A contemporary steakhouse in the heart of New Brunswick's theater district with a wood-burning grill serving delicious dry-aged steaks and locally sourced dishes since 1992. The wine list is extensive and features estate-bottled wines from small producers. A variety of hand-crafted cocktails are offered on the nationally-recognized cocktail menu. Winner of many accolades including Best of the Best, Best Steak, Best Burger, "Best of Award of Excellence", Coziest Restaurant and more.

We are currently open Monday - Thursday : 4:30-9 and Friday - Saturday : 4:30-9:30.

In cooperation with our sister restaurant, Catherine Lombardi, guests have the option of ordering from both of our menus on the days that we're open.

Great food, excellent service. A wonderful experience in every way. The mixologist even made a special bourbon cocktail to celebrate my wife’s birthday!

Fabulous fabulous fabulous!!!! Not a water glass empty…… servers are well trained and kind and knowledgeable!!! Great interesting special Cowboy steak on Himalayan salt was to die for! Black truffle spaghetti should be a staple… chocolate cake worth the wait

Phenomenal! We were married ant Stage Left and we decided to go back last night. I made a reservation and said it was our 3rd anniversary, they not only sat us in the same spot we sat in our wedding night but they made customized menus for us. I cried the entire dinner. The attention to detail, was unlike ann experience we have had before. Almost every staff member congratulated us and we even had some that were there from our wedding. The food is out of this world, The burger has been voted the best in NJ for years. Just go.I

The ceasar salad & stuffed clams were excellent, and the filet mignon trio was perfect cooked & also excellent, the server & mgr, and also asst.'s were all impeccable in their service, would definitely return!

Stage Left is one of my favorite local restaurants. I'm never disappointed. They have the best burgers anywhere. The other people I was with were also pleased with their dinner choices. Our server was friendly (and patient as we selected our beverages). It is a fairly expensive restaurant but well worth it.

Had a lovely date with my girlfriend. Usually we sit outside but a heatwave changed our plans. The dining room was lovely—beautiful art work and great music. It was nice and quiet despite there being a few larger parties dining at the same time. Dinner started with “a gift from chef Ricky.” It was a tempora dumpling with some sort of fish (I can’t remember what was inside) with a beautiful pesto made from ingredients from a local farm. From there we had the app special which was stuffed zucchini flowers. We also had the made to order mozzarella with fresh jersey tomatoes from a local farm. For our main course, we split the bone in strip steak. Highly recommend having the kitchen cut the steak off the bone and serving with a salt brick. The steak comes very rare and you finish cooking it on the salt brick. It’s an unforgettable experience. As always the waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. Christian picked out a bottle of wine for us that paired perfectly with our meal. He decanted it and made sure our glasses always had wine in them. Mark, one of the owners, stopped by to make sure everything was going well and we had a nice conversation. Julie also came by to check on us. She always makes sure our experience is perfect. Whether for a celebration or just a nice date night, I always recommend Stage Left and Catherine Lombardi. The staff from top to bottom works hard to make sure every detail is right. We’ll worth every penny spent!

Good food. Service a little slow. Very large menu because it is attached to the sister restaurant next door where you can get Italian dishes.
