    Really disappointing experience. Was seated fairly quickly from our reservation and felt being put in the corner left us forgotten. I am regular at the restaurant and visit several times a year but this had to be the longest I ever had to wait on a dish. By the time my meal arrived I was ready to go after over an hour from ordering. If I had any idea that it was gonna be over an hour for our food I would have ordered an appetizer and not fill up on their bread which was also a sad baguette caked with butter, compared to their normal fresh hot loaf. The portion size was unusually small in my opinion compared to past entrees as well. I asked for my birthday dessert but they brought out something different and just asked for my original requested dessert to go because I hadn’t intended on spending that much of my birthday evening at the restaurant. I know they’re capable of waaaaay better but this was just a really disappointing experience.

    The food and the ambiance was great. Our wait staff was friendly but the wait was ridiculously long. We waited 1.5 hours for our entrees to come out. We’ve been before and the wait was fine. There must have been an issue in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the inconsistency is why I gave it a lower rating.

    Sadly, this isn’t the same restaurant it used to be. It was very busy with prom night which I totally understand, but the food just wasn’t up to par. I had the filet mignon and it was so grossly fatty and not a true filet. It was accompanied by one-half of a very small potato and two asparagus spears. The portions are much smaller than before, and honestly the entrees lacked salt/seasoning and flavor. The salads were good, and the bread (that we had to ask for) was tasty. We made the best of it and didn’t complain because it was a 70th birthday party, but I didn’t feel it was worth the money. They also tack on a charge for a living wage in addition to a tip. Disappointing expensive night out.

    Excellent food! The service was exceptional! Very attentive. Salad was very cold and fresh. Appetizer was yummy and enough for 2. It was both of our birthdays, so we got fantastic dessert. I have nothing bad to say about this. The handicapped parking was front row center. We will most definitely be back. Oh, and the price point was right on. Not too much money for an appetizer, 2 salads, 2 entries with 1 additional extra each, and 2 desserts.

    We were unfortunately sat at a back table far from the view. Shortly after arriving two large parties were seated in the same area. Very noisy and no view took away from the experience. Food & service was a bit slow due to that rush. Beverages came right away but long wait for entrees. Food was just “okay” and pricey. Wish we had asked to be seated outside because that looked nice on a warm evening, and we could have enjoyed conversation without shouting over the large parties.

    Almond crusted scallops appeared deep fried with firm casing of breading surrounding 1/2” slice scallop inside. Staff argued they were grilled on a flat top griddle and they just puffed up to golf ball size.🤣. Roasted chicken Dijon had 1/4” crust on both sides of a 1/4” slice of chicken breast inside. I have photos but no way to add them here. Scott’s in Edmonds does a WAY better job on these 2 entrees. I gave my server my tel # but she failed to submit for reward points. Disappointing meal for just under $100.

    It was a good experience,- friendly staff. Food service was a little slow, the server said the restaurant was short a chef. When our food finally came it was not very hot, the shrimp were over-cooked and tough, salmon and scallops were excellent.

    Our meal, from start to finish, was delicious (special non-alcoholic drinks, yummy appetizer, delicious fresh fish, and key lime pie for the finish). Our waitress, Pualani, was fabulous. She made our meal even more delightful.

    Our server was very friendly but seemed a little deflated after a hard weekend. Husband ordered the salmon because roasted beets sounded delicious. We settled on ordering two accompaniments instead of another entree because nothing else available (they were out of a few entrees) looked appealing. Server informed us the salmon came medium rare and verified we were ok with that. We shared a wedge salad to start and had “pan seared” scallops with a side of asparagus in béarnaise to have with dinner. Wedge salad was the best part. The scallops were deep fried, clearly kept frozen, breaded, and sitting in almond butter. $16 for three scallops. The asparagus was in broken béarnaise with a skin formed on the sauce. $12 for four asparagus. The salmon was WELL DONE and served without beets. I mustered up the courage to ask about the beets because that was why we ordered the salmon. Server seemed surprised they were missing and went to the kitchen to get them for us. Came back to tell us they were out and shrugged it off. No offer to fix or adjust the bill accordingly. ANYTHING to make up for the mass up…even a little charm would have been sufficient. She just walked off when we told her that was WHY we ordered the salmon. We aren’t the sort of people to complain or send food back. So we just laughed off the whole dinner and went home so I could make us a little something there to finish the night. I’ve been in the fine dining industry for 30 years. There is no love left in this kitchen. The food is bland and dated. I would recommend rewriting the menu and serving food the kitchen and waitstaff can be proud of before the enormous volume of bad dining experiences keeps them from luring in new business.

