Starry Night Cafe
Great experience for a birthday dinner, kudos to Josh and Amanda and crew.
Excellent food and service in a quiet relaxed atmosphere. Excellent wine selections as well. Our favorite restaurant.
Lovely, quiet, wonderful menu for a date.
Dining at Starry Night was an excellent experience. The dining room is intimate without being crowded and offers a wonderful space to share a meal and conversation. The food is absolutely wonderful. Elegantly plated and phenomenal taste. We had both the beef tenderloin and the breadcrumb crusted rack of lamb. The best recommendation I can give is that I would absolutely try something else knowing how amazing those dishes already were. Each were paired with a rich but unique side of potato gratin or leek bread pudding and vegetables, rounding out a complete dining experience. Service was wonderful and quick to recommend their specials and drink pairings. Absolutely worth the drive out of Burlington and anywhere in Vermont.
Had a very delightful and delicious dinner. I really appreciated the server including our 4 year old during table prep prior to each dish coming out. It’s not often you see that so thank you.
April, our server, was great! Food was perfect and flavorful. Love going to this place!!
Food is always incredible. They have the most interesting and delicious cocktails as well.
Our first visit to Starry Night. We absolutely loved it. Seated right away in one of the 3 dining rooms. A discussion of wine that led to a bottle we thoroughly enjoyed. Warm rolls with delicious seasoned olive oil. Excellent entrees and a fabulous desert. Our waiter was not only attentive but gave us some extra attention related to the special occasion we were celebrating. We will definitely be back!
All around Excellent!
Lovely atmosphere and food to celebrate a birthday. It was so quite and intimate and the fireplace was a wonderful touch.
A fantastic dining Experience we had the other night. I have been there many times and I have never been let down and disappointed. I would recommend it for anyone
Great food, outstanding service, and great atmosphere, great wine selection. Would recommend to anyone.
Great romantic evening , and the perfect atmosphere. Much appreciated.
Always a lovely experience. The staff is friendly, courteous and excellent in all they do. This time there were 2 "Aprils" on staff; with my being a "June", we had fun playing with our names. Our salad with butternut squash and gouda, entrees salmon and lamb dishes and dessert chocolate bombe were gorgeous to look at and even more delightful to consume. Over-the-top service, ambiance and food! I forgot to mention the cocktails which happen to be my favorite part of the evening.....Winter Night and Southern Cross....OOH LA LA!
I will look forward to our next Starry Night experience!
Service is excellent, while being friendly and inviting. The food is excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!
Great food and service
Very good filet mignon, excellent bar, and outstanding service.
The food was outstanding but what made it better was the excellent service. It was done in an unobtrusive way and made for the experience which was relaxing and enjoyable.
Starry Night never disappoints. Great food, service and atmosphere!
Our first experience at SNC was New Years Eve and it was wonderful! Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and very friendly and helpful staff. The perfect place for a special night out!
What a fabulous and beautiful place! Outstanding food, service, attention to detail, and ambiance! Everything was fantastic! Incredible food and drinks. Can not wait to come back!
we have been going to Starry Night for years with family and friends every time we return to our home roots in the Champlain Valley areas from San Francisco. We had a lovely meal, everyone enjoyed their choices and our waitress was very helpful and gracious--the food as amazing. What ruined the evening was the dismissive and negative attitude of the woman tending bar that evening. If she doesn't enjoy the job and banter with customers i suggest she try a new career. I was so put off by her nasty response to my husband's query about a cocktail she invented (a very creative and delicious drink called The Fig & The Fox) i doubt we will return next time we visit.
We are saddened to hear your experience with us was met with such an unfortunate circumstance. This occurrence stretches so far from everything we at Starry Night, hold at our core. Nonetheless, it is certainly something we will address and take to heart. We hope you will consider us again in the future and know this one occurrence is not reflective of Starry in its entirety. Above all else, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and wish you a Happy New Year.
A small bowl of soup was $13.50! Small ordinary salad ith beets over $12.00. Salmon entree o.k. Dessertwas best part of meal! Staff very good and table service was great until the place got busy.
Exceptional entrees. Consistent food quality and service. Very nice craft cocktails.
Very Good dance floor.
Good live music bookings.
What a wonderful dining experience! There were four of us; we shared appetizers which were delightful. We each had a different entree and all were outstanding. Dessert was a maple creme brulee that was, by far, the best we ever had. Timing was perfect: we never felt rushed but never waited either. The atmosphere was warm, the staff friendly and welcoming as well as accomplished.
The food was delicious as usual and the service was great.
It was not the magical experience we usually have there.
The music was extremely loud and they were playing Pop music.
Not exactly dinner music. We asked our waitress to please turn down the music and
And have more appropriate music for the holidays and dining. Music was turned down slightly
But continued to play pop music. Really it’s the Christmas season!
Very disappointed the management did not listen to the customers request.
Dinner started with low conversation and then it became nearly impossible when a table of eight arrived mid way thru dinner. The back ground music didin't lend itself to our likes, very non Christmas Seasonal. RWC
Love Starry Night Cafe! Food is so delicious every time and service is always great!
We live about 15 min from the Starry Night. We made an early reservation because it was snowing like mad, and we just wanted a night out. The restaurant was quiet, and the service great - our waiter was a gentleman. The bartender is very good - had a drink (2 actually) called a White Night - a Barr Hill gin cocktail that was very good. Dinner was pork loin sitting on top of mashed potatoes with smokey cranberry sauce. Delicious- yes! Dessert was a fruity meringue tart - split w/ my husband. Excellent end to a good meal on a very snowy night. We like this restaurant because the food is always excellent, the wait staff superb, the wine list extensive, and the mixed drinks great. The building is an old farmhouse (I think) and it’s very tastefully done in a VT way - this whole place is like comfort food deluxe.
The restaurant was perfect but the room we were in could use a little more ambiance and certainly more heat. It was cold. The menu and service were both outstanding. The calamari was the best I’ve ever had.
We had driven by Starry Night Cafe on our trips to Vermont before and stopped one Sunday evening on a whim; the dinner was wonderful!
Although I have dined at Starry NIght Cafe many times I am always so delighted at how amazing it is. The food is delicious and the portions are ample. While they do not have a gluten free menu they are very accommodating for any folks with dietary restrictions. Their fancy cocktails are creative and delicious too. It is such a treat to go there. My only complaint is that it is too far from my home !
Beautiful food, excellent service, steak was a bit tough, or the knives were dull, or both. Rack of lamb had 1 tender piece, the rest were a struggle to get off the bone. Steak was a struggle. Calamari was delicious! Pork tenderloin and seafood also delicious! Desserts were insane! Wine was a tad overpriced.
This year, Thanksgiving is late enough that Starry night was still open for my mid-November birthday!!! Oh! I have missed this place. We haven't been in ages and will NOT let so much time go by again between visits. The atmosphere was just lovely with a fire in the fire place and beautiful candle lanterns all around. The service was WONDERFUL. Our server (April, IIRC) was ready with recommendations , which served us VERY well, and got very quick assists when we threw curveballs. Each course was better than the last. I recommend the sweet potato gratin and if you like caramel, be sure to taste the Sandeman's port they pour. Outstanding!
Great food and cocktails. Top notch service. Not inexpensive but fine as an occasional indulgence.
56th wedding anniversary and they barely acknowledge it didn’t do anything special.they were notified a head of time that it was a special occasion
One of our favorite restaurants in the world. Beautifully prepared meals with locally-sourced ingredients. Lovely environment and wonderful service.
Quite enjoyable and the service wa swell executed for a table of 6
