We went here for Valentines day dinner and decided to order a more casual dinner. My wife had the BBQ ribs and I had the grilled chicken tacos. They both were really good. Our lady server was always around so we had good service. After dinner we went to the lounge area for an after dinner drink. I had a nice pinot and my wife had the chocolate truffle martini for dessert.
I was surprised to spend nearly $100 for dinner and to be told to “Dave my fork” when they took my salad plate! Felt more like a cafe than a dining experience!
Halibut was delicious, husband had Jambalaya which was fine. Desert was nice.
Server was friendly but must have been busy because we did not see him a lot.
Having worked at this location when it opened 26 years ago and knowing how stringent our serving rules were, I found the service was very subpar, our server, while nice, was not knowledgeable of the wine list, many of the menu items but he knew how the cocktail were. I also noticed the table across from us sat dirty, dishes piled up for a good 30 minutes. That would have never been allowed when I was employed there. I felt the menu prices were extremely high, especially in the area this restaurant is located. To pay $17.95 for a BURGER is outrageous as are the salad prices. The prime rib dip was about $8.95 when I worked there and it is now double that.
We made a reservation, showed up on time but still had to wait 15 minutes.
We also found the wine prices were high. A glass of wine for $14.00 is spendy.
We received our food long before our drinks arrived, the store manager brought them to us and let us know they would be comped for taking so long. The server may have been new, but he was very slow. Not the Stanford’s quality that I remember. I was disappointed in our experience.
We were planning a surprise for a friend. Her family from Olympia WA drove down to go to a Blazers game as I know one of the Phoenix players. Her grandson is a big fan and he got to meet the player after the game. You put us in a back room where we could have a good get together before the game. A most enjoyable evening. The service was outstanding. When the server misunderstood the child's order they quickly corrected it and brought him something to snack on while the rest of us started to eat.
The only thing I could taste in the crab/artichoke sandwich was mayonnaise.
Seated at the worst table, even though we had a reservation.
Waiter was fine
We had a large party so it's understandable that it took longer than average. The only reason we went here was because of the proximity to our work location. In Portland, OR you can definitely find better food for a better price.
Always like Stanford's for business lunches. Food is good. Able to have a conversation as the layout is modular which mitigates noise. Service was very good.
Reservation was nor honored after showing up,on time. They said hour wait
We had gotten a gift card from them because the roast beef was so fatty at our last visit. We tried again and once again it was a bad cut of meat. To top it off, the kitchen was understaffed and it took a long time to get served, even though the restaurant was not crowded. This was on a Blazer game night when they should expect a crowd. They were telling customers that they were running an hour wait because of the kitchen. My ribs were excellent.
We love your great service, excellent food and tasty
the food was lousy and the service was very slow
we wont be back!
The glazed sweet balsamic salmon and leeks, on the special items menu, with tiny Brussels Sprouts was excellent. I asked to have the mashed potatoes held, and they poured on the veggie. Will definitely come again.
It’s okay. It’s the best place left to eat at Lloyd Center, which isn’t exactly saying a whole lot.
Everything was perfect and our waitress was amazing!
I was surprised that the filet mignon was perhaps the worst cut I have ever received at a restaurant, not sure that was what it was supposed to be. Desert got both myself and my wife up in the middle of the night sick. Will not be returning for dinner there. I would expect more from a $200+ dinner.
What a disappointment. We always enjoyed Stanford's while eating in the bar area, so we had a birthday and wanted to celebrate in the dining room. They were out of some of the food items on their menu as well as bar items. The manager came by once during our meal to ask how everything was but not afterwards when our server asked if we wanted to see her again. She never came back by. The food was good, but not fantastic (as we expected). Our server was not efficient or readily available. It also appeared that the communication between our server and the bar lacked greatly. All in all, a great disappointing birthday celebration.
Very convenient to park at Lloyd's Center. Comfortable seating, nice booths. Music a bit loud and more modern than I prefer. Had a good Rib Eye steak, cooked a bit more rare than the Medium I asked for.
Good food , ok service
We sat at the exact table that we wanted, with our reservation. Michelle was great. She did everything well. She even took a group picture with two devises when asked. She was efficient and cheerful. The woman that seated our group was great also! Thanks, we will be back again to Stanford's!
Seating was speedy, service was excellent. The food presentation was attractive, good portions (not too large or small) and well-prepared.
