We do have a limited amount of reservations available for outdoor & indoor dining. If you are able to book a reservation for "Outdoor" it will be accommodated, however, if you just type it in the notes, we may not be able to accommodate you.

5 star prices for a 2 star meal is not what we expected.
Open table should update its description of this restaurant. We were prepared for the overpriced food, but there is no valet parking, football jerseys are considered "dressy casual" attire and the noise and loud music drowned out any chance of having a conversation. The food, service and ambience are below average and the prices exorbitant. Staff and management were very nice and polite, but did not make up for a $79 lamb chop that was big but certainly not special, a $15 glass of average wine, four salads ordered, none served, and appetizers served one at a time! We understand that covid has upended the restaurant business, and we're OK with slow service and limited food options. But this place got nothing right. However, they didn't rush us and gave us a credit for food not served. Thus, the two stars.
Food was not what I expected…. My date and I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and fried calamari for appetizers and not impressed… the calamari came out cold …. The mushrooms were ok … we ordered the porterhouse steak for 2 as our entre and not impressed either. Pretty much it’s just expensive but the food it’s not even exciting. The best food I had was their garlic bread, it was delicious.. Very disappointed .
Absolutely fabulous Friday night out. Great food, service and a live singer added to the overall ambiance. Highly recommend Stage Left
Had another wonderful experience at Stage Left. As always the food was great. Especially magical was Solomon Hicks guitar and singing--he may be the most talented musician to play New Brunswick since Brian Fallon--different vibe, of course, though I suspect Hicks can play any genre.
Excellent food and service
We had a wonderful time with friends last night at Stage Left. It has been a while since we have eaten at any restaurant. The food, as usual, was excellent as was the friendly service.
I would like to make one important comment. There were very few servers wearing masks. Although we were sitting outside, the servers need to constantly go in and out of the restaurant and should be wearing masks. Please consider having your serving staff wear masks whether indoors or out.

Please know that nearly all of our staff has been double-vaccinated and only vaccinated people have been given a choice as to whether or not to wear masks. New Brunswick also offers free weekly covid testing and our staff is tested on a nearly weekly basis. We take your concerns very seriously and consider one our mandates to be keeping our customers safe.
Catherine Lombardi menu is also available so "win-win" for steak lovers and those who prefer something else! Very attentive staff, too!

The food went well above and beyond what I was expecting. My waygu ribeye (American waygu) was some of the best I’ve had in the US. Cooked perfectly, sliced thin, with the hot stone. It was fantastic. Every other facet of the meal was spot on.
The service could have been more attentive, but overall it was okay. It’s possible the worker shortages in the restaurant industry had something to do with this.
We had a husband and wife date night. This is our second time there for such a date. Would return again. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. And it was great that the staff remembered us.

Drinks, service and food were excellent. The 38 day dry age steak was very tasty and tender.
Picked a perfect night to eat outside at Stage Left Steak. We'd managed to narrow down our choices from the menu when we were presented with specials which each sounded better than the last. On top of that, it's Southern Hemisphere black truffle season and the chef really knows how to use them. Oh, and same with the wine - great list and many interesting choices by the glass - and there were even more specials for those too tonight.
Literally the best scallops I've ever had. I don't know how they get such a great sear and still keep the rest of it perfectly cooked. Ribeye (with truffles) was fantastic. So was salmon with risotto (and truffles).

We had celebrated anniversaries here in the past but didn’t pay attention to the major change away from a white table cloth fine dining approach. The menu is very small and totally focused on steak. The reverse offers all the Catherine Lombardi choices. We had help selecting a fine bottle of a French red which definitely complemented our meal. We started with a special of stuffed clams and they were delicious. We chose to split a strip steak. I only saw one on the menu, described as 2 pounds. What was served was not that all. The owners stopped at our table and DH rather complained and we were told that we got a 14 ounce for half the price. We were left wondering if we would have been charged double if we hadn’t brought that up. The steak came with garlic butter and the house steak sauce. While it was cooked rare as asked, it didn’t taste as good as what I bought from the Acme last week. Our sides were charred asparagus, very good, and onion rings… fabulous tempura like. We were offered bread..plain or garlic after being seated. Garlic is the obvious choice…. I was rather surprised to see $10.95 charge on our bill for that. A real faux pas not to inform diners of the surcharge.
Food was very good. Ribeyes for everyone at our table were cooked exactly as ordered. Very pleased overall.

