Steak 44 Ratings and Reviews
As expected it was another great night at steak 44. The meal was great start to finish. From apps to after dinner drinks everything was on point. Shout out to Megan for being a great sport and even better server. We have been here several times and highly recommend. The only thing that beats the food is the service. Special shout to Tanner. PAPOOSE PAPOOSE. All around a great time and a place we can’t wait to come back to.
It was a small office holiday function, just five people. Due to the popularity of this location, it was a bit cramped in thw setting. The service was, for a lack of a better term, sporadic. Being a semi-work function, there was but one bottle of wine consumed. This seemed to annoy the wait staff. The food was on point and as expected.
Overall the experience at Steak 44 was perfect. The food was phenomenal and delicious. At first when we walked In they wanted to place us at a small table next to big table of 8 which were very loud. Without a problem, the hostesses moved us over to a more quieter table. Great night!
I'm 55 years old, I've dined at some great restaurants all over the world. Steak 44 knows how to provide a level of customer service that other restaurants just don't get. It's really not rocket science, they trully work very hard at making sure you want for nothing! One of the best steaks I've ever had! I will dine here again and I can't wait!
A Phoenix experience not to be missed. Steak 44 was recommended to us several times so we decided to give it a try. We were a little early for our open table reservation but we were seated immediately. Nice table. Very crowded. Very lively. Nice waitstaff. I ordered my fillet done medium plus hoping for a pink center. When my meal arrived it was quite red and I asked them to send it back. No problem. Very quickly I was brought out a new dinner. The chef and the manager both came to see if everything was to my liking. It was delicious! After dinner we were treated to a complimentary dessert. What a nice way to end the evening
This was the perfect venue for our special night. They really go out of their way to make the evening wonderful. We received a personal card, everyone wished us well, they brought out a special dessert and even called the next day. The wait staff were friendly and knowledable. The food was delicious. I took some of my Wagyu filet home and I was actually able to cut it with a butter knife. Love Love Love!! Worth every penny.
First time there after wanting to go for a long time. Service was good. Food was just above average for this area. My double cut pork chop was overdone. We have so many great dining options in the Phoenix/Scottsdale market that this restaurant just does not stand out enough to make it a "must-go" kind of place based on my first experience there. I would like to try it again.
Steak was great ...the sea bass was ok jus wish it didn’t come by itself we thought it would come on a bed of rice or something but other than that dinner was fine...oh yea it was pretty loud but I’m not really complaining just noticed the difference from other steakhouses
Service was great, We ate at the bar, and we were well taken care of by Grace. The steaks were okay-I thought they could have been seasoned better-and for the money-the steaks were expensive. The meat temperature doneness-was offset by the temperature of the plate the meet is served on- so if you get medium or medium rare it will finish cooking on the plate. The hassleback potatoes were delicious and the wine list has a good variety.
This was the first time I dined at Steak 44. My wife and I met my brother and his wife for dinner. They brought their 4 year old girl, who can be a little energetic. The service at the restaurant was incredible. I never experienced customer service this fantastic when dining out at a restaurant. Not once during the 2 1/2 hours did they raise an eyebrow when my niece was playing hide and seek under the table and constantly walking around the table. A manager stopped during dinner to talk with us. The food was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfect and very, very flavorful. The mac n cheese and 2 types of potatoes were the best I ever had. To top it off, they called me the next day and asked me how my overall experience was and thanked me for dining. Wow, overall, awesome!
My husband and I were in Phoenix for the weekend and a friend recommended Steak 44 for dinner. My husband took me there for my birthday. Everything was absolutely fabulous! Impeccable service and the wine our server suggested was excellent. The food couldn't be any better. What a memorable night that we will never forget!
The place was packed when we got there but they gave us a quieter room in the back. The service was outstanding. The steak itself was disappointing. We ordered the bone in strip and there wasn’t maybe more than three or four good bites to it. The sides and the appetizers were unimpressive. The Caesar salad, though, was quite good.
Seak 44 is an outstanding steakhouse. My wife had the small N Y strip and I had the bone in veal chop. Both were wonderful and cooked to perfection. Our server, Becca, is a consummate professional. She clearly belongs at such a superb dining establishment. The staff is very professional and quite friendly. Pappas Brothers in Houston and Del Friscos in Ft. Worth are excellent steak houses; two of the best anywhere. However, Steak 44 edges them out, in my humble opinion. I do not live in Phoenix, but believe me, I will go back to Steak 44 the next time I visit.
Enjoyed the overall restaurant and the service was wonderful! Our only thing that we did not care for was everything seemed to be heavy with garlic. We like garlic but we must have ordered everything on the menu that has a lot of garlic in it. Otherwise, it was wonderful, especially the veal chop. It was heaven.
Steak 44 is a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. The food is good. The steaks are good, but they do not compare to Ruth Chris steaks. Alcoholic drinks at Steak 44 are overpriced at $18 a drink, when you consider what you buying (their mixed cocktails are VERY light on the alcohol). We only go once in a blue moon, because of those reasons.
