What an incredible experience!! The Chophouse on Broad Street is a winner on all fronts. The food, service, and ambiance were all top notch with my filet being probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten.

I made brunch reservations at Largos to celebrate an early Mother's Day with my family. Searched online for restaurants in Cartersville because I wanted to eat before heading to the Booth Museum. Largos came highly recommended, so I booked it. It was a very rainy, dreary, unexciting drive from Kennesaw. When we arrived, upon first impressions, I was underwhelmed with the restaurant from the outside. Additionally, the parking lot was strange because when entering the one-way lot, all the open spaces have signs saying No Parking. (It took a few minutes to figure out where to park, and it mattered because it was pouring.) Once inside, everything became magical. The cozy ambiance is soothing, modern, and intelligently-designed. From the colorful graphics of well-known musicians on the wall by the bar, to the huge Einstein, to the low-lighting, to the BEST bathrooms I've ever experienced in a restaurant, to the attentive server, and the amazing food, we knew we were having a very special dining experience. My daughters were so wowed as was I. I am a Bay Area native who can be snobby when it comes to restaurants. This place ranks way high on my list, and my ITP (inside the perimeter) daughters agreed. They said, "Wow, this place is so good! Who'd have thought there's a place like this in Cartersville?" Largos hit a home run. I encourage everyone to give it a try. You will be so glad you did.

We were traveling and I chose this restaurant on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised when we realized it was part of the Hawthorn hotel we used to stay at when our daughter was in college. We quickly noted that the place was full of larger groups of people seated on couches and other cozy spaces for hanging out. The atmosphere just seemed friendly. Our waitress, Lisa, quickly let us know we were in for a treat. She had moved to the area from New York and considered the food as good or superior to other fine restaurants. We hoped she was right! We started with an Old Fashioned and some Brussels sprouts. My husband still makes the best Old Fashioned, but the Brussels sprouts with the fried pork belly and the perfect touch of chipotle were some of the best we’ve tasted. We split a wedge salad and then I had the braised pork chop served on polenta with a lovely vegetable medley of Brussels sprouts and carrots — delicious! — while my husband ordered the salmon — also quite tasty but not as good as mine! Is any meal complete without something sweet at the end? Not possible according to my husband!!! He ordered the chocolate chip lava cake, which was more of a chocolate chip “blondie” with ice cream. Still very good, but not what we expected. But overall, we had a wonderful dinner and were very pleased with the excellent service we received — never too much but enough to feel “seen.” We won’t hesitate to stop there again if we’re in the area! Oh! And the portions were so large we have plenty of leftovers for a nice repeat meal!

Every single aspect of La Scala was incredible!! Food, service, ambiance, everything!
