Stack's Evening Eats
My family has eaten at Stack's Evening Eats a few times and the experience has been excellent and consistent. They do a great job of taking care of their guests with great food, great service, and a friendly/fun environment. I'd highly recommend a visit!
My wife and I had a lovely dinner at Stack's Evening Eats. Genuinely friendly and helpful people, and really good food.
From the outside, Stack's looks like a strip mall store. Inside it is tidy and clean and inviting.
We had halibut and flounder, and both were excellent. There is a full bar, and a very reasonable wine list.
Very much worth trying; we will return.
This place never fails for me. Always great menu selections, and their "specials" are always on point. Small, reservations recommended, but great atmosphere and friendly servers. Always want to go back.
Excellent meal and service-comfortable and casual.
Parsa always provides us with a very comfortable and welcoming experience.
Awesome eats & drinks! The Flounder was simply... AWESOME!
This little gem is often overlooked but shouldn’t be. The food is fabulous and always consistent!
The staff was very friendly and worked to ensure we were taken care of. We ordered the flounder & grits which was tasty. They were responsive to a request to swap out the butter beans for their spinach, but the spinach was honestly pretty bland. Also ordered their fresh ground burger - was really just your average burger. So, in a nutshell, we thought the food was pretty good, but the prices were more "downtown Charleston" and not commensurate.
The food was delicious. We had the truffle fries, brussel sprouts, and pork chop (my wife and I shared the meal). Pork chop was cooked perfectly. The Irish whiskey au jus really made the chop stand out. The bacon braised cabbage was the best I've ever had. Brussel sprouts were crispy and the dipping sauce really elevated them. And of course, fries with Parmesan cheese and truffle sauce is always a winner. Looking forward to going back.
Fish is always excellent. This will be a five all the way across the board except a little loud and if a little more comfortable.
Food was good!
Great Foodie spot, Fresh product, great waitstaff and owner. Tuna Wontons Awesome and the Flounder and Grits will fill you up for sure...
The food was outstanding and the service was excellence. Will definitely go back when I am in Charleston again.
We had guests visiting and wanted to go some place where we could talk without all of the crowd noise. Everyone’s food was terrific- 4 clean plates and the wine was great! Can’t wait to return.
Delightful bistro tucked away in a shopping center. We would have preferred a booth In the back instead of a table by the door, but the meal was nonetheless enjoyable,
Great menu variety and quality. Prompt service.
Great food, service, and value. I love this "hidden spot" and you must make reservations because it's a small place and fills up very past. Never disappoints.
Highly recommended Mt. Pleasant restaurant. Locally owned, and operated for many years.
Salmon and pasta was delicious! My husband's steak was very good. The service was outstanding.
love stacks. the appetizer oysters (raw) are good, as is the tuna dinner. we had seats downtown for our anniversary in great place, but wanted quieter place and not touristy. Love the fresh seafood and the sides. The flounder dinner was also really good.
One of our favorite Mount Pleasant laces for great food with friends. Our laughter joins that of many others in a friendly and sometimes noisy (in a good way!) place! our server, Michelle, was warm, frinedly, outstanding, attentive and very professional.
We had a fabulous meal. Very tasty dishes especially the fried oysters and the flounder. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Love this place....keep going back...a hidden gem,as they don't advertise..small, need reservations for sure..the Tuna tacos sre fab.
Been there now three times and been very impressed. Great value. One of those restaurants under the radar and over performs.
As always, a lovely experience: great food , service and ambiance.
Always good service. Get the founder - worth the trip!
We love Stacks Evening Eats. The service is always great and the menu consistently pleases. Great value too!
Fish special which was #1 on server's recommended list was overcooked to the extreme. Server never came back to ask how the meals were cooked. This was our group's 3rd visit to Stacks and will be the last. The previous 2 visits were mediocre with this last visit tipping the scales to the extreme. Bless their little hearts, many many eateries masquerade as fine dining restaurants with chefs. While this restaurant has prices associated with the better restaurants (fish special was $32.00 or so), the quality was worse than many eateries with a cook.
We had not been to Stack's, so this was a first time visit seeking new restaurants. No doubt we will be back. The food was very good with a large selection. Everything was nicely presented, with good sized portions, and reasonably priced. I am told that off season is the best time to go and there were still tables available when we arrived. I can imagine that the restaurant will be packed during the beach season.
This is a great neighborhood place with super food. It can get noisy and crowded during the beach season but we are locals and enjoy it in the off season. Try it!
Stacks is such a delight. Every time I eat there, I realize I should eat there more often!
Great food and service!!!! Perfect for every day and special occasions.
Forgotten how good the food is here. Service, menu offerings, and general neighborhood feeling reminded me of eating here before. I will be back much sooner than before. I love the restaurant even though it's a "little known gem" here in Mt. P.
Consistently excellent local, neighborhood haunt.
Quality food, excellent wine list, gracious service.
Excellent experience. The waitstaff was attentive. The specials were great and even the kids menu was good. I rarely get chicken when eating out because if typically is pretty boring. Stack's chicken is fantastic. We will be back.
Stack's Evening Eats is ALWAYS consistently GREAT!!! We dine here frequently and recommend it highly. Every guest we have brought LOVES it and looks forward to their next visit! The friendliness and unparalleled service and attention to detail and Delicious meals have us hooked!!!
Service was awesome. Food was great- clean plates all around! Excellent cocktails!
Weeknight dinner with a friend = my first time to Stack’s. Not sure I will rush back, but we had a good evening. I found the menu varied, but rather pricey. I decided on a small house salad, and an item from the “specials” menu - crab fritters. The salad was a small, rather predictable mix of greens, cucumber, red onions, carrots and tomatoes, the ranch dressing a little watery and bland. The crab fritters (4) were very small but the remoulade sauce was tasty and adequate. However, at a price of $9 the dish was disappointing. So with a glass of NZ Sauvignon Blanc, my bill, including tax and tip, came to $32. Sorry, but there are other restaurants in MP that offer better value for me.
Excellent service (Winston), tuna tacos were fantastic. Will definitely go back for more.
Some of the very best creme brule that you'll ever have.
Winston is wonderful to have take care of you.
I love going to Stacks!
First time at Stacks Friday night, can't wait to go back. Service was spot on and the food was excellent, excellent value as well
