Great service and good food!
Good atmosphere. Good variety of food. Great french onion soup. Many beer choices.
We have in the past really enjoyed your food especially your brunch.
On Fri we both had the fish fry which was very disappointing due to the lack of fish! Just the fried breading was there with a tiny bit of fish.
We will go there again to see if it improves.
Great service, excellant food, many good choices, close to home.
Our family of five dined together on a Saturday night. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and although it was busy, our service was great as was the food. We loved the vegan wings!!!
This is a must try establishment if you are in the neighborhood. Stumbled upon this place when visiting my son who is attending a college in the area. Every time we get the opportunity to visit with him, we try to take him out for a great meal at State Street Grill. Fresh ingredients, decent portions, nice selection of wine. Whether you are ordering a burger for lunch or something a bit more fancy from the specials dinner menu, consistently good food and service.
Always a good time!
The food was delicious, and I was able to order off menu. Service was really prompt.
My only concern was that we were seated in the front room at a table with high chairs - not the most comfortable especially women who were 70+ years. The back room would have been much more comfortable. Perhaps you could add the seating arrangement to your reservation information.
State Street Grill is hands down our favorite place to eat. Love the atmosphere. It is a very cool, fun vibe. The menu is superb and it is always a place to go to celebrate a special occasion or for no reason at all. Always get excited when I know we will be dining there.
Our fav restaurant of all time. Always satisfied. Highly recommended
The wait for our table was long, we expected with a large table for table to be ready at least fifteen minutes before our 5 15 reservation, instead our table was not ready till after 5 30, it was ice festival weekend so some delay was expected, but the crowd made it hard with little room for waiting. Once we were seated food and drinks were great, one person had slight mishap with burger not cooked well enough to their liking, but staff quickly refired a burger cooked to their specification, the vegan options were always amazing which is my favorite feature of this restaurant using fresh, healthy ingredients catering to all dietary needs; I always enjoy my state street experience
We had a fantastic Valentines Day date! The handcrafted cocktails, fantastic cheese plate, amazing entrees, and unbelievable desserts were perfect for a special night out! We will absolutely be back for brunch soon to try the fig flatbread!
Valentine’s Day! It was fantastic
Great vibe to the place. Some different dishes and nice craft beer selection.
Nice place, bit tight with the # of tables they have and seems a bit too dark inside. Was there for lunch with 3 people, one had the flat bread, other two had burgers. All meals we well prepared and very tasty, one of the best burgers I had in a while. Parking is a bit of an issue, as they have no parking lot, or at least I didn't see one, but parked in the back along the street. I'd go again.
The tuna special was excellent... worth coming back to get.
Service also very good.
Crab cake mushier than usual
Service excellent as usual , food like we expected , good and quick drinks
We love it here.... food is always GREAT!! Love the cheese options on the menu
Food and staff was great!
Food was excellent. Love the atmosphere
SSG is a true gem- excellent food and a very professional staff that caters to your every need. Great restaurant, and even better people
Our server literally only came in once to ask if we needed anything. Throughout the time we ate our appetizers, our server spent the entire time talking to the table behind us and was so freaking loud, my husband and i couldnt survive a normal conversation. The server laughed extremely loudly and obnoxiously for 30 min. Then throughout the time i finished my salmon and my husband his huge vege burger , the server talked at another table for 30 min and the realised she should come to us for the bill. We had to ask someone else to give us a coke. She was the worst server ever and ruined our new years eve.
Very loud and they had so many tables squished in so there was no privacy. The food was good, not something I would be longing to go back for. Nicely decorated. Service was decent but our waiter never told us the specials until after we ordered appetizers and soup.
Great food and great service! We go every year for our anniversary!
A $14 salad was the tiniest plate possible. All of the ingredients listed on the menu were not even in there. It was so dark and the tables were very tight
This place is consistently consistent! The staff is always on top of their game and always willing to please the customer. Our drinks were delicious and food was hot, fresh and well prepared. Whenever friends come to town we always recommend SSG!
The food here was nothing short of phenomenal and the service was second to none. While this is not a tailored suit and tie establishment the food’s taste and presentation held the highest standard I’ve seen in over a decade of experiencing different restaurants.
I was not afraid to try a variety of choices in my trip. I ordered the house made pretzels and pulled pork tacos for appetizers, both of which blew my mind with the flavors.
For my entree I enjoyed their daily ‘Catch’ which was a medium rare tuna served on a bed of cheesy polenta and asparagus spears, with roasted tomatoes on the side.
To top it all off I had the fanciest dessert of my life in the form of the vanilla bean creme brûlée, garnished in a presentation that could have easily taken 10 minutes to create.
I wish I could upload the pictures I took of the food to help convey the full effect.
My father and cousin shared the appetizers with me and ordered the house burger and margarita pizza respectively, with both dishes earning high praise from them both.
I can’t wait for the next opportunity to bring more family and friends to this place again.
Not quick food, and no complimentary bread while waiting, but entrees (with vegetables) are ample.
Regular at the State St grill. Menu changed recently but still good.Food nicely presented and tasty. This place is often crowded but this time reasonably quiet but filled up around 8 pm on Saturday.
Certainly recommend for food or beer.Nice ambiance and truly a gem in the area.
Cozy spot for a midweek dinner. Menu choices ranged from burgers to steaks.
3 Friends had a nice and delicious and healthy quiche and salad lunch together. Quiche was just made and very, very good and the fresh salad & dressing were also very very good. The server was friendly, professional, efficient, and perfectly attentive.
We had vegan chicken wings, and vegan soup. Both of them were very good. However, the vegan risotto was very bland. It did not have any spices in it, not even salt. It also had too much balsamic vinegar.
We go here every weekend for the Egg'Chos. They also had a spring roll special that was delicious and the blueberry loaf was on point!
Dark and noisy --- but had a great waiter (Rich) and the food and service were fine.
We were an older threesome and had some difficulty seeing while being shown to our table.
Since we were there for a late lunch the crowd and noise dissipated quickly.
I have always enjoyed food at state street grill. never a disappointment. :)
First off beautiful spot great staff and most important GREAT food. We will definitely be back next want to try Sunday Brunch.
Met with business associates for lunch. Nice atmosphere, healthy food choices, and the service was excellent. I had the chicken Buddha bowl and would recommend it.
State Street is always the right place!! Perfect inside or outside. The food is consisting excellent. Go with the girls, or on a date!
State Street never disappoints! The menu, staff, and atmosphere always exceed my expectations. It is a favorite for any type of meal or occasion.
