Redfern Restaurants

Another wonderful visit. We have enjoyed eating at Mezepotamia since they were at Leichhardt. They were packed to the rafters last night - so glad to see them busy! We still received top notch service. Good to try some new things on the menu (but hope the manti makes a return sometime). The octopus starter was a standout - like a Turkish ceviche.

We all absolutely loved the care and thought of the team who made sure we were warm and comfortable outside with heaters and blankets. The pre theatre menu was as delicious as we had remembered last visit and came out with enough time between courses. One of our guests was allergic to garlic and as most dishes contained garlic the chef kindly whipped up several tasty dishes that our friend enjoyed very much. I highly recommend Bart jr!

For the quintessential Italian meal with a low key beautiful approach to serving authentic plates go to Fontana. Flawless in vibe and execution of dishes, Fontana is a must if you’re serious about good food and wine. If you’re a solo diner you can feel right at home eating up at the bar. Two words - just go.

Had an amazing night with friends last night. Food was amazing, especially the twice cook octopus and the steak. Service was excellent and staffs were very accommodating. Would definitely come back and recommend others to join as well!
