- FFFabFelitavipLos Angeles •23 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoStephanie Izard is the BEST - So personable, meticulous, adventurous and such a fabulous host! Stephanie's Ranch Chili Crunch Brunch was super fun and delicious -- 7 courses -- each one so flavorful and freshly made and served to us off the line. All served family style. Faves were the shrimp congee (OMG sooo good, flavor bomb), and the BLT (deconstructed pork belly, sweet and savory, that bit of crisp and chewy, nom nom). Bought two marinades (Tokyo and Yucatan) and 2 Spicy Chili Crunches. Love these special events - and worth the price ($230/for two prepaid) and easily booked via OpenTable.More infoGirl & the Goat L.A.Price: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.8
- TTweeSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe booked a reservation at 10:15pm Friday night, arrived around 9pm, checked in, and walked across the street to Damian's for drinks at their bar. By the time we walked back, they had a table ready for us at 10pm. The place is very lively (loud), and the energy is great. Service is wonderful. Everyone was enjoyable to talk to. We had the beef tartare, casear salad, squid ink spaghetti, and peaches n cream dessert. Highly recommend all of it. It's probably the best casear salad we've ever had. The spaghetti was balanced in flavor and delicious. We were stuffed from eating all day, but there's always room for fruit desserts. It was our anniversary, and they came out with a candle on the dessert. That was very sweet and appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful and fun evening.More infoBestiaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7

No matter what is going on in the world as long as I can get this slice of heaven periodically, all is well. The food is not word worthy. You will never experience it secondhand. Just freaking go!! Get the red snapper tangine, the lamb swarma plate , the banana cake (lord help us!) lol. Just go! That is all. - ASAlanSLos Angeles •7 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2023Absolutely the best French toast I have ever eaten...all the food was great but the French toast stood out. Freaky day because it was not supposed to rain, but it's LA so of course it rained and we had windy gusts on the outside...BUT...Perch has blankets!. Yes and soft quality ones, so we were toasty even in the LA blizzard.More infoPerch LAPrice: Expensive• French American• Downtown•4.6

Think Los Angeles is a one-industry town? Think again. From the micro-Seoul of Koreatown to unexpected fusion cuisines (take Chinese-Mexican, for one) and strip malls that house destination restaurants, the city’s restaurant scene is notably experimental and diverse. Ask locals where to find the best taco truck (or lonchero) in the city, and you’ve struck a match. These mobile microenterprises are a part of the city's lifeblood. With L.A.’s own Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic, Jonathan Gold, describing the city as “less of a melting pot—more of a glittering mosaic,” we’re seeing L.A.’s vast palate show up on the plate.
