That fried chicken was gross, very bland.i would of definitely would have been satisfied with Popeyes.frfr lol...
Good às always! Took an out-of-Towner. They loved it!
Daughter committed to University of Hawaii. It was on the reservation but no one acknowledged it.
The honey fried chicken, oh lord.
It was a good meeting place on short notice for our large group in town for a conference; especially since it was St. Patrick's Day.
We stopped by Stampede 66 before the TexasTech basketball game. The food was delicious- especially the brisket tacos! Beautifully decorated and really interesting and unique T dad cuisine and varying price points! Something for everyone! We would recommend and plan on returning!!!
I made reservations at Stampede 66 for my 32nd BIRTHDAY and I can honestly say this was by far one of the best dinning experience I've had. From the moment I arrived the people at Stampede 66 were being extremely nice.... I would like to thank Lizzie for the amazing service you were so friendly....Porsha thank you for the margarita....omg those were good!!! The food was also good....I had the buffalo chicken fried steak with the loaded mashed and Mac and cheese all I can see is mmmmm mmmmm good...lol...the food that I had did have a little spice kick however that is what I enjoy so if you don't please be mindful of it.......Thank you again to everyone at Stampede 66 for helping me celebrate my birthday 3.16.2018
Great meal and super cool vibe. Would recommend in the future
We had a great dinner. Food was very good and the service amazing. Oscar was awesome.
It was my husbands birthday and we had a wonderful time! Everything our server recommended was AMAZINGLY DELICOUS ! Drinks were delicous! Yes, you have to go!
Everything was great except the time we have to wait for the waiter to take our order. We did tell her to give us a minute but not 10-15 minutes
We enjoyed our visit this past weekend. Food was great and our server was adorable. The frozen prickly pear margarita was AmAzInG!!! You must try it. The brisket melts in your mouth. Valet park (complimentary), it's much easier. We will return.
We went here as part of my sister's bachelorette party. The menu had a good mixture of food options & prices and they were able to accommodate a gluten-free request. Note, a lot of the food has a bit of spice to it.
Actually quite baffled at how lackluster our experience was tonight at Stampede 66. We are long-time Pyles' fans, particularly of Flora Street. That said, our "Sunday Supper" was not remotely close to the level of dining we've come to expect from a chef of this caliber. At $38 per person, the Sunday Supper sampling seemed like a bargain. Deviled eggs were almost flavorless except for too much heat. Chorizo tacos tasted somehow "gamy." Pork was ok - about the level of Dickey's. Fried chicken had great texture and a nice sweetness, but was ruined by an overly salty brine. Shrimp were well-seasoned, but slightly under-cooked. Chocolate desert was literally like something from the Whole Foods cookie bar. Creme brulee was... actually amazing. One of the best ever. But that was it. The server was nice, but way out of his league for such a nice restaurant. What appeared to be a manager approached our table - I assumed to ask how we were doing - then oddly turned away from us and never spoke. Awkward... The finish-out is very well done. Everything else was just embarrassing.
The Shiner Bock beer bread was both delicious and creative. We really enjoyed the apple jalapeño jelly. I had the 24 hour sous vide hanger steak. It was tender and flavorful. The esquites (corn with spices) was amazing. Others at dinner had the chicken-fried buffalo steak and the brisket. They were similarly pleased.
The atomosphere and the service at Stampede 66 were terrific.
The wait staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a good birthday celebration
serving the decorated birthday cake we brought in from a bakery.
However, our main entrees overall were just average, with the exception of the chicken fried steak.
Went for a birthday and it was so fun! Great service with great birthday surprises! The staff was so attentive. Highly recommend
Stampede 66 was fantastic! The restaurant, food and service exceeded our expectations!! We'll definitely be back!
Excellent service. Great food.
The service was not up-to-par for this type of restaurant. My wife got her cocktail at least 5 mins before mine showed up. We ordered a bottle of wine which came well after we received our entrees. My wife got shrimp & grits and it was not what she was expecting, it is not your typical shrimp & grits. I ordered the bacon meatloaf and was not expecting chorizo to be the main flavor. And the macaroni & cheese was nothing to right home about. Now for the ceasar salad, this is one fabulous salad, very tasty, a must for everyone to try!
I have been to stampede many times and have always loved. This time the service was terrible. We waited 1 hour before the waitress took our order for dinner.
Food was great, atmosphere was great, but unfortunately the service was not. We sat for over 10 minutes before my husband got up and asked if we had a waiter. We had not even received water or asked if we wanted a drink. The restaurant did not appear to be overly busy. Once we ordered drinks, there was a long break before we received them. This happened twice. Took quite a while for the check too. Half our party had to leave to get to the concert on time. The other half stayed behind to pay. Very disappointed in the service for the amount we spend there.
Had a business meal with clients from it of town. Great experience for them. Good food.
The Margarita mixed at the table with dry ice was probably the best we have ever tasted. Enchilada soup was OK--buffalo fried steak was excellent.
Love the meatloaf!
Food was amazing! Loved the striped bass! Moscow mules delish too!!
Our first visit. Amazed with the Sunday tasting menu; really good food and lots of it. We especially liked the grilled Caesar salad, the squab fennel salad, honey fried chicken, rhubarb pie and the chocolate cake.
Loved it!! We had a friend in town and it was the perfect place for post sight-seeing downtown!!
Expected more out of the quality of the food, not that it didn't taste good. Would recommend investing in a more charismatic host, and ensuring servers aren't spread thin. My wife and I went long stretches w/out drink (water/tea) refills.
Great décor though.
Amazing food and service as always!
Great food, great service. Loved everything!
Food great..drinks yummy if a bit pricy
Our server, sorry I can never recall their names if I don’t right the review immediately after, was fun and energetic. She took great care of us, helped us figure out exactly what we wanted and the food got to the table precisely when we were done with our appetizers. We had a great time, and look forward to return when we can look at the large list of drinks.(My girlfriend and I are 20y/o)
Organized a work colleague dinner after a set of meetings. Got seated in a large high-backed booth that comfortably held us all right by the open kitchen so we could see some of what was happening as food was being cooked/prepared. Food choices were good - bacon-wrapped meatloaf, tomahawk ribeye, several fish dishes. We had some of the delicious tamales for appetizers as well. Overall, great food, good atmosphere, attentive service - a good experience.
It was awesome
We requested to be transferred to a sofa corner seating but was not granted. Later found out that it was reserved for a teen couple. Food was okay, nice ambiance and service was okay.
We have been to several of Stephen Pyles restaurants before but this one was not as good. The food was fine but not great. The service was good but the waiter seemed uninformed about items on the menu. We will not return.
Awesome food, awesome service!
The food was good, a little overpriced. We did not enjoy the butterscotch pudding, we thought it was more like caramel sauce and there was very little of that , most of the jar was whipped cream. The service was very good.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas. Always excellent.
