Fish and chips were very good. Hostess was personable and accommodating. Would return.
Love this place!
Food was great. Manager was up front when we got there bumped into my pregnant wife didn’t even say anything. Then I was talking to the front lady about my reservation and the manager lady was putting away the 40+ menus and like pushed me out of her way without even saying one word. Very rude! The waitress was very nice but also only checked on us one time and we waited about 15 mins after we had finished our meal to get a check. Very disappointed in the service. Especially when I wanted to just have a nice dinner date with my wife for Valentine’s Day. But food was great and prices are good for quality of food. Will not be going back to that location again.
Great service. Quiet enough to conduct a business lunch. Food is always good!
Should have a children section. Screaming kids aren't enjoyable. The crab cake Appetizer took 25 min to get to our table and was nearly cold. Also very cold in the back where we were seated.
We've been here off and on for a few yrs. now. We celebrated my husband's 75th birthday and were treated excellently . We will be going back in Aug. for our 45th Anniversary. (3rd trip for anniversary's) The food was great and the service was wonderful.
I love Stanford’s and the service is always the very best! Good ya awesome!! Thank you for being so wonderful!!
Great food and wine
Our server was excellent! Celebrated 2 birthdays. Food was good too.
The staff was friendly and attentive, they were there when needed but not disruptive to the conversation flow. The meals were delivered in a timely fashion with good presentation. The food tasted as expected, and we pleasing.
Excellent food and outstanding service
Great service
I made a reservation not knowing if it would be too busy for a drop in, our plans changed and we showed up 1 your early. The staff excepted the challenge and seated us right away with no problem. The host was accommodating and our waitress as outstanding! I ordered crab cakes for an appetizer and they were good however I do like that hem a little more spiced up. I had the local Columbia river steelhead atop a Romain Cesar salad which was incredible. If you are staying or are near the expo center/ PIR, I recommend this place for an enjoyable experience.
Fabulous meal with chef's special - perfectly prepared and beautiful presentation. Attentive server and outstanding manager checking in after the meal. Dessert list looked amazing, but no room!
Atmosphere was nice and quiet. We were able to have a business conversation without yelling across the table. Nice variety of food on the menu with some choices not seen at other restaurants making the visit unique as opposed to usual chain restaurants
Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Would absolutly visit again when doing business in this area.
If I was a local I would have this on my list of regulars establishments.
Great Job !!!!
New to the area and went here as part of a date night with my wife. First, it’s a nice place. It is popular and stayed busy the entire time we were there. Food was great and the server was seasoned. Overall, great experience. The herb-crusted prime rib was perfect and highly recommended!
Had a 10 person business meeting. Service was fabulous, food was served hot and quickly. Great over all, would do it again.
The food and atmosphere are great, the hostess and wait staff are both friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Great place to eat.
New Years Eve dinner was ok. My companion's prime rib was too rare and he didn't enjoy it. The server was very good and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was quiet and not crowded. We were not greeted by the hostess. She was busy talking to other people. The person who checked us in was busboy and overwhelmed and used a different name from our reservation. The creme brulee dessert was very good. Over all a ok experience.
Chose Stanford’s for New Year’s Eve dinner with family. It was a nice dinner but a little overpriced for the quality of food. Our service was great and overall, we were happy with our choice.
Service was good/we had a waiter in training. My dinner (Chicken Dijon) was too thin and tough with little flavor. We wanted to sit near the front of the restaurant, but ended up a bit too near the door which was cold and drafty. My companions meal was good and the wine was good.
Wonderful to have a Christmas Eve meal. It had started to snow while there and our service was quick so we could be home in good time.
It was a nice experience. I wouldn't order the smoked chicken fettuccini, noodles over cooked, not enough chicken but my family enjoyed their steak. I'd go again...
This was really wonderful! I have many dietary restrictions and the waitress we had was very understanding and helpful as she has some of the same issues. her name is Sherry and I will ask to have her as our server the next time we go. She was extremely pleasant and fun! Very professional.
The atmosphere is great and the food was very good!
Service and food was great but we went for a birthday and was told the dessert would be free for the birthday boy but we were charged for it.
Our server was not attentive to us at all...the food was not the best quality for what we paid for. The hostess forgot to put our name on the list to be seated. I will not be going back!
Always awesome!! And our service and server were more than excellent! Love Stanford’s and that’s why we meet there once a month! 😋
We have been many times and have always had a great experience which is why we brought the in-laws who were in town for thanksgiving. We were sat in the far back of the restaurant, passing dozens of empty booths they sat us next to a very loud group of people. I ordered the $30 ribeye and had to send it back for being way overcooked. They brought a replacement which was now undercooked. Since everyone was waiting on me to eat I didn't say anything. Very disappointed with the overall experience and will be a while if we ever go back.
The Jantzen Beach location is by far the best of the chain.
Good food & service. A bit pricey as you have to order salad separately, should be included in meal.
I have dined there for years. The current owners seem to have recovered from the menu blunders they made when they first took ownership. The ambiance is nice -- especially in the evening.
food was good and so was the service.
But It was a little pricey
I visit Stanford's about once a month when I am in town for business. Consistently great seafood-Salmon, Columbia River steelhead especially, great preparation...and consistently great, friendly, knowledgeable servers...only disappointment was they took the chocolate molten cake off the menu...definitely worth a visit!!
The service was super slow and could not get the order right took 45 Minutes to get a coke other people got seated and got drinks wile we sat and waited for are drinks to come out
Through Ansestry we were connected with a cousin from my dad's side of the family. I had communicated with my cousin via email & learned so much. My cousin who we hadn't met lives in Roseburg OR & she & her husband were comming to Portland for a Dr. appointed & asked if we could meet for lunch at Stanfords Jentzen Beach. Yes we can do that. Two of us from Federal Way WA, one from Lake Tapps & one from Milwaukie OR met at Standfords Jentzen Beach. The get together was wonderful. Lots of laughter shared pictures & look forward to get together again. All the food was delicious and waitress delightful. They allowed us to stay untill about 3:30 so we could visit not knowing why we were staying so long. A big THANK YOU. We talked so much we didn't think about taking pictures.
Very enjoyable dinner! food is awesome!
Service is exceptional. overall a grand experience!
As a vegetarian would love to see more variety. The inside is really getting run down. Nothing has been changed in years and years.
Went to Standfords the first time at the airport. Had a great meal. This time, we celebrated a birthday and all of our meals, plus dessert was fabulous.
Felt like a roadside cafe with overpriced food that was prepackaged and frozen. Menu states 12oz hand-cut ribeye steak and what you get is a 1/2in thick frozen steak that looks like the same one you can buy at Dollar Tree. Overall would not recommend and or return. There food used to be so much better, it was very disappointing.
