Mahogany’s steaks are the finest custom-aged U.S. Prime Midwestern Beef, known for its excellence in marbling, texture and flavor. The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat. Whether you enjoy the historic Haymarket atmosphere to the relaxed vibe of the Cellar, we have what you want!

    I love the Backlot! This was my second time here and it was just as amazing. The staff are exceptional and attentive. The food is so, so delicious. The time between ordering and food arriving is great...almost too fast. 😁 We had the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips. So creamy and a LOT of dip. Also had the ceasar salad, which was really good. I had the Cadillac Pizza and it's disgustingly perfect! I could eat it every day! Also ordered the bacon mac and cheese. Which was creamy, cheesy, and smokey! People, don't walk....RUN to the Backlot Pizza + Kitchen and enjoy a delicious and reasonably priced meal. They had live music while we were there...made for a perfect atmosphere. For those who are sensitve to noise, it was not super loud. There is one huge issue and it's a pretty big deal. I hate that I live an hour away and can't go more often.

    Amazing. My fiance and I love trying new places and this place was absolutely amazing. From as soon as we walked in we knew it was going to be a great experience. Host was very welcoming, our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was fantastic. Will for sure be back.

    It was one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. First of all we arrived ten minutes early for our 6pm reservation. And we were out by 6:20. Emily and her coworkers were super efficient and the turnaround from ordering to being served to checking out was seamless. Soup, appetizers, and entrees were hot and / or room temperature and delicious. Me and my two young children had a great time and a great meal.

Nebraska is known as farm country, but don't discount the cities! For instance, Omaha is well-known for its many steakhouses. Of course, quality barbecue is always on the menu, and you can enjoy great pork tenderloin in addition to beef. Those with adventurous palates might enjoy a plate of Rocky Mountain oysters, a Nebraska tradition. Don't let landlocked Nebraska fool you. The seafood restaurants are plentiful and fine, offering shrimp with a Mexican zing and fresh oysters for happy hour.
