Great food, service & ambience...a memorable night all around.
Very enjoyable Irish Pub with live Irish music. Food is good and a lot of choices on the menu. Not the place if you want to have much conversation, since noise level is high. Very busy place with a mixed crowd.
One our go-to restaurants for good food, drinks and a pleasant ambiance. Usually pub/restaurants can get a bit loud, not at St Stephens. There’s nothing negative I can say. Highly recommended. It’s a must-go Again kind of place. Prices are great too!
The food was great. Service also. Love this place.
Went there for lunch one day and had a burger and was very pleased. Found out they were having music the next night so we made reservations for that night as well. The music, food and service were extraordinary. They even had Irish ravioli for probably the only Italian in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Went for the lobster special they have all summer. Enjoyed the meal, though had to ask for bread.. which usually doesn't happen, so maybe we had an ok waitress rather than some of the better ones we have had in the past.
Great dinner! Mussels, scallops, and potato cake appetizers fantastic! Meatloaf, Rueben, and English breakfast all delicious! Great beer selection on tap - something for everyone. All left stuffed! We will return!
Guiness beef stew and Irish soda bread were awesome. Enjoyed the live music. Service was friendly and attentive.
Love everything about this gem! Food, energy, staff all awesome! You
By far one of the best restaurants in New Jersey. I drive an hour just to eat there. Love their mussels too
Great food, friendly and competent wait staff, great Irish band!!!!!
Food was delicious and our waitress Jesse was awesome
We went on Wed which was lobster night. My husband had 2 one pound lobsters, which were Delicious. Price was great! I had the fried shrimp & chips which were excellent. Love the special sauce. Their traditional Irish cuisine is also excellent along with their beer.
Came as a party of 4 on a Saturday night. We were sat promptly and the waitress came over right away and got our drink orders. The pretzel appetizer was really good (served with cheese and mustard dip!) and the beef stew was delicious and my husband really liked his rail roader beef brisket sandwich! The chicken, bacon, avocado wrap was also really good! A live band started at 9:30! Great Irish pub and food!
The food was excellent. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly to order and was accompanied by a generous serving of mashed potatoes and broccoli. The Danny Boy filet was delicious as well. The servers were friendly and efficient. It was a little loud, but the live Irish music made the place great fun. There was a lively bar crowd after dinner and we enjoyed some Irish coffees while continuing to listen to the entertainment.
The fish & chips dinner was the beast I have ever had!! 2 large pieces of filet done to perfection!!
Great Irish-themed spot with live folk music and traditional Irish food!
Prime rib and seafood pot pie were excellent. Have dined here quite often and food is consistently good.
Not impressed. Sat down at a broken table, that was dirty. Waitress rushed is asking our order before we even opened the menu. Once plates were served. Asked every 5 minutes of we were done. Did not enjoy the experience at all
Food was delicious, menu was great very different and lots of yummy choices! Seated quickly friendly service.
Very very nice Irish pub. Amazing amount of variety on menu.
Good comfort food and friendly service! Also, good value for the money!
Lobster Night is a very good meal....choice of one pound lobster or two pound lobster...really good meal...enjoyable and great deal.
Baked cod was delicious, vegetable side dishes were overcooked. Hot turkey sandwich was good though the first time delivered with gravy though ordered without. They Quickly corrected the order. The seafood pot pie was also good. Noise level was really high and we left before any music began.
Always good food from an authentic Irish menu. Everything is good
Great food great drinks and we can take the kids!
This is a classic Irish themed pub with a large menough and friendly service. The food is always tasty and portions are big. Nice for groups and families. Billy the bartender is the best.
We had an early dinner at 6 and it was quiet but it was a Thursday night. We had a good dinner. Fish and chips and a Reuben. Generous portions. Service was great. We had a nice anniversary dinner there
My wife, "the best sandwich I ever had"
I would be very happy if more gluten free options were available to me. We travel a pretty good distance to get there, but usually go at least once a month. My husband especially loves their sandwiches.
The occasion was my son's graduation from grammar school.
Only minor issue was it was too hot. The ac needed to be set to a cooler temp, not 75.
All else was great!
Our waitress was great. It was very nice and comfortable to sit and have a bite to eat and drink and not be rushed. It was very enjoyable to eat there. However, the hamburger I ordered was over cooked when I asked for medium rare, it came out what I consider 'well done' meaning over cooked. But we enjoyed ourselves in spite of it. I would never order the burger again. I'd try something less easy to screw up.
We took our family to St. Stephens. The Irish singers were fun and the food was great.
Good food and service. Lively atmosphere. Will return.
Made res for Mother's Day for 2:30 dinner as my daughter lives in City and had to head back.
Got there and was told had to eat from the buffett (that had been sitting out for hours) I quietly told hostess when I made reservation there was no asterisk or any indication that we would have to eat from the buffett and would not be allowed to order what we wanted. She sent over "Mgr" cook attending to buffett he rudely lmk that he didn't care what was on OpenTable it was buffett until 3pm so we had to sit there and wait... pretty lousy attitude. I worked in restaurants all through school and I know how its done, that is not how its done....
We love it!!
Service was terrible. Food was great. Table next to us waited 30 minutes for 2 fish and chips meals.
We had a 2:15 reservation for Easter and a party of 5. We were greeted pleasantly and promptly. We saw a buffet table and asked about it. The hostess said that buffet was the only option until 3pm. No where on their website which I checked a few times was there any mention of an $32/ pp Easter buffet. It was disappointing and not what we expected. Very unimpressive and several items were no longer available, including the salmon. We've been there many times before and enjoyed the pub menu and vibe.
It's always a fun place to go. We go alone and we go with friends. Tuesday nights are the Irish Sessions. Find a Sunday evening when the Bantry Boys are playing and you will thank yourself for sure!
Celebrated my moms 82nd, she loved the atmosphere, The Bantry Boys & all our meals were delicious The colcannon is a must!
