   Food is really good; portions on the smaller side, but that’s not a bad thing necessarily. It would just depend on how hungry someone is. The cocktails are delicious.

   The food was terrible. My pumpkin soup was tasteless and Luke warm. My friend had a mixed salad with fish. The fish filet was inedible. The texture was so hard you couldn’t even cut it with a knife. On a positive note we were not charged for most of the meal and was given a complimentary glass of wine. Since the noise level in the patio where we were seated was sooo loud we were moved inside where the noise level was manageable. Overall, it was one of the worst dinning experiences I’ve had in the 20 yrs I’ve lived in SF. That said the staff and manager were very kind & as shocked as we were about the quality of the food.

   Always a great experience. My friend & I come here once a month or so, have done so for years. Keep up the good work and supporting your excellent staff.

   Friendly staff, reliably good food, nice neighborhood vibe. Never a bad not hit. Great local place.

   Starbelly is and always has been a favorite of mine. As a former long time resident of SF I made a stop at Starbelly a must upon my return to SF for vacation. As always, the atmosphere was great and the food is a sure win, fresh, tasty, consistent and reliable. Unfortunately our service couldn’t have been worse. We were a party of 6 and it seemed our waiter completely forgot about us once we got our food. People around us came and went and we weren’t even offered as much as a refill on drinks. Finally I flagged down the waiter who then came over to say “what’s going on over here”. It was great to catch up with old friends at a local favorite. It’s just a shame our experience was tainted by such poor service.

    I've eaten here several times and it is hit and miss on service. Was there on a Saturday around 1pm, it was busy (as expected), there was a wait even with a reservation (10 min), but tried to order some wine and the bar and was told by the bartender that we'd have to "wait like 10 min". We never got a drink and when we got seated, we waited 10 more min for a server that never came. In fairness to the server, he was overloaded on tables. The management needs to up the staff during peak periods to handle the rush, because when you do get proper service, the food is delicious.
