Taco salad was awful. Too much meat w wilted lettuce under it w more sauce on top.
It should have been sent back. But I didn't.

Fabulous ambiance, Fabulous service, Fabulous food!

We arrived approx 30 minute before our 7:45 diner reservation. Valet was quick to get our car checked in and the host was professional and very pleasant.

The restaurant had a nice open space feel with soft lighting and music providing a sense of intimacy perfect for dining.

We started our evening and ended up spending our evening at the bar where Ian provided perfect drinks and top shelf service mix with his amazing charm and personality. We asked him to let the host know that we be dining at his bar and that they should no longer hold our table.

Ian then hit the ball out of the park with his suggested menu items!

Diner and the entire evening was one we are not soon to forget.

We will be back to Stampede 66 soon with friends!

Sweet potato wild boar barbacoa tamales are a must try! The bacon wrapped meatloaf was also outstanding. Excellent, rich flavor! Atmosphere was creative and service was attentive and individualized. I will be back!

Worst steak I have ever eaten, tasted like shoe leather. The brisket was dry and stringy. We brought out of town friends here what a disappointment. Way to pricey for bad food

Stampede has a small but very selective menu. I had the Seared Salmon, which was perfectly cooked. The Quinoa salad was awesome. It was my first time there. I was impressed. The atmosphere was really cozy.

We came to stampede 66 for my parents anniversary. The restaurant did an amazing job of acknowledging their anniversary and even gave us a free appetizer and dessert. This was much appreciated!

What a treat! We were in Dallas for a day, and as a foodie I did a lot of research on local chefs before deciding on Stampede for our dinner. Our waitress could not have been nicer, explaining everything and making some stellar recommendations. We ordered three starters to share - all of which are not to be missed if you can: the Shiner Bock beer bread (served in the can!), the Hell's eggs (spicy) and the homemade mixed pickles. I treated myself to the tenderloin, which fell apart like butter, but my husband's choice of the sous vide hangar steak won the night - able to be cut with just a fork. Simply outstanding. My adventurous eater of a son went for the striped bass and cleaned his plate.

From start to finish, a fabulous meal with great atmosphere and attentive service.

SP's take on traditional Southern Fair was wonderful again! I took my wife here for her birthday and we really enjoyed it. The wife ordered a Striped Bass, on top of a Grits griddle cake, topped off with some crab meat. Best bass we both have ever tasted! I ordered the 24 hour sous-vid Hanger Steak. It came with a elote like corn side and some pickled green beans that were then fried. Steak was tender as can be with wonderful flavor. Desert was a pecan pie. Pie wasn't exactly what we expected, but wasn't bad. We would go again. Drinks were some good red wine and the Western Sazerac. Very good!

We arrived at 5:15pm (15 min early) and were told to wait at the bar since the restaurant wasn’t open until 5:30pm.

We were seated shortly after 5:30pm after I returned to the host stand to request seating. We then waited quite a while for a waitress to come over. Once she arrived our service was decent but this whole place is now very ‘low energy’ and seems like it’s getting ready to shut down.

Don’t think we would be back.

I took my husband for his birthday and we had the best dinner! The moment you walk into the restaurant you feel like you are really experiencing Texas. The menu is so interesting and has so many different options every one can find something perfect for them. They even brought out a birthday dessert free of charge! I would definitely recommend Stampede 66 for anyone wanting a unique and delicious dining experience.

The chef with the blonde hair left presents. Upon arrival, there were blonde hair strands on my napkin. Also, there were multiple hairs in my vegetarian dish that was prepared for me. I opted to settle for the French fries after my stomach turning. Maybe if her bun was manicured, the shedding ends would not make it to the food and tables.

The service was very slow, but the manager truly made up for it. He came over to our table and comped us a beverage without us having to complain. My son had the steak and I had the chicken. Both were very good. I loved how they served the Caesar salad in a Parmesan wrap.
We will return.

Service was terrible. $125 bottle of wine served at temperature that felt like it had been sitting under a warming light. Food was interesting but not great. Filet was ordered medium rare and came out cool. Waiter didn't even come by to ask if it was cooked right. Overall, felt like a cheap Vegas experience and not a higher end Dallas restaurant.

The wasn't offensive, but certainly not tasty. The trio of dips included a black bean dip which was exactly like it sounds, a guacamole that had warmed on its iron server, and a "pimento cheese" that was simply liquid nacho cheese studded with pimentos, not the labor of love that is Southern caviar.
Entrees were equally unimpressive - the meat loaf was a greasy mess, the mac and cheese was ho-hum, and the chicken fried steak disappeared into a pool of red pepper sauce over mashed potatoes.

The Sunday Supper at $38 is a pretty good deal. You get one of everything, which includes like 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, 4 sides, and then you finish with two desserts. If you are picky, this won't be a good option for you; however, that was not a concern for me. I really liked most of the courses. For the appetizers, the fried mozzarella was great. Ours came with a steak taco, instead of a fish taco, but it was good nonetheless. For entrees, I especially enjoyed the teres major steak! The honey fried chicken was great, but the portions are not consistent. The fish was good, but it was the least favorable among my group. The sides were all good, though I wished the biscuits would have came with butter or sauce. Lastly, after all this goodness, we arrived at dessert, which was a bit of a let down. The brownie was dry and boring. Boxed brownie mix would have been better. The banana bread pudding was better, but not great. In summary, you get a lot of good, a huge variety , and at a decent price. We all left stuffed and satisfied.

We asked for salads...the waiter took them to another table, and then back to the kitchen. He forgot he had placed the ordered for us. Our friend ordered a medium steak they brought it rare. He had to send it back and it still wasn’t right. During that time his mashed potatoes were cold to eat. Another guest ordered duck, it came out uncooked. It also had to be sent back to be cook.

We paid $85 on food that needed to be sent back.

The service was absolutely OUTSTANDING. I informed the restaurant ahead of time that we were celebrating my friend's bachelorette and they made sure to treat us EXTRA special! There was complimentary champagne, a DELICIOUS and unique deviled eggs appetizer, and then at the end they also treated us to complimentary brownie bites, which were SO scrumptious. We had 3-4 small plates (tacos, tamales, a salad, and the trio dips) to share among the 4 of us, which was perfect! Our server was friendly, considerate, and not overly-attentive. The atmosphere has this lodge-like and rustic feel to it. Very warm and inviting. Big half-circle booths perfect for 4-5 people. Only thing is the toppings aren't very much for the tapas and the salsa wasn't spicy at all, which I love my spice! Overall, would highly recommend this place!

Valet wouldn't park my car because they said it was too late restaurant closed, although I had 10:15 reservation. Only 2 guys on duty and one was downright rude. I ended up parking my car across the street. Come to find out, the restaurant kitchen was closing and Open Table shouldn't have allowed me to reserve table for 10:15. The service was really good even though we had to rush to order , but I was in such a foul mood after the valet fiasco, the dining experience was pretty much not going to be what I was hoping for. I have been to Stampede 66, a couple of times and it's a good choice but after this visit probably won't be going back for another visit.
