My husband and I have not gone out in quite some time since we have a little one at home and boy were we pleasantly surprised. Former New Brunswick residents and Steakhouse 85 enthusiasts, we couldn't get a reservation at 85. We decided to take a chance at Stage Left Steak and I'm super happy we did. Choices were great, even better was that my steak was cooked to absolute perfection and so flavorful. It didnt even need the chipotle lime butter to accompany; however, that was super tasty and happy I tried it. In addition, the sides were awesome! Steak fries were super crisp so if you don't enjoy something more well done I suggest staying away. The parmesan gratin potato side comes in perfectly sliced on the mandolin piles and tasted just as good today when I finished the leftover for lunch. Also tried grilled asparagus and they were yum, yum, yum in my tum. Paired with a nice pinot noir and the other half had a Jameson on the rocks. I was stuffed but when you don't get to go out often any more got the toffee pudding dessert. Super sweet, and amazingly delightful the caramelized nuts and sauce served in for reminiscent of the bread puddings I had down in New Orleans. The only downside was I would have liked it a little darker, more candlelight-esque in there. More like the ambiance in Catherine lombardi's although I'm super happy we weren't seated right by the door as I hate that! Happy that we ended up here in the end. It was super delicious!

I don’t really understand this place. I feel like location is the biggest component it has going for it bc it’s overpriced and disjointed. Paper menus? Burger was flavorless and cooked improperly. Same for the steak. Potatoes too. What’s going on here? I shouldn’t have to season food when I’m paying more than a weeks worth of groceries for it. Server was all over the place and the martinis were on the small side. The server also removed drinks too soon. Really? It was just all a solid “meh” and didn’t meet my standards at all.

We had a great time at Stage Left. All of us had the burgers and they were delicious! So was the bottle of Pinot Noir that we ordered with the burgers! The restaurant is beautiful, the service was terrific, and the food was great - we will definitely be back!

The service and ambiance were very nice...however, $115 for a porterhouse that was not seasoned at ALL was disappointing to say the least !.....the Texas toast with bone marrow was a a disappointment as might as well been buttered toast ...because that's what it tastes like....the bone marrow was almost negligible....I never mind paying $240 for a meal if the food is delicious...stage left food was not in keeping with the price we paid !!