    It was Mother’s Day I understand it was busy. Got seated not long after our reservation. Took about 1 hour 20 minutes to get our food. When my ribeye arrived I asked for medium rare it was clearly medium well. I asked the waiter he took it and said he probbed it it and the temp was right . Witch makes no sense told me to follow him to better lighting to prove it. I didn’t feel like arguing since I had been there for over 2 hours. The steak had no seasoning very bad experience my daughters hamburger was under a heat lamp for who knows how long because the bun looked great but the bun basically shattered like glass when she bit into it. Everyone’s food was cold. All around horrible experience we will not be going back it was sad because had such high hopes

    Ordered rare prime rib, and I received medium well done. Both sides were lukewarm temperature and not hot. Waited one hour and 15 minutes to get my order.  I will not be going back again this year. definitely would not go there for any special occasion.

    We visited Stanley & Seafort's for Mother's Day Brunch. While the food was very good, the service was (once again) less than stellar. The kitchen was overwhelmed and food came out very slowly. Our reservation was scheduled at 11:15, and we did get seated right away, but we waited a while for our drinks and food. When the order came, finally, one brunch item was not prepared as requested. The server offered to replace it, which happened quickly after he spoke to his manager. We overheard someone at the next table say something about one of their orders also being wrong, but one of the women at the table told her fellow diner, "Don't send it back, we don't wait to wait another hour." All in all, the server did an outstanding job in adverse circumstances, but the general manager has to know the kitchen was not turning around orders fast enough. That was a little surprising, since the brunch menu was trimmed considerably for Mother's Day -- probably only eight or so options. I am unsure when we might return. It won't be for Mother's Day, I am sure of that. Since our other recent other experiences also fell short, maybe we will take S&S off the list for future consideration. It's too bad after eating here for decades.

    I love Stanley & Seaforts for happy hour! One of my favorites! I can't recommend it for a Mother's Day brunch though. The whole thing was a let down, especially for the price. They simply were not prepared for the amount of diners. Since reservations were totally booked, they really should have been. It took an hour, 20 min to get our food, the waitress was embarrassed but not really apologetic. The food was *not* up to par as well... Really disappointing. I will continue to go there for happy hours, & maybe try a meal sometime... Just not on a busy holiday.

    We’ve been having Mother’s Day brunch for years and this was THE most disappointing experience we’ve had at Stanley and Seaforts. We had a brunch reservation at 10:15am. Restaurant was not full yet and our food order took 50 minutes after we ordered to get our very basic breakfast order. Very small portions served, especially for the price. My plain english muffin tasted like it was soaked in crab juice and I don’t eat seafood. Sadly this will be our last visit to this restaurant.

    Made a reservation for Mother’s Day brunch at 10:15. We were seated promptly and it was not very busy at the time. Our waitress came over and we ordered drinks. About 10 minutes later we placed our order for brunch. We then proceeded to wait almost 1.5 hours for our food. Our waitress checked on us only twice during this time, once to check our drinks and a 2nd time to tell us our food was almost ready which actually meant about 20 more minutes. The food was very lackluster, 3 of us had Eggs Benedict, one of my eggs was broken, they were served with potatoes that were frozen from a bag. Pretty disappointing, I was under the impression that Stanley and Seafort’s was more of an upscale place. There was zero thought put into this Mother’s Day brunch, most places would have a pastry basket or fruit available for the table. We all couldn’t wait to get out of there and would never choose to go back. Another thing to note, as the morning went by the tables filled in and it was so loud I could barely hear my mother on the other side of the table.

    This is a place where I was really expecting high quality food. My ribeye was tough—probably because the steaks are precooked and then reheated on their grill. That is certainly not the method I would use, and tenderness is the reason why. The prime rib fared a bit better because it is first slow oven roasted, and then reheated on the grill. With the super long wait for our food, I expected food that had been cooked from a fresh and raw state. Also, the desserts we tried were less than we expected. We were hoping for a really good place for steaks—but alas, we will keep driving to Seattle. P.S. with the table setup, the hostess has to reach in front of the customers to serve them. A little bit of “pardon my reach,” goes a long way to reducing the anxiety of someone constantly putting their arm in your face.

    Our server did not check on us after any of our three courses. Nor were we offered a beverage refill. Our service experience was far subpar to past experiences and we hope it is not a change in attention to the customer centric approach of past visits.

    We started with 2 Caesar salads. They were okay. Not my favorite but it was fresh. Then my husband got the blackened cod with jasmine rice and fresh veggies. He thought the whole meal was delicious but not the greatest portion size for the price. I got the ribeye. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection! We also got the white cheddar mac and cheese. It was creamy but needed a touch more seasoning. We ended the meal with the strawberry cheesecake and we were both very impressed. Overall, the atmosphere, view, and quality of food was well worth the visit.

    Fantastic view...even better lobster bisque. My scallops were very good, but took FOREVER to get to me. Expected a better by-the-glass wine list, but their choice of sparkles was very good.

    The restaurant needs some updating. My husband’s meal arrived incomplete and he had to wait about 10 minutes for the remainder of his meal. They also switched two of our parties steaks. For the price I would expect a better experience.
