I was born and raised in Texas, moved here in 1997, and had tried all the so-called Mexican food restaurants (Tres Amigos comes to mind) and they were an utter joke. (ordered chicken fajitas (ok, Tex-Mex) one time and got a grilled chicken breast; when I complained, the waitress argued with me about whether or not that was correct) Nowadays, there are a dozen or more Mexican restaurants and even though I have not tried them all, I can safely say La Taqueria is still the best.
