Food, ambiance was very good. However the waiter service (Terry)was outstanding. It was a great experience. Thank you.
Very nice dining room, excellent food and service. We had a breakfast buffet the next morning and that was excellent as well
Stars never disappoints. Wonderful dinner and perfect service. So lucky to have Stars in Talbot County!
Stars did not live up to our expectations. Beautiful facility and grounds but poor dining experience. Food was mediocre and service was below average. Restaurant was close to empty on a Saturday night.
What a shame. This restaurant has the facilities and location to be a top 10. Would not recommend.
What a great spot with unbelievable food, service, and views!!
Delightful ! Would recommend to our family and friends!!
So overpriced! Crab and corn chowder was delicious - but not worth $16 a bowl. Dinners were small portions and very expensive. Farmhouse chicken was not flavorful. The sea bass was good but the mushrooms were odd, tough and had no flavor. Chocolate ice cream was yummy- but again - way overpriced for three very small scoops.
The atmosphere is lovely - but would not go back.
wife’s birthday 🎂 she loved it
we also had breakfast twice and truly outstanding ❤️
When my friend and I went for lunch in the winter to beautiful St. Michaels and the Inn at Perry Cabin, it was very quiet. However it was wonderfully decorated for Christmas and the restaurant overlooks the water. Be sure to ask for a table by the window. The food, although not a very extensive menu at lunch, was very good and a very generous serving. We have a lovely time. Be sure and visit the quaint little town of St. Michaels while you are there.
The Inn at Perry Cabin is worth seeing anytime, that is, if you've not been to St. Michaels MD before.
Naturally, the cost is fairly expensive, but the service is quite good and the ambiance is very good.
They pay attention to detail. I've been there before, and it was better in terms of food, but it's still better than most any other restaurants in town. And it's civilized!!
Second time I've been disappointed there. Really a shame. Lovely locale, beautiful place......food and beverage don't work.
Our sea bass was not cooked properly, so they brought us a new meal. They did comp us our wine and the server was excellent. Something else that occurred when they brought us the bill, ants crawled out of the bill holder.
Very disappointed! Before we went we looked on the website for the menu options and when we got to the restaurant the menu did not reflect what we were anticipating. The food was fair and over priced. The crab bisque had little to no crab meat in it. I travel and eat at many restaurants and don't mind paying a high price for a quality product. This place must think less is more. Will not be back and will certainly not recommend.
My wife and I celebrated her birthday at the Inn and dined at Stars in the evening (and again for Sunday Brunch). Menu, Staff, & Experience was outstanding
Definitely worth the trip. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Menu selections not particularly interesting, wine list outragiously expensive, not nearly as good an experience as when owned by Orient Express. Have eaten here several times over the years, and, frankly, think one can do better at half the price in St. Michaels.
The worst steak I’ve ever eaten. My husband said he’s had better at Golden Corral... For the price we paid, we were highly disappointed. The vegetables tasted like they had just been pulled from the dirt and the rolls tasted like they had been taken out of a supermarket plastic bag. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
Always a favorite for special occasions or just a wonderful meal, service and view
The beef Medallion was superb. The meat almost melted in my mouth it was so tender.
Wonderful food in a magnificent room; excellent wine list. Wayne and Terry took great care of us. All in all, a very enjoyable.
Our whole experience was exceptional
Our server Wayne was great
Stars was a memorable experience and completely worth it. It's rare that food, service and ambiance are all 5 stars in one place. Our outstanding server Chance made our anniversary experience extra special. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
We love Stars!! Food is creative and delicious ! Our 2 Pups love the doggy menu too!!
Our service was exceptional! I believe her name was Barbie. They were super busy and slower because of it but she kept a very positive attitude and did everything she could to make sure we had a wonderful experience-and we did.
Excellent food but service was much to be desired. The food also took super long to be prepared. Seemed low staffed. Waiter was gracious but he probably had too many tables.
Fantastic fresh vegetables - a perfect September evening to dine outside - great service from Gary - delicious steak - rich, nautical ambience
Only a two window front tables for parties larger than two people so couldn't take advantage of being waterfront. Food tasted great but portions of fish were small and all three of us that got fish had numerous bones in our dishes.
Superb food, excellent service, perfect view. Worth every penny!
Clueless waitress. Butter knives but no butter. No utensils at all when food arrived. Burgers given to wrong customers. “Are we still enjoying our lunch?” when half eaten burgers are lying on the plates.
Stars continues to be our “special place”. Our server, Terry, made us feel so very at home and yet be so professional. He’s the best! Many thanks to all for a lovely experience.
Wife and I are not sure why the mixed reviews on here. Excellent service by our waiter, Wayne. Asparagus and Steak Tartar appetizers were both special. And, the chicken dinner was phenomenal. Usually don’t write reviews but had to throw in my 2cents since they almost made us miss a great meal with an ambiance and view to match!
A nearly flawless experience each time. (We don't expect perfection, but we pretty nearly get it.) Only too glad to pay the steep price, routinely about $100 per person, on the very special occasions we go there. Vicki and Terry feel almost like old friends. Such professionals! On our most recent visit, the oysters were way too small, tasteless and textureless. Why even serve them? Why not say the oysters available that day were not up to Stars' standards? Being "local" doesn't mean any haul is necessarily any good.
Our waitress forgot what our salad and dessert orders were and brought the wrong salad and only one of our desserts. She also forgot to tell us what the specials were and never offered any fresh ground pepper. At a place like that, the service should be stellar.
Food was mediocre. Lettuce was wilted. Flavor combinations a miss. Had higher expectations for 5* hotel.
It was a busy night for the crew. Even though our food took over an hour to arrive, it is a great atmosphere so we were in no rush. The food was great! Regarding the service, it was a mixed review only because we felt like we were being "sold" items vs providing a service. I still recommend the location and the food if you are in the St. Michael's area and celebrating a special evening.
Stars was a truly great experience. The atmosphere was wonderful with gorgeous views of the grounds and water, the staff and service was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Stars. It was a real treat!
Initial drinks and dinner were outstanding and we were very impressed until. Until we ordered a desert, cappuccino and an after dinner drink. We waited and waited and after a very long time the drink and dessert finally arrived but no cappuccino. And when the cappuccino arrived a few minutes later it was not hot. We finished the dessert which was Ok but not near as good as dinner and asked to have the cappuccino off the bill, which was done. Our waiter was Chance, not sure of the cause of this major mistake for a high end restaurant. Final memories are very important!
Wonderful to walk out on the dock with wooden boats, then enjoy dinner looking out on the bay
As my 8 and 10 year old boys said: “Stars is a ‘fancy place’ to eat!” We went for lunch and my boys got to practice their table manners “where it really counts, not just at home!”
We ate delicious food in a beautiful and friendly atmosphere.
The restaurant was beautiful and the people were nice and friendly, but the service was lacking and the food was not good. My companions meal was cold on arrival. The whole operations side of both the restaurant and the Inn could use a makeover.
