Steak 954 at the W Fort Lauderdale
Richard was great and attentive! Food superb!
We spent the evening at Steak 954 to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The entire staff was awesome from the moment we walked in. Our waiter, Enrique was fabulous! Enrique fully understands the value of Customer Experience and never dropped the ball once all evening. Very professional. Thank you to the entire staff at Steak 954 and Enrique.
Everything about the meal was wonderful. I wish we could go more often but the price makes it a special occasion destination only.
We loved it so much we back two bites in a row
Favorite tuna tartare , Ribeye super delicious to share
Salad is huge so all u need is one large portions
From start to finish, our experience at Steak 954 was spectacular. Our waiter Maxwell was friendly, funny, and a wealth of knowledge. Our food was incredible and, despite how full we were after a bread course, appetizer, and meal, we had to try a dessert and the chocolate soufflé did not disappoint. It was truly a perfect evening and we can’t wait to go back!
overall, food was good and service was good. Steaks were a touch salty on this visit and we ordered them med rare and they were slightly over done but not enough to send them back. Time in-between courses seemed long.
Always our go to Resturant when we have clients in town.
This was my third or fourth visit and we chose this for a friend’s 50th birthday dinner for eight of us. It just wasn’t up to its usual par. Although our table was ready when we arrived (about 15 min early) they didn’t seat us until five minutes after our reservation. Time between courses was extra long. Three of the steaks had to be sent back and a couple of the sides just weren’t cooked properly. The staff were lovely and kind about everything and it was a really off night. Which is not what you want for someone’s special celebration. We were disappointed.
Terrific steak dinner and beet salad.
This was easily one of my top 10 dining experiences of all time.
We celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday with dinner and the meal was outstanding. The quality of the food was excellent. The filet and lobster we’re delicious and cooked perfect. The blacked rack of lamb was one of the best Ive had in a long time. Great job and I would highly recommend to dine here.
Fabulous food and incredible service. Can’t wait to go back.
Have been here several times and always had a good experience . This particular time our waiter brought the wrong meal. Waited extra 15 minutes for the correct order while my other guest finished their dinner. The side dish we ordered was to share but it was cold by the time my order arrived. No effort to make things right from the waiter, we ordered a glass of wine with dessert and thought they would at least cover the dessert or a glass of wine. I paid the bill in full and left the waiter 18% regardless of the mistake but overall not what I would expect from a restaurant of this level.
Entirely too loud! We were looking for quiet romantic dinner for our 25th wedding anniversary, we could not even carry on conversation. Food and service were great!
Nice vacation indulgence
Reservation for 5 to celebrate a birthday and made sure to let them know both at time of reservation and when we arrived. Was told they were aware and the staff and server would make the appropriate fuss of the birthday boy. Dessert arrived and...nothing! No acknowledgement, no candle on cake and not even a Happy Birthday from the server- who had spent the entire meal being less than friendly, abrupt and not particularly nice. Disappointed as this was supposed to be a special night.
Fun evening, high quality food and experience at a reasonable price point. Will definitely return again!
I have been to Steak 954 many time...I will never go back. Two of the seven people at dinner got very sick that night. Not sure what end to put over the toilet. When my steak was delivered I told the waitress something was not right. I have had the NY strip Japanese steak many times. She insisted that I was wrong. I ate it and something was not right. I should have stopped. I certainly paid the price that night...SOOOOO SICK.
Steak 954 has changed and not for the better. My bill was almost $1000. It was suppose to be a birthday celebration. It turned into a celebration of the toilet.
We went for a special birthday dinner and had a fabulous evening. Service and food were great. It's pricey but was a fun splurge for our celebration.
Excellent ambiance. Popovers are fantastic. Steak was perfectly cooked.
Great experience. Amazing food, ambiance and service. Joseph was really friendly and attentive.
Would suggest families with small children be seated in separate area! As a mother of 5, I get it, but we were seated by two families with 4 children under four who were VERY LOUD and disruptive!
