Great place. Waitress are so kind and food is amazing
This is the best food in the Twin Cities and a wonderful ambience for a romantic evening, dinner with friends or a family dinner. One of our all time favorites!
My wife requested The St. Paul Grill for her Birthday dinner as it is her favorite fine dining restaurant in the Metro area. We are always amazed by the quality and taste of items we order. We try to never order the same item so we have been fortunate to have had many excellent meals. The appetizers are sized to be shared. The service is impeccable and friendly. Outstanding cocktail menu - "Abolut Wreck" is definitely worth a try! Highly recommend.
We had the best waitperson! He was welcoming, efficient and got everything right. My charred salmon salad was delicious. The dark bread in the bread basket was outstanding!!
It is a special dining place so expect
prices that support it.
Setting is beautiful. Food was disappointing. The trout was dry and flavorless. My friend's pork chop was so full of fat that she stopped eating it after three bites. The server tried to disagree about the pork chop (resulting in two middle-aged people discussing/sparring over what a pork chop should be like), but ultimately the restaurant did not charge for the pork chop. That was the appropriate response, but I appreciated it nonetheless. Service overall was fine. Prices are high.
We went for our anniversary, I had the trout, she had the walleye, we tasted each others and I'm having walleye next time! Or maybe the chicken? I'm not sure, but there will definitely be a next time.
We had the same server as last time, and he was awesome, great energy, personality and attention to detail. He made us feel like the only guests in the restaurant! We love coming here.
Very good brunch
Brunch was wonderful. Food was excellent with many choices for breakfast or lunch. Large servings.
Excellent brunch menu and service. Thank you very much!
I love the St PAUL Grill, but the lamb chop I had was the toughest lamb chop I have ever had. That was disappointing. The prices are up as well, I had one drink, no appetizers and no dessert. My son doesn’t drink and the bill was $150. A bit disappointing but I knew what I was getting myself in for.
As long as Ryan and Paul are there so will we
Our server Ryan was the best we’ve had in a very long time. Knowledgeable, funny, and attentive. The food was good as always.
Great, as always! The steak bites are SO good!! We missed Diane, of course, but were well taken care of by Jessica (hostess) and our waiter, Charles.
St. Paul Grille always comes through. Was seated right at 4:30 and out by 6:00pm the AA evening QF's
Fabulous!!! Delicious food.. great service from Susan!!!
Always a favorite for a special brunch. Great, friendly service too!
Birthday brunch
Love this place, it’s our go to for brunch. Their food is amazing never had anything I didn’t like. Ambience is great, just their service is always slow no matter if their busy or not.
The St. Paul Grill is one of our favorite places to go downtown. Everyone was happy with their food and the service was great. We were able to get our reservation and make our event for the evening.
Great service and good food! We will continue to go back and enjoy good service, lunch and dinners.
Excellent server and delicious food! We love the ambiance of this restaurant and the view of the park.
Prompt and courteous staff. I enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance. The food was delicious. I enjoy their dinner menu more.
The proportions were quite generous and the food tasted great. Would highly recommend this place for all sorts of occasions
Great service! Very attentive waitress. Great wine recommendations!
A standard bearer for dining in the Twin Cities. Impeccable service, and restaurant week was a great value.
We always enjoy the St. Paul grill. We love coming to restaurant week. It’s such a good value!
Food was great. Not sure if it was the background noise but our server had trouble understanding us and got couple of things wrong. The pace of our dinner was perfect for an evening with friends.
Servers Mary and Christian were very pleasant. Food 🥘 was excellent.
Wonderful staff and wonderful food! The view was beautiful, such a beautiful environment
Awesome food and great service. The dining room was quite a bit louder than I would’ve preferred, but overall it was a good experience.
Food was great but service was exceptionally poor. Our server, Toni, disregarded our request for a cocktail menu, so we had to ask another server for one. Toni was inattentive- when she brought our drinks to the table, she told us she forgot who ordered what, and that she was just going to call the drinks out. She asked how we want to split checks prior to ordering, but when the checks came, they were incorrect.
It was hopping on a Monday night. Drinks were delicious - the Pear Say martini was an excellent choice! Salads were enormous and enjoyed! Entrees did not disappoint! Beef tenderloin was juicy and tender, as were the steaks. The walleye was tasty! We ordered too much dessert but all was delicious, especially the banana crème pie and the apple crisp. Dinner at the St Paul Grill should be on everyone's list.
Always great dining at St Paul Grill - awesome food, service & ambiance.
One of the best brunches I’ve had
The Sunday Brunch is outstanding, starting with the caramel nut rolls, mimosas and leading into an incredible array of options for the main course.
We were by the kitchen and also bus station was loud every time they threw silverware and jammed the tub into our booth. We asked for it to stop, it never did! Pasta dish was dry but hot. Rotisserie chicken was dried out and Luke warm. We stayed in the hotel very nice, but very unhappy with the dining experience.
Excellent food and service but if your looking for a quiet romantic place it’s a little loud.
Everything was fantastic as usual. A first time visit for my granddaughters before going to see Shen Yun.
Classic old school American fine dining. Server and service we're fantastic.