Food was delicious as always. We loved that we could order from both Stage Left and Catherine Lombardi. Restaurant is one of our favorite special occasion places. We were celebrated my in laws 45 anniversary.

After hearing about the burgers at this place I was really not too impressed. For the prices and everything they offer the food was just ok nothing special, just try it once and that’s it. My waiter wasn’t that friendly as well so just 3/5.
Booked Stage Left but was seated upstairs at Catherine Lombardis. Food was good but not great. Expensive for what you get. All the white cloth napkins were disintegrating and white specs all over our clothing. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said many people have been complaining about the napkins. Why not go out and get new ones? When you are spending 100.00 plus per person you should not have to deal with those issues.
Thank you for your feedback. We absolutely agree with your comments about the linen. Lately, we have been having trouble with our linen company's napkins have noticed the lint problem you spoke of. The waiter was unaware that we are switching to grey napkins of an slightly different fabric. We just need to wait for them to arrive.
Special night out!!
Food was superb. We shared a porterhouse and it was perfectly prepare. The wine list was superb however still many reasonably priced options. Our server was also the sommelier which made choosing wines fun. We went at 6 and was quiet however as the place filled it became fairly noisy.
We did not find prior reviews of inattentive servers to be accurate. My husband water was filled at least 6 times.
The femaale manager was also very attentive and quickly fixed the only error which was one of our desserts was forgotten. Excellent choice for a special night!!

Stage Left did not have the ambiance of an upscale restaurant given the price they charged. The steaks were good quality and cooked just right but a little lack of seasoning.
The service was good. Finding parking was a challenge. Overall we felt that it was somewhat overpriced compare with other "high end" steak houses we had tried. So I gave it three out of Five stars.
Food was ok although my steak under cooked but service was below what I’m used to with this place , very slow then disappeared waiters
After a 1hr wait for entrées we received our cold Filets over cooked and dry. The wait staffed was clearly overwhelmed and apologetic. The owners after having been made aware made no attempt to correct the food nor did they even attempt to comp a single round of drinks. ONE and DONE!
Mother’s Day Brunch was amazing! Slow service, but other than that everything was perfect.

We had a great time! The staff was awesome! They had a guitarist who nailed his performance.
All the dishes and cocktails were expertly prepared.
Only gripe was I felt the steak needed a touch of finishing salt, but other that that we had a great evening.

Thank you for our review. During normal times there would be a salt crusher on the table. Please feel free to ask. We also have Maldon salt for people who enjoy that.

Steaks were fantastic! Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating - made my wife who is a picky eater very happy. Wine list had multiple options in every price point and the cocktails were great. Very Covid compliant and made us feel very comfortable eating out again. Will definitely return and looking forward to bringing our friends with us next time!
Went to dinner Saturday night. Ended up eating at Catherine Lombardi the Italian portion of Stage Left. Due to COVID it's all combined. Sat upstairs, ambiance is nice, however there was one party that was extremely loud. We come here regularly and usually service and food is much better but for some reason the food was sub-par and the service was extremely slow and staff seem to focus on one couple the entire time we were there. Ordered drinks - martini came out on rocks (not ordered that way). It then tregular menu at $19.95, which comes in a creamy sauce. Nothing special about it. I had the special, pasta with wide noodles in a lemon sauce with scallops. Pasta was plain, scaook 15 minutes to get waiters attention. For dinner we ordered Fusilli off the llops tiny and very little. Not worth $27.95. For this price I expected nice size scallops. Ended up eating the scallops and leaving the rest. Would have ordered the lamb porterhouse but they ran out (not sure how a place like this runs out of something), which was disappointing. Also, the owners usually come around asking how everything is but this night were non-existent. Expect to pay about $140 for 2 with drinks.

Our go-to restaurant did not disappoint! Everyone’s food was delicious -the strawberry pasta is amazing! The servers were attentive and friendly. Stage Left Steak and Catherine Lombardi are worth the trip.
