- LLowellGrand Rapids / Western Michigan •3 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoWe enjoy our visits to Hopcat....the one downside is you better not be in a hurry. Service was slow, as usual......mostly driven by a very slow kitchen....and it was not overly busy. Still, that's the only real drawback, so yes, we will return.More infoHopCat - KalamazooPrice: Moderate• American• Kalamazoo•4.4

Discover Augusta
In an old-time lumber and dairy town like Augusta, Michigan, you would expect the wholesome cuisine that built America, and you will not be disappointed to find just that. A mid-day treat of a banana split is not uncommon for visitors to the area. Made traditionally with chocolate sauce drenching chocolate ice-cream, pureed strawberries over strawberry ice-cream, and vanilla ice-cream covered in diced pineapples, the dessert sweetens your whole day. For dinner, treat yourself to a true lumberjack style meal with a carbonara dish that includes the rich flavor of grilled mushrooms and fried pork belly. The fried pork belly is crisp fried before immersion into a rich gravy with mushrooms added just late enough to add their velvety nuance to the gravy while retaining a fresh and malleable texture.
