Panco-crusted chicken is amazing, every time! Can’t beat steelhead with asparagus as our kid’s favorite meal, either 😄
We went for our 40 Wedding Anniversary and were treated exceptionally well. The wine offered was great by the wine goddess. Food great and got a quiet table just as I asked for. We will be back.
Server was rude, arrogant, unfriendly
Had to ask multi times to refill our water, disappeared at one point had to request someone else to attend to us. Never checked with us to see if anything needed
She needs to get more educated on customer service.
Can’t beat Panko crusted Dijon chicken! Plus, out child just loves steelhead with asparagus for her kid’s meal!
The quality of food has always exceeded my expectations. Tried the drink special and was not to my tasting. Stanford's happily exchanged for something else (no additional charge), much appreciated!
Table of 5, so seated in back. Our server was fabulous and organized. Food came out together and hot, which is not always the case with large parties. Stanford’s is always reliable for a good dining experience!
A little better than expected
Such a wonderful time. This was a get together for sisters - a long time coming. Our waitress was Brandi. She was excellent. Her supervisor stopped by a few times -- wonderfully delightful! We enjoyed them both so much. Could not have been a better evening.
Excellent, as always. Great service. Awesome food.
This was my first visit to a Stanford’s since a very disappointing visit to the Stanford’s in Walnut Creek, CA in April. The interior of the Walnut Creek facility is very time worn and dirty with small bits of trash on the very warn carpet in the lobby area. In that April visit the food arrived only slightly warm, obviously had little or no seasoning and was not nicely presented.
This visit to the Clackamas Stanford’s was completely different. Yes the interior theme is somewhat dated but the restaurant was clean and not heavily warn.
I ordered the fish and chips that were very nicely presented and very flavorful. The best part was that neither the fish fillets or the French fries were greasy, yet they were not too dry.
Our wait person was attentive and very patient with my 97 year old parents, providing very clear descriptions of menu items.
I will return to the Clackamas Stanford’s the next time I visit my parents. I will not be returning to the Walnut Creek Stanford’s.
My sister and her husband wanted to meet for lunch and were coming from another side of town. My hubby (whose birthday it was) and I had lunched at Stanford's before so we suggested Stanford's. Absolutely the best pick we could have done. They had a large dog with them, there was no shady parking, so Stanford's accommodated us at an outside patio table. They provided water for the dog, too! We ordered different items and everyone raved about the quality of the food. The Onion Rings were great..which we have found is NOT a common experience. The lentil soup was superior. My hubby has a tree nut allergy and the server was able to steer him clear of anything that might comprise him. All in all, the service was impeccable, the food awesome and the experience one we keep talking about! I might add my sister is somewhat of a foodie and each offering passed the taste test with flying colors. Will we be back? Not only "yes" ..but "HELL, YES"!
Date with my Granddaughter! We were not pressured to hurry or leave which was wonderful as we were able to visit and spend time planning a
Meetup with her boyfriend who is in the Marines! Just a 3 hr. early dinner. Thank you!
Excellent meal & experience
Was nice, but hard for older ones to hear with the background music.
Went for dinner on our final night in Portland. The service was awesome, food came out fast and was cooked perfectly. There were 5 in our party. NY Strip, Rib Eye, Prime Rib, Fish n Chips, and Shrimp & Lettuce roll ups, everyone was happy with their meal! Definitely recommend!
Sarah our server was great. She was attentive and personable.
Hubby and I stopped in for a quick bite and little QT. Great food nice atmosphere and ambiance.
Great meal steak was prefect
I doubt I will return to this restaurant. It seems that every time I eat here I leave disappointment. This time 4 of the 7 people in my party experienced stomach issues within a couple of hours after eating. In addition, the value just isn't there. I ordered a 7 oz steak which came with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak may have been 7oz prior to cooking but it certainly was 7 oz cooked. The mashed potatoes had something else mixed in (maybe blue cheese or...?) that was disgusting. Steak was cooked correctly and the asparagus was good. Also ordered the Calamari appetizer which was expensive given the actual amount of Calamari served. The waitress was wonderful.
I do have concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen.
We always enjoy Stanfords. The food is better than good, it’s fine dining at a reasonable price. It’s quiet but always busy. The staff is always happy, & very quick & polite. I don’t think I’ve had a bad experience at Stanfords. The only thing I might offer is that for the Easter brunch, they should consider adding roasted or fried potatoes to go with the bacon & eggs. Perhaps add celery to the Bloody Mary, skip the pepperoni, & use only small peppers. (Take a cue from Henry’s!) Happy experience as always.
We went to honor my father's 64th birthday; the service was excellent as was the food. Would absolutely visit again (and the Happy Hour looks great!).
Best French Dip sandwich I have ever ate! The ribs were also excellent. Stanford's never disappoints us
Only disappointment was to be seated by a very large group that was noisy with little kids running around.
Came for the crab cakes more like a muffin of stove top dressing with tiny pieces of crab thick and dry took one of the cakes and opened it just to see how much crab it contains less than half of teaspoon yuck was terrible otherwise other food was average but great excellent service probably wouldn’t never return
Great food as always!
Food was wonderful ! We all ordered off the brunch menu and loved the warm oozy cinnamon rolls. Our two college-age grandkids ate every bite, However my husband and I could only eat half our breakfast and are looking forward to the other half tonight.
Waitress was extremely helpful and had suggestions to accommodate our diet. The food was fresh, tasty, and prompt. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Super friendly and she made our experience much more enjoyable.
Food, ambiance was excellent! Our Server, Kimberly was great! She’s a wonderful representative of Stanford’s. She’s very friendly and hard working!
Excellent Chicken Linguini pasta dish and other imaginative specials. Great salads.
We had a very enjoyable breakfast/lunch. Our server was spot on and always there to see for our needs and gave great recommendations. We even had a 4 year old and 11 month old and she was amazing with them. We will definitely be back and recommend your restaurant.
This is a great place to eat.
I spent a couple hours at Stanford's on Monday night. The service was well timed and friendly and the chicken fajitas were delicious!
Another great experience at Stanford's Clackamas location. We were seated very quickly after checking in. Our waitress, Kim was excellent! Kim was intuitive to us and delivered the perfect service. The food was good, not spectacular, but good. Overall a great experience once again.
It would of been nice to have more roasted vegetables options. Our waitress was wonderful. Enjoyed our dinner !
Our waitress was really sweet and super busy, but she went out of her way to move us to a more private table after being seated really close to another couple.
Emilie, Thank you for the wonderful review and 5 stars! We always appreciate it when our guests take the time to let us how we are doing. We hope to see you again soon.
Great service. The table they seated us at first wasn't that great. But then they gave us a booth with romantic ambiance. Will definitely go back.
Val, Thank you for the great review and 5 star rating, we truly appreciate it. Please come again soon.
I would recommend Stanfords, but I would also tell people my meal was Lukewarm and a bit over priced.
Our server was outstanding and the food was very good also. We were in from out of town and was looking for a nice, comfortable and casual place to eat with great food.
fish and chips. fish was really greasy, fry grease was at the wrong temp and cooked too long. Fries were great. food here is above average most of the time. Waitress was great!! Great wine
Food was served quickly, and was DElicious. A noisy table next to us made it hard to hear voices at our own table at times, but it waa bearable. Our waiter was good and professional, but appeared to be stretched over tables far apart, so it was hard to catch his attention. Overall, we had great food and good service, which everyone expects and enjoys at Stanford's. Only recommended change; lower the price of food 10 ro 15%. Thanks.
