Steam Plant Kitchen & Brewery
Fri, Sat 11:30 am–11:00 pm
Starter was the dip duo and the tortilla chips were stale and chewy with the guacamole very bland; not impressed. Main course was the Fiery Chicken Fettucine which was not fiery and very bland as well. Most disappointing meal I have in a long time.
Food and ambiance were great. Service was slow to pick up but got better. I think the server just started out a bit busy and was able to provide better service eventually.
We had a great dining experience at the Steam Plant. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the restaurant has a unique atmosphere.
Great setting. Good food. Please just turn the music down a touch... it was hard to hear my guest.
Our server Kayla was great! She was very knowledgeable regarding every inquiry we had from wine paring to history of the Plant! It made for a very nice evening out and our 1st dining experience here.
We purchased a t shirt for my husband and when we got home the server must have given us xxl for a woman how do i go about to exchange this?
I really liked the valet parking that's free with the meal. Parking was always hard to find, so this is new and very welcome for customers. I will come back more often now.
On a trip for which Spokane was a stopover, we choose Steam Plant based on reviews on Open Table. The setting was amazing, and they are more than willing to have you explore the building. The food was good but nothing surprising. My husband had the rotisserie chicken and really liked it. I found the steelhead well cooked. The serving are large. They gave us a complimentary dessert because it was our anniversary.
We took a long time to order but our wait person was quite patient with us. Stayed and talked after food was done which didn’t seem to be an issue. A little noisy. Great redecorating job and varied menu. Had the kale salad and broccolini which was good.
The food is never a disappointment and the service is exceptional.
Thanks for being open late as our plane was late coming in from Denver so had to change reservation a few times and your kitchen was thankfully still open. Great atmosphere and food and a much needed good drink.
Fantastic venue. Spotty service and mediocre food.
Great service and food quality. Very interesting to look around at the historical features.
Delicious! The staff was amazing!
Great staff, excellent waiter, awesome building. Food was good, steelhead arrived uncooked, they replaced and it was delicious. Two amazing deserts, frozen Oreo and cheesecake. Try thr lavendar lemonade-delicious! Valet parking made for easy access and was free. Overall a great experience.
Went back for a date night after the place was closed for a long time. Happy to see that the place hasn’t changed too much. Great food, excellent beer made on site. Service was polite and reasonably quick. My only gripe, and it is a small one, was the wobbly table and chairs we were sat at. I’m sure we could have moved if we’d asked, but I really feel like a place this nice should know better. Overall, I highly recommend to anyone wanting a good meal in an interesting environment.
Downtown Mac and cheese had a lot of onions in it but the pizza is amazing
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Spokane area! Such a unique and fun venue with excellent food.
Hostess was friendly; Server was attentive and had great timing. The atmosphere is so unique and cool, but the food is definitely the standout. Will definitely come again to try more of the menu.
We stopped in for lunch on Sunday right when they opened and had no trouble getting a table. Our beer sampler offered several really options, including a jalapeno beer that was just the right amount of spicy/refreshing! Definitely recommend the fig and apple flatbread pizza and the fish n chips. The reuben and spicy slaw were just ok. Great service and great atmosphere-- we really enjoyed walking around and learning more about the steam plant. Great lunch spot!
Very neat spot. Love the history and the restoration
Great place to eat. A very unique atmosphere. The food and the service was awesome.
My ribs were excellent! But the Ceasar Salad was to die for! How does they do that. I've had lots of ceasar salad and this tops them all! The apple pie dessert was killer. Oh my gosh, I was completely pleasantly surprised by how great my food was!
We were seated next to a large, very loud, drunk party in a back room. There were several open tables that I saw in what I would call a better area of the restaurant and asked to be moved. We were told they were all spoken for, but they were still unoccupied when we left. We left very disappointed to say the least. Our server, Rachel, was wonderful and as accommodating as she could be.
I took my friend and husband there for dinner. I had previously been there post-remodel with friends and liked it. My husband couldn't stop raving over his cod sandwich and my friend loved the mushroom pizza. My smoked salmon pasta was great and enough left overs for another meal. The valet parking is also a great bargain. We will definitely be back!
We went with our kids and they were fascinated by the old steam plant, as were we. The food was great and they accomodated my daughter’s picky palate. The ribs were great, as was the reuben and the ice cream sandwich!! They have great beers that they brew on site, and these change seasonally. Fun time
The menu is being expanded so check before as it is limited. Cool unique historical place. Salmon dill dip duo with guacamole and tortilla chips was delicious!
Food was not very good, everyone at the table was disappointed with their meal overall with comments like; fishy, lacked flavor, not seasoned, etc..Server was friendly, but she was scattered. She forgot to serve a fish and chip to a guy at a-table next to us. The strange part was his dinner was on the tray with the other 5 entry's, he finally got up and grabbed it. Not a great experience overall. We were excited to give it a try, disappointing.
We had a wonderful dinner with members of two families celebrating the upcoming wedding of our children. The menu provided each of us with a unique meal suited to our taste. Our server was enthusiastic and enabled us to have a delightful evening at the Steam Plant.
PS Loved the Jalapeno Ale!!
Once we were served everything went well. Good food, good drinks and I love the interior here.
It was nice!
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the food and service were outstanding. The waitress constantly checked on us to ensure that our night was perfect. We would definitely recommend this place for friends.
Food was fantastic and I got a great sugestión on paring a beer with my foo. Awesome.
We really enjoy our experience at the Steam plant, however on this occasion we brought a friend that had worked at the plant 1n 1961 as a apprentice and had not been there since and was looking forward to looking around at the interior. unfortunately he could not because nothing was accusable because of the space being used Dinner party ect... We understood . It would have been nice as part of going to the plant to be able to experience the rest of the building. The hostess however was very kind and offered a brochure to him of the history of the steam plant.
Great time with an excellent atmosphere. The food is a brilliant mixture of fantastic options.
We enjoyed our dinner at Steam Plant. Noisy, especially near the kitchen. Very unique place that's fun to be in and look around. My guest had salmon pasta. OK but not enough salmon. I had the steelhead. Asked for it to be rare but came fully done. Still good but not as good as it could have been.
While the new menu is not as diverse as the previous menu, there were still some good options and the food was tasty. We would like to see a few of their past menu items (chicken satay & Korean Kalbi Beef ribs) return.
This is the second time we have gone since the remodel, the experience has been top notch both times. The facility is great and exciting along with updates its inviting. We ordered the beef tenderloin and it really was amazing with the sauce and celery stuff? My wife and I do date night every Thursday around Spokane and Idaho and the only one restaurant we could compare the food experience to was the Churchill's and I am saying just as good if not better. The service was great too! Very warm and attentive. We sat in full view of the kitchen and they were very professional and all business! In our experience their customers are very important to them.
Went here with some friends on a Sunday evening. Food and drinks were both wonderful! Will definitely be coming back!
Fun place to "explore" the inner workings of a steam plant...and enjoy a great meal from a varied menu. Valet parking available.
