Love the meatloaf!
Our first visit. Amazed with the Sunday tasting menu; really good food and lots of it. We especially liked the grilled Caesar salad, the squab fennel salad, honey fried chicken, rhubarb pie and the chocolate cake.
Loved it!! We had a friend in town and it was the perfect place for post sight-seeing downtown!!
Amazing food and service as always!
Great food, great service. Loved everything!
Food great..drinks yummy if a bit pricy
Our server, sorry I can never recall their names if I don’t right the review immediately after, was fun and energetic. She took great care of us, helped us figure out exactly what we wanted and the food got to the table precisely when we were done with our appetizers. We had a great time, and look forward to return when we can look at the large list of drinks.(My girlfriend and I are 20y/o)
Organized a work colleague dinner after a set of meetings. Got seated in a large high-backed booth that comfortably held us all right by the open kitchen so we could see some of what was happening as food was being cooked/prepared. Food choices were good - bacon-wrapped meatloaf, tomahawk ribeye, several fish dishes. We had some of the delicious tamales for appetizers as well. Overall, great food, good atmosphere, attentive service - a good experience.
It was awesome
We requested to be transferred to a sofa corner seating but was not granted. Later found out that it was reserved for a teen couple. Food was okay, nice ambiance and service was okay.
We have been to several of Stephen Pyles restaurants before but this one was not as good. The food was fine but not great. The service was good but the waiter seemed uninformed about items on the menu. We will not return.
Awesome food, awesome service!
The food was good, a little overpriced. We did not enjoy the butterscotch pudding, we thought it was more like caramel sauce and there was very little of that , most of the jar was whipped cream. The service was very good.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas. Always excellent.
Great place I have told several friends about the place I'm planning on going back to soon as I can
My fault - but that Tortilla soup is scorching.
Very unique Texas setting with great service and wonderful food. The table prepared margaritas are a must. Great place to take out of town visitors.
Terrible experience! We were very disappointed. No one should have to wait two hours and still not have food. It also took 30 minuets just to get our first bar order. Finally, we had enough and told the manager that we were leaving. To the manager's credit, he did not charge us for our bar tab. Other customers around us were also unhappy about the wait. We left and went to another place around the corner and were eating in less than 15 minuets. I don't think we will go back. We went there to listen to Dave Alexander. The music and atmosphere were great... just wished the food and service were up to par.
Familu birthday celebration
Great night, food was ok. Wife not a foodie so really didn’t enjoy.
We took my friend here for her 30th birthday. The food was incredibly delicious. We loved the Mexican/southern fusion. The beer bread was probably my favorite. But the Brussel sprouts were also on point. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food with a very unique menu. I Travel to Dallas twice a year for business, I was tired of the same old Dallas restaurants. Took a chance on this restaurant after seeing photos and reading reviews. The restaurant had a cool vibe with Frog sconces and a Tree in the middle of the restaurant inside a color changing dome. I can't wait to go back. The service was the best I've had in Dallas as well.
Service was slow. Table side margaritas took foreverrrrrr and were too solid.
The food was fantastic. We are here before heading to the Dallas symphony. Parking was easy. We will make it a regular on symphony nights!
We’ve tried eating here several times for lunch and dinner, always giving it the benefit of the doubt due to our love of other Pyles restaurants, but Stampede 66 always fails us. We stopped in at 7:30 and were immediately seated for our reservation which was a good sign. Service was then exceptionally slow. At one point, we sat with menus still on the table and discussed whether we should switch restaurants, but we finally managed to track down our waiter so we could order. Thirty minutes after we had placed our order, our waiter stopped by to inform us that our food hadn’t been started yet and asked if he could bring out some mac and cheese for the younger member of our table while we waited. We were still fifth in line just to get our food started (a rather odd thing to admit, we thought). Our bread order also could not be completed because they were out of cornbread. We asked a manager if there were problems in the kitchen and were told that the kitchen was running smoothly. So, why were we so delayed and how could cornbread be unavailable? It took over 45 minutes to get four main entrees out after we had placed our order. Once the food arrived, it just wasn’t that good. The shrimp was good on the shrimp and grits, but the grits were too thin to eat with a fork and no spoon was ever brought out. One person even questioned if there were actually grits or just sauce. The chicken fried buffalo arrived without all of its sides/toppers. Those had to be brought out in bowls when we caught a server to ask about it. The meatloaf didn’t meet the expectations of those who ordered it.
Fantastic from the moment you arrive and the valet greets you throughout the entire evening.
You have to try the table side margarita. They use prickly pear juice, two types of tequila, and liquid nitrogen to freeze it. Then its topped with lime cream and candied jalapenos. We shared one for our dessert. Tenderloin was so tender and loaded mash potatoes were wonderful.
Two glasses had lipstick marks on the rim. Beer took about 20 min to serve. The duck was over cooked and the country fried chicken buffalo was over breaded.
We had to send our lunch salmon choice back for poor quality. But the management took care of everything. Appreciate it.
Ordered the Sunday Supper. It’s a little pricey, but you get big portions which makes it worth it. The service was great and I enjoyed the live band.