Food was just mediocre and expensive. Shrimp appetizer was alright but nothing great. The Dover Sole was overcooked and hash in flavor with burnt butter - Meniere sauce was miserable. Lamb Chops were undercooked. Steak was good but not outstanding as the price would have indicated.
Service was outstanding. Polite, attentive and professional.
Atmosphere was very good outside with good noise level and wonderful views.
Would not recommend this place for food on a Monday
This was our first trip to Steak 954 on a January 2020 visit to Ft. Lauderdale. Food was above average, with the King Crab Leg poached in butter a 10/10. Chopped salad with vegetables, was just okay. The size of the chopped carrots and celery were too large, and the salad could have used something of more interest - toasted nuts, chunks of creamy blue cheese, something. 8 oz. filet mignon was cooked as requested and very flavorful. Side dishes a bit lacking. Stuffed hash browns were large, and had a nice crisp on the outside. They were stuffed with cubed baked potatoes, which made for a very dry consistency overall. Wagyu cheesesteaks were tasty, but a bit bland. The price tag of $65 is due to the split of champagne served with. Not worth the price tag.
The ambiance of dining outside can be such a nice experience, especially when traveling to FL from the Northeast. It was a chilly night, so we were seated near outdoor standing heaters. Toasty enough, until the fuel ran out, which was immediately before our main courses were brought to the table. We twice requested that the heater be relit, but finally were told that they had run out of fuel to refill the unit. (really? a $$$$ restaurant with dedicated outdoor dining space). Anyway, they moved us to another table near a heater. There was a patron sitting alone with a glass of wine (not dining) at an adjacent table, and she was smoking. Our mains get delivered, albeit somewhat cold what with the table change, and now we have the enjoyment of smelling cigarette smoke as we dine. I asked a server if smoking was allowed, and they replied yes. I'm not sure of Florida smoking laws, but in Pennsylvania, there is no smoking permitted at restaurants, inside or out.
Our server was knowledgeable and very efficient, but very flat in personality.
From the hostess to our server(s) to the food itself, everything was outstanding! It ranked right up there with our favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.
The best! Will come back again for sure!
Food was great but the service was even better! Thanks to Enriqué!
Great experience, service and food!
We went there on a Saturday at 630, we were seated right away but once seated it took some time to get a sever, mind you it was not busy yet. Once we did he was great. His name was Kevin and he went above and beyond answering our questions and giving his food options. We had drinks, salads and 2 different steaks, one was the wagyu filet and the other was the bone in strip. All the food was great. We did not get dessert. We had issues at the end when our waiter got a big party at another table and it seemed as though we had been forgotten. It took some time for him to come back and give us the check then more waiting for him to pick it up. Then they had a issue with our gift card but once that was resolved we left. Other then feeling like we were ghosted at the end it was a nice dinner.
Must place for brunch on weekends. Outstanding steak and eggs.
Went for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. Food was incredible as was the staff. Highly recommend
Great place, amazing food, and a fun time!
Best meal in Fort Lauderdale !!!! Our waiter Joe was above and beyond! Food was great! Don’t miss this restaurant
Food and service is amazing! One of the best restaurants in the area.
New Year’s Eve!
New Years Eve. Overall the experience, food and service were excellent. We chose to sit outside on the terrace overlooking A1A which was a nice experience as the weather was excellent.
Although we had a reservation, we were seated outside, which was good, except service was not, and the quality of the food underwhelming. I had an onion soup which was alright, but it needed more broth. The mozzarella buffala was bland and the dessert, a baked Alaska, not really a baked Alaska, but a very sweet meringue with ice cream.
I was disappointed in both the service and the food, and for the prices the restaurant charge, they surely should make a better effort. I had to ask twice for my table to be cleaned, something which I believe is the minimum once should expect. On the plus side, the pop overs were lovely.
Date with hubby. Hostess put us by a yelling 5 year who was climbing on the table. Other than that and asking to be moved dinner was excellent
We absolutely love Steak 954, we visit every time we are in the area.
As always Steak 954 doesn’t disappoint!!
Service was excellent as was the food and drinks
Love this place
