The patio is so perfect. Birthday dinner, so fun. Great food, ambiance, service. Highly recommend.

I got there about 2 mins early for my reservation, checked in with the host who asked me to wait for my friend before she could seat us. He came within a minute, but then they made us wait more than 15 mins to be seated. They didn’t explain what was taking long— I had to ask what was happening. It was embarrassing because I was on a first date and he thought I didn’t make a reservation. Then they sat us indoors instead out outside, right near the door so it was cold and busy, so instead of a cool fun date it looked poorly planned and bad ambiance/cold. Not worth the $$

What a gem! Will definitely be back here soon. Great happy hour menu, reasonable portions, food and cocktails on point. Great for a date or group of friends!

Crab pasta was the best!

I have only been to Starbelly once before and my partner and I decided to have a dinner date here. We got our own little tent in the front so we felt very safe. The cocktails were delicious- I had the Doctor’s Orders and my partner had an old fashioned. We got French fries, clam chowder, crab pasta and the pizza with chorizo and sunny side up egg. Everything was incredible and so rich without being overwhelming. I gave 4 stars on service because I wish they had checked in once more so we could order a second cocktail but they were surprisingly slammed for a Wednesday. Can’t wait to go back!

Overall - great food - good service. Trying to make it work during COVID - can't ask for much more than that. The drinks could have been better, but otherwise, no real complaints.

Bland food for dishes that should have strong flavors (e.g. chilaquiles); market fruit portion size was comically tiny; fries arrived soggy.

Waiter was handling guests' phones to take group photos for a large group - why do that during COVID? Not very responsible.

Cocktails were good, at least. Have had good pizza there in earlier times but they aren't doing their best work right now.

So many “rules and regulations” about making sure to be at the restaurant within a 10 minute window of the reservation time, taking credit card details to hold the space, etc only to have to stand around for almost 20 minutes waiting to be seated at the empty table that was obviously ours and in full view of us. We then had to wait another 10-15 minutes for our server to pay us any attention. Was a shambles.

The service was terrible. We arrived 20 minutes prior to the menu change and the server said we had to order off the Brunch menu even though it was ending in 20 minutes. We asked to order drinks then order off the dinner menu since the new menu would start by the time we get our drinks. He said "you only have the table till 5" then said ok order drinks then you can order off the next menu. We asked if the heat lamp could be turned on since ours was the only one not working...he never turned it on. We had to ask for our check when we were ready to leave since we never saw the server again .

Excellent, innovative cocktails. Service was incredible. Frequent check ins and friendly staff. The fries are really addictive here. I could definitely eat another bucket of them.

The bacon pizza was great! The back patio is also a really nice spot to sit.

Crab garlic noodle!!!!! Spicy mussels - delicious. Arugula salad was pungent but great intent.

Very much enjoyed my outdoor dining experience! Felt very safe as everyone was wearing masks unless they were eating or drinking, and we were spaced out pretty well, so it didn't feel congested. Also, the food at Starbelly is phenomenal, so I love it!

ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN CALIFORNIA. not even exaggerating. I have been here 4 times, ate something different each time and was never disappointed. The drinks are amazing, staff is super nice and the patio is open. Highly recommend. Great date spot.

Delicious food and really well prepped for COVID!

I've eaten here many times when it was not under quarantine and enjoyed it. I appreciate their efforts in maintaining safety measures. But the host was rather rude in saying that we have 1 hour and 15 minutes before we have to vacate our table (and I made a reservation). Also, the food was HORRIBLE. I had the crab noodles and they were salty, there was no discernible crab pieces and it tasted really bad (and at $29 was expensive!). My friend had the fish tacos which he said were disgusting.

Great outdoor set-up for San Francisco, airy, yet warm. Nice work in era of COVID! Food was great, drinks were AWESOME!

Experience was good but food had some issues. Fried chicken was VERY over cooked, bacon was over cooked, and cherry tomatoes in salad were very not ripe and too hard to eat

Chicken and waffles and cocktails make a perfect brunch. The staff is so friendly and attentive, while keeping strict Covid safety protocols in a matter of fact way. As close as you can get to eating out in the before times. Love this neighborhood gem!

Had to wait 15 minutes despite having a reservation

I was not impressed with the way I was greeted. The server and the boss-boy were excellent. But what made it an unpleasant experience was the greeter, It felt like I was more of an intruder than a guest. The way he stated that there’s limited time to be at the table felt like you are lucky to be here than a welcome. We were in the middle of our meal, and the same greeter came to our table and he said “you have 15 minutes” We packed up our food and waited about 10 minutes to get the bill from the same greeter. . I don’t have an objection of having a limited time to dine but there is a way to communicate it without sounding of putting. Even during Covid times I want to feel welcomed when I go out and dine. Overall the food lacked flavor nothing exciting. We ordered the hamburger it was tasteless, the french fries seemed like they were leftovers from an old potato. The Brussels sprouts were delicious. Overall my experience was not pleasant. I hope things improve because I am happy to see restaurants opening up again.

A great place to dine in COVID times, their back patio was a welcome change from the parklets outside and almost made it feel as though things were normal again. Staff was very attentive and pleasant without being invasive. Food and drink were very good, though a few items we had were a bit on the underseasoned side (I will admit I'm being terribly nitpicky). Definitely recommend the fish tacos and the Starbelly bacon pizza. Will revisit for ambiance alone and would love to dine in the interior dining room once things return to normal (if that ever happens!)

Great food, good value, Don’t skip dessert!

I've had dinner here twice during Covid restrictions. Both times I've been seated in the back patio, which is very safely arranged.
I was here with 2 friends and we shared the brussels sprouts which were excellent.
I had the fish tacos which were good - 2 fish tacos for only $10 and you can add on fries for an additional $2.
We had the rose wine which is on tap. One carafe yields 3 glasses. At $22 that is also good value.
Overall this was good value.
