Pretty fair price. Food was nothing to rave about good or bad. it is a bit odd that every cup of tea is a different size as they do not have enough mugs per server.

I took my husband for his birthday and we had the best dinner! The moment you walk into the restaurant you feel like you are really experiencing Texas. The menu is so interesting and has so many different options every one can find something perfect for them. They even brought out a birthday dessert free of charge! I would definitely recommend Stampede 66 for anyone wanting a unique and delicious dining experience.

The chef with the blonde hair left presents. Upon arrival, there were blonde hair strands on my napkin. Also, there were multiple hairs in my vegetarian dish that was prepared for me. I opted to settle for the French fries after my stomach turning. Maybe if her bun was manicured, the shedding ends would not make it to the food and tables.

The service was very slow, but the manager truly made up for it. He came over to our table and comped us a beverage without us having to complain. My son had the steak and I had the chicken. Both were very good. I loved how they served the Caesar salad in a Parmesan wrap.
We will return.

Service was terrible. $125 bottle of wine served at temperature that felt like it had been sitting under a warming light. Food was interesting but not great. Filet was ordered medium rare and came out cool. Waiter didn't even come by to ask if it was cooked right. Overall, felt like a cheap Vegas experience and not a higher end Dallas restaurant.

Great service, quiet(great booth),ambiance. Excellent food and wine. Loved the beer bread appetizer. Good place to take visitors also. Very Texas but not corny. Loved the background (soft country)music.

The wasn't offensive, but certainly not tasty. The trio of dips included a black bean dip which was exactly like it sounds, a guacamole that had warmed on its iron server, and a "pimento cheese" that was simply liquid nacho cheese studded with pimentos, not the labor of love that is Southern caviar.
Entrees were equally unimpressive - the meat loaf was a greasy mess, the mac and cheese was ho-hum, and the chicken fried steak disappeared into a pool of red pepper sauce over mashed potatoes.

Went with my family for a special dinner and the food and atmosphere was fun and authentic. Great for people who want to celebrate a special event with a Texas feel to it. The longhorns on the wall were really cool!

We thoroughly enjoyed Stampede66 and will be back. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had the salmon. Both were excellent with creative preparations. The shiner beer bread was superb as well. There were numerous other menu options that we hope to try on future visits.

The Sunday Supper at $38 is a pretty good deal. You get one of everything, which includes like 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, 4 sides, and then you finish with two desserts. If you are picky, this won't be a good option for you; however, that was not a concern for me. I really liked most of the courses. For the appetizers, the fried mozzarella was great. Ours came with a steak taco, instead of a fish taco, but it was good nonetheless. For entrees, I especially enjoyed the teres major steak! The honey fried chicken was great, but the portions are not consistent. The fish was good, but it was the least favorable among my group. The sides were all good, though I wished the biscuits would have came with butter or sauce. Lastly, after all this goodness, we arrived at dessert, which was a bit of a let down. The brownie was dry and boring. Boxed brownie mix would have been better. The banana bread pudding was better, but not great. In summary, you get a lot of good, a huge variety , and at a decent price. We all left stuffed and satisfied.

We asked for salads...the waiter took them to another table, and then back to the kitchen. He forgot he had placed the ordered for us. Our friend ordered a medium steak they brought it rare. He had to send it back and it still wasn’t right. During that time his mashed potatoes were cold to eat. Another guest ordered duck, it came out uncooked. It also had to be sent back to be cook.

We paid $85 on food that needed to be sent back.

The service was absolutely OUTSTANDING. I informed the restaurant ahead of time that we were celebrating my friend's bachelorette and they made sure to treat us EXTRA special! There was complimentary champagne, a DELICIOUS and unique deviled eggs appetizer, and then at the end they also treated us to complimentary brownie bites, which were SO scrumptious. We had 3-4 small plates (tacos, tamales, a salad, and the trio dips) to share among the 4 of us, which was perfect! Our server was friendly, considerate, and not overly-attentive. The atmosphere has this lodge-like and rustic feel to it. Very warm and inviting. Big half-circle booths perfect for 4-5 people. Only thing is the toppings aren't very much for the tapas and the salsa wasn't spicy at all, which I love my spice! Overall, would highly recommend this place!

Valet wouldn't park my car because they said it was too late restaurant closed, although I had 10:15 reservation. Only 2 guys on duty and one was downright rude. I ended up parking my car across the street. Come to find out, the restaurant kitchen was closing and Open Table shouldn't have allowed me to reserve table for 10:15. The service was really good even though we had to rush to order , but I was in such a foul mood after the valet fiasco, the dining experience was pretty much not going to be what I was hoping for. I have been to Stampede 66, a couple of times and it's a good choice but after this visit probably won't be going back for another visit.

I can't believe I've waiting this long to go to Stampede 66. The food, ambiance and service were amazing. They ran out of guacamole, but that was OK because everything else made up for it (Chicken-Fried Buffalo Steak, 24-Hour Sous Vide Hangar Steak, Mexican Cornbread, Mixed Pickle Jar and Heaven and Hell Cake). The presentation of the Shiner Bok Beer Bread with jam was the highlight - the waiter brought the can of beer to the table, tapped on the top, cracked opened the tab and out slid the most delicious beer bread I've ever had!

Wonderful food, very creative twist on southern favorites. A little pricey for portion size. Attentive staff, however, on our Friday evening little things like firgotten butter took a bit longer to get. Valet parking (complementary for dinner) made access easy.

Stampede 66 is simply outstanding and the staff was great at taking care of us on Monday. There were a lot of "bests". Best iced tea, best Caesar salad, best croutons, and best fried chicken ever. It was my wife's birthday, and they were nice enough to bring us some longhorn-shaped shortbread cookies to complete a perfect meal.

Nice looking place. Service could have been a little more attentive. Husband didn't care on how food is served on the plate - with steak on bottom and 2 sides sitting on top of steak on a rather small plate.

It was just OK - food for one of us (out of three) was very good - brisket, which was much anticipated, was just so so. However, butterscotch dessert was super. Would return for the dessert but the rest was nothing to write home about. Service was pleasant and friendly - rest room clean and kitchy. They got us in and out in plenty of time to get to our show which was good. But I will choose somewhere else for the next excursion before a show downtown.

We've dined here several times. It's a little pricey, but in general the food is worth it. The place looks really cool, authentic Texas décor, Longhorns hanging from the ceiling, etc. Drinks are outstanding. Food has been very good in the past, though we weren't wowed with this visit. Maybe just didn't order the right thing this time. In the past, I've ordered the bacon-wrapped meatloaf and it was a near-religious experience.

First off, I'm a huge fan of Chef Stephan Pyles and his restaurants. Earlier in the week we dined at Flora Street Cafe and it was outstanding. Everything was wonderful; food, service, and atmosphere. Stampede 66 on the other hand, needs to improve their service. The food is still outstanding though.
