A Sunday roast par excellence. The beef was delicious and cooked to perfection and served attentively with all the traditional accompaniments. Pinot Noir to accentuate the flavours. Room for Bread and Butter pudding after a short rest. Definitely ranking with best experiences of “gastropub grub’ Highly recommended.

Lovely birthday meal, the food was really good and they were very accommodating! Probably our first experience of a restaurant that is such a high standard but allows children and dogs. The junior staff lacked experience and so the 12.5% tip coming to almost £30 (4 adults and a child) felt a lot! Saying that I would recommend and come back. Amazing find on our weekend away!

The Jolly Sailors was a pleasant surprise. The food and drink were very good and priced well. It is a traditional looking place . It would not get a fine dining rating but for easy and relaxed eating it was very good. It appeared to be popular with families.
