Everything was perfect. Our waiter was awesome and truly went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful meal. I wish I could remember his name, but I do recall he was very handsome with a beard.

We went to the Stable Cafe to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner before the Biltmore Candlelight tour. For the holidays, they are open for dinner and have 3 course, fixed price dinner. The food was good, but the portions were very small. The server seemed to have too many tables, several of which were large parties, and he was not very attentive. Additionally, we were rushed along instead of being able to relax and enjoy a glass of wine when dinner was done. Lunch might be a different experience, but I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner.

Visited and ate there prior to our Christmas Candlelight House tickets. The Filet Mignon was spectacular all the way around. It was a good value in that it included your appetizer and dessert. The atmosphere was unique and the service was spot on. It matched the grand ambiance of the estate.

We enjoyed our dinner before the candlelight tour at Biltmore Estate. Waitress was friendly and helpful with pointing out gluten free options. Food was very good. Only downside was that the restaurant was crowded and noisy. Too many tables too close together, and our table was right at the kitchen. The next time I make reservations there, I will specify table location, or preferably a booth.

The Stables had limited fixed menu offering a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert prior to the Candlelight tour of the Biltmore House. We were quite disappointed in the food as it was served lukewarm and reminiscent of offerings at a large buffet...rather bland and not at all what we had anticipated when booking our reservation. It was definitely not worth the rather hefty cost of the meal. We have dined at the Stables previously for lunch and were quite pleased with the food, value and ambience. However, we felt this meal did not meet the high quality of other meals we have enjoyed there.

Not my first visit to the Stable cafe and as usual very nice staff and atmosphere food was good except my ribs were dry. Food is pricy but expect that from all things biltmore. Overall I enjoyed it.

Made a reservation and showed up to hear they had no tables and 40 minute wait. So why make the reservation. Very tight quarters but understandable. It is a table.

If you’re eating while touring the Biltmore, this is still a fair option. Get a reservation because even on slow days the wait without one is long. Otherwise you’ll be eating a hotdog in the outside food court.
Expect the tables to be packed on top of each other and the chicken to be dry.

This is the third time eating at the stable cafe We made reservations for 8 people at 8:00 because that was the max amount of people you could reserve a table for. By the way they were busy. I had a party of 16 and we were done early on our Biltmore tour at 7:15. The staff at cafe said give us a few minutes and by 7:25 they had pulled tables together so all 16 of us could sit together and sat us early. Food was excellent!!! Service was excellent!! A lady at a table next to us asked their server " can you do me a favor? " and before she told the server what the favor was the server replied "absolutely". That is customer service. There are a lot of great restaurants around the Asheville area But, if you want an excellent dining experience, great food, and a staff that is in the " yes " business please dine at The Stable Cafe.

The food and service were excellent. Also had the Biltmore wine which is always a winner. Love that the restaurant was once a stable which adds to the charm. We were seated at a table but it was very intimate.

We ordered the rotisserie chicken. What they brought us was more the size of a cornish hen. I ordered the leg quarter and my FIL ordered the breast, for the money they should be embarassed what they served us. My MIL ordered the chicken salad, portion was ok, but would've liked a choice of dressing for the salad and my husband had the burger. The bread could have been a little fresher. All in all, it was high prices and the food was of average quality and below average portions. It's a place you go for the experience, but not the food.

I've eaten at The Stable Cafe for many different occasions and my latest visit was on a girl's weekend outing. The food is delicious and we were lucky enough to reserve one of the two window tables in the upstairs dining room. The view of The Biltmore Estate was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Highlights included the Holiday Sangria and Warm Pimento Cheese Dip.

Food was not good and it was very expensive for what you received. Felt like eating in a cafeteria. Service was great considering it was very busy. The remainder of the restaurants on the Estate were excellent.

Our visit was very pleasant. They had no record of our reservation but there was no problem to be seated and served immediately. Our food was delicious and generous portions. Our server was courteous and did a good job. She was not as friendly as some other servers but she took care of us without any problems. We left the restaurant for the Candlelight Tour and it was the perfect place to dine.

Fun to dine in the actual stables that were formerly used by the Vanderbilt family back in the late 1800's, early 1900's. Located adjacent to the mansion, it's easy access during or after your tour. Food is delicious!

Great service/prompt seating. Food was good but nothing outstanding. Biggest plus is that it is part of the BILTMORE HOUSE complex so it was very convenient to have dinner there before touring the house for a Christmas Candlelight tour. A bit overpriced but how do you measure convenience and the setting?

The Stable Cafe at Biltmore Estate is conveniently located adjacent to the estate. We visited after our Candlelight Christmas tour. The website indicated that we could select lighter fare rather than the three course prix fixe menu offered at other Biltmore restaurants. That is why we selected The Stable Cafe in the first place. However, we were unhappy to find that The Stable Cafe offered the same menu as the other restaurants--the website was incorrect. We decided to stay, even though three courses were more than we wanted to eat. My ravioli was very good, but my husband's roast chicken was tough without much flavor. The price was fairly high, but not surprising considering where we were.

The best part of the evening was our server. She was outstanding in every way--she knew the menu well and was attentive without being obtrusive.

The decor of the converted stable was well done. Many parts of the original stable were left as is, which gave the restaurant great character. The atmosphere and location are quite a draw.

My favorite restaurant on the Biltmore Estate. Used Open Table for reservation, had 5 min wait before being seated. Excellent, prompt service. Menu offers plenty of choice, and meals are heavier, comfort food, which I prefer during the fall/winter season. 3 people in our party, all satisfied with experience.

We were visiting Asheville for a seminar and I need to eat gluten free for medical reasons. There were several options, including dessert. The food was expensive but the quality made it well worth it. Service was exceptional and I will eat there again next time I'm in town. Veterans receive a 10% discount if you ask and have ID.
