Both were the best we have tasted - fresh and not greasy. Service was excellent and the sweets were exceptional - we very nearly ordered second helpings. Service was spot on as well as the wine available with a wonderful range of English wines. Everything is perfect about the mermaid inn and the staff are fantastic and very friendly, the food is out of this world and the rooms are incredible, we love visiting and are always excited about our next visit.
