                                Lovely neighborhood eatery with imaginative menu, reasonable prices, terrific service and a variety of areas inside and out for dining or bar service. It’s a bit noisy for old folks like us but other positive features more than compensate.

                                We were a party of 8 and sat on the patio. It is a lovely setting and good for a large group (not as noisy as inside the restaurant). The food was excellent and so were the cocktails! Our server, Ben, was also outstanding.

                                Usually only dine for brunch but had a great Happy Hour (2.5 hours) and dinner. Fries and white bean purée with grilled flatbread was delicious!

                                Always friendly service and great food at Starbelly. We came for brunch and loved the menu choices, sunny table and welcoming wait staff.

                                I enjoy having lunch at Starbelly. But the brunch breakfast was a disaster. Over cooked and cold eggs, shriveled up bacon, mediocre potatoes. And the chilaquilles were also bad this time cold and overcooked. A truly forgettable meal. And we hadn’t anticipated the loud drag show in the main room. I’m gay but can do without the self indulgent entertainment. (For straight prurient customers visiting the Castro to see a freak show).

                                Hi Tomas, Sorry to hear you had a negative Brunch experience. It sounds like we missed the mark in several aspects, and for that we apologize. I will pass this feedback on to the kitchen and talk strategy with the staff on how this can be avoided. As for our monthly drag show, we will certainly take your comments into consideration and work towards improving experience for guests who are not coming for the show. For the future, we do advertise the show several weeks in advance and are happy to serve you at anytime! Thank you for dining with us, we hope you will give us another chance :)

                                Honestly nothing makes the food special. In fact we found it overpriced and not worth the buck. $22 for the "kids" pasta which was just spaghetti and marinara ... I had the fresh pasta to compare difference and was exactly the same except with thick pieces of bacon. We also ordered the burger which was ok. On the other hand the wine was well selected. We will be coming back for wine only and choose to have dinner somewhere else.

                                Ordering online shows a gluten free crust option, however when we ordered a gluten free pizza at the restaurant, the waiter didn’t say anything until the pizza came out.

I apologize that the server did not communicate this with you, I'll be reminding the staff to be more transparent in the future.
