartenders were very nice to talk to. And the weather was so nice that I’m so happy I waited for the outside seating. The only thing i didn’t like is that they didn’t bring chips with the tuna tartare but they quickly got some for us. Would definitely come again for a lowkey brunch. The oysters were delicious!
