Pine Mountain Restaurants

From authentic country cooking to fine dining, Pine Mountain has plenty to offer. Georgia and the Pine Mountain area boast many iconic Southern food dishes, a staple of which is shrimp and grits. The shrimp is usually on a bed of cheesey grits and often topped with bacon, sausage, tomato and butter sauce, a fried egg, or bell peppers. Georgia also claims to be the birthplace of Brunswick stew, another iconic Southern dish. It is a thick, tomato-based stew with vegetables including lima or butter beans, okra, and corn. It is usually packed with chicken, pork, or beef although traditionally squirrel, rabbit, and opossum were also used.
